🌴 Toon and Leigh Porpeang Farm Thailand 🇹🇭
#️⃣ #thailand #thailandvlog
Stick a hybrid solar inverter in the system and a few more panels on the roof
Hey Leigh, another weekend for me in the million-acre cat box so I stopped in. We got the fence and a well on our property in Thailand so were taking baby steps. Always a good psychological pick me up to give you a watch. I hope you got at least 1.21 Gigawatts of power for your farm but I recommend that Toon keeps the Moto under 88 mph from here on out.
That's great to hear things are progressing for you mate.
Twins Keira & Cameron make a brief appearance in our next video.
It'll be published later today.
Twizzilee thing & Waffling ??? So many other odd words I heard you speak as well... hmmm.
Seeing as I'm from Canada, I don't quite understand fully your freaky deekey version of British English?
Perhaps as a curtesy, you could begin placing subtitles on your videos for Clarities sake.
Even though I don't know who Clarity is, I'm sure she would agree with me. Just Sayin :)
Love it. I'm sure Clarity does too 😆
Cinema quality video truly enjoyable you can use the new chain saw
I'll get Toon on it first 😉
Leigh ,You checked you not got rats in your wardrobe ,Just saying 🙄😁
Brilliant lol.
Ahh ya soft,, you’ll have a dishwasher next 😂
Nah, hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face, with mild green fairy liquid 💦
How do you get a visa to live there if you got no money in the bank; a income ?????
Marriage & retirement visas both require either money in a Thai Bank or a monthly pension.
I'm not so well up on work or company visas.
Welcome to the new tech lol.. Shame about the shirt collar though🤣
Still good for another year or two lol.
So now you can have a hot water shower with hydro power 👍🇨🇦❤️
Nah, where's the fun in that, it doesn't make any compost lol.
Unbelievable… carelessness abounds . 🤦🏻♂️
Wait till you see the damage along the new side road lol.
Yep... We got twizzly things too... lol
Modern technology ay!
Great to see and hear a post from you Leigh. Missing hearing a few expletives from Toon! All the best for this brave new world.
Cheers GComms. Toon's still firing the odd expletive across my bow 🤬
😊❤❤❤❤❤❤from uk xxx
Thanks Lynda
now get a spare battery charger and keep your batteries toped off, most efficient to only use at night
Gday took and Leigh hope all is well, enjoy your videos but more so the fishing competition ones. Anyway was hoping to get a little advice on what fish to put in or family hobby farm pond. Looking to put fish in it after rainy season
Cheers Martin. First & foremost, choose species you like to eat lol.
Striped Catfish take some beating. They eat most things, grow fast, don't climb out in the rains, can handle low oxygen levels quite well and taste great fried.
That cost to get the electrical installation done is amazing.
I would hate to tell you what comparable in the UK would cost...great job to change your life really.
Absolutely Darryl, we were both pleasantly surprised when we found out. The guys who did the install are full-time employees of PEA. Always a bonus to get qualified electricians lol.
I thought we were having it rough when we had a few days around 40°😅. Recently we've had some damaging gales but good rainfall. Just short of 60mm in 2 days. Its been great to have a rest from watering the garden. The pond's full too, not that it gets very low anyway, as our water table is very high.
We don't have town water but we do have power for the house and plenty of solar lights spread about. Glad you got hooked up for free!
Cheers Chris. How's those carp doing mate?
@@TLFarm There coming on but I have too many fish in the pond so the growth rates are very slow. The carp get to the food first so our Tilapia arent growing too well. We've got used to eating smaller ones but I need to remove a lot of Carp 😃. Sadly, only the commons seemed to have bred and no mrigals, but when all said and done, I love my fish! I enjoy feeding, watching, catching and eating them! Can't catch the Snakehead though. They're feasting on all the small fish, so aren't interested in lures!
@@chriscrookson8524 yep not easy getting them on lures. The soon wise up to what's going on. Standing hooks at the edge at night will get them.
