  • Kathrine Switzer became the first woman to run the Boston Marathon in 1967, when she entered under the gender ambiguous name 'K.V. Switzer'. Switzer is running the race again today, at the age of 70. She is wearing the number 261, the same the number she wore 50 years ago, which will be retired after this year. Women weren't officially allowed to run the marathon until 1972. Switzer has competed in more than 30 marathons, and won the New York Marathon in 1974.

She absolutely finished the 67 Boston Marathon even after being attacked by race coordinator Jock Sempel. Do your homework.

How far we have come. I don't know if that was some sort of propaganda but she actually DID finish the race and she finished it with a solid time of 4 hours and 20 minutes.

She did physically run it, but was counted as a DNF regardless in 67.

Let's not forget Bobbi Gibb, a woman, who ran the entire race unofficially in 1966.

Bobbi Gibb didn`t have a number, she ran the complete distance but wasn`t accepted as an entrant.

The video footage is from MY WIFE’s 1992 Pikes Peak Marathon. MY WIFE is 25 years younger than the old hag Swizer. MY WIFE is a lot prettier than Swizer. MY WIFE got attacked because she looked like she was about to win #1. She came in #4. The young guy Swizer claims is her “boyfriend” was a 25 year old soldier in Colorado Springs and NOT dating MY WIFE at the time! The old grey haired guy running behind MY WIFE is USA JOINT CHIEF DAUBECK who ought to be retired he’s so old...but can’t retire because some fool mistook an old Swizer for a YOUNG female Soldier.

I’m sorry, but what? You off your meds or something? This was in 1967, Boston Marathon, and Katherine Switzer was the first woman to officially run it.