@@TLFarm Thanks Lee! I've tried standing hooks with worms but the Tilapia are straight on them 😃 I need to make one of Toon's frog catching devices and try a few frogs! Definitely seems the way to go 🐸
Amazing mate....good to see you have reliable power...oh the air conditioning!...hope u have a good cool down room...no worries on all that debris...you'll manage...it can all be used for something as you know...and yeah that's quite a laugh the way all those logs are laying about after the cuts...lol...and indeed the power bill is a concern...we focused on trying to find one product on the farm that's sale is dedicated to the power bill fund such as the fish ponds....maybe you can carve out part of a homestay fee and dedicated it to a power bill fund...just keep it going on a budget schedule....anyway...good on ya's...we'll have to stop by some time now that you have power...lol
We we're spending 300tbh per month on ice cubes & ice blocks. Now we make all that we need. Can't see the bill being any more than that seen as we don't have AC installed.
@@TLFarm 300...sounds good!...we were 500 for one meter and about 3500 for the other....lol...but that's all my power tools and welder etc...and of course aircons....so it sounds like you can now have a small aircon installed...!....go for it!...lol
Its the same over our way in Lom-sak area & they say its going to carry on like this for a good few years
Apparently so mate. Thankfully, the lake and ponds are doing better this year than any other dry season.
This coming rainy season we'll be adjusting our lake overflow pipe to hold back more water.
@@TLFarm sounds like a good idea if the predictions are true 40c will become the norm 😰😰😰😰
You've got something on your right glasses lens. It's a little white spot and I can't quit looking at it. Then, I realized you were blinking a lot with your right eye. So, wipe it off!
Jeez, I thought that I needed to get out more Eddie. Stop polishing that Honda & take it for a spin, but Toon said just not here 😂
@@TLFarm Believe it or not, I'm coming down this year. Going to kick some butt in the fishing derby, going to bring Toon a new weapon to kick your butt in fishing and a ping pong table. I've got special paddles for Toon and special paddles for you and me. Let the beer flow freely and the ping pong keep us up all night.....😎🤕🤕🤔
@@TeamDNFracing Toon said she doesn't believe anything you say anymore 😂
@@TLFarm Well, tell her I believe she would stick me with that needle if I didn't bring gifts down when I visit... I'll be down this year. I'm actually ready now to catch a fish at Porpang farm. You know, something I've never done before.... Tell her I love her, stay safe and be ready to play some ping pong......
Great to see you are now on grid,, 🙏
Thanks Dave. We'll be putting the air fryer to good use now!
Nice to see a post mate. Handy having mains elec for sure.
Feels well weird matey.
@@TLFarm If it's anything like here, the solar will be the back up. Quite often goes out in a storm Got a feeling it's going to be another heavy rainy season.☔☔☔
Great video Leigh! Thanks for posting one 😊
Nice one thanks Marietta. We might record another one soon as it's forecast for only 36 degrees this week lol.
@@TLFarm don’t forget to drink lots of H2O Toon & Leigh! Take care & be well 😊
Congratulations !
Cheers DW, it's been a loooooong time coming.
Hey mate that's nice and handy having the electricity run for free and then only to pay 5000 baht to connect to your house is a bargain. Did I hear "Tractor" does this mean the return of Macro Man and the Bromance will continue this year? 😆😆
We were expecting to pay 10,000+ so were well chuffed.
Alas no Macroman here. I miss him so much 💔
@@TLFarm We all miss Macroman 5555. Mate it's called Khatin? in Thailand but is the western name of that tree called Meringa? I only ask because I have a mate that has now gotten 4 bucklings as pets for his kids (don't worry he has a lot of land and timber) so I have told him I would ask about the above mention plant and also metioned how you also use the goats to active charcoal.
Just thought of this but have you ever heard that urine from female animals contain higher levels of oestrogen which is a plant growth inhibitor? I know the Italians swear by blokes piss on citrus is good but not females?
@@gavreynolds2689 we give them Gatin/ Justin which is known as Leucaena. Moringa (called Maroom out here) is also very good for goats.)
Both grow fast & are nitrogen fixers for the soil.
Leucaena gives us wood for making biochar (moringa is too soft.)
Leucaena does go to seed and spread if left unchecked.
Nice update, glad you got the electric at such a bargain price. Hope the rain and cooler weather is not too far away 🙏😊
Cheers Mark Mark. Now we can leave the karaoke on charge all the time lol.
How's that playlist coming along?
I have a couple in my mind but haven’t started to practice, how is frozen coming along 😊
@@markbrooke4100 you should be singing along to them while you're tapping away on your computer.
Regarding Frozen, it's really not for me to say, but I personally think my version is better than the original 😂
