I finally got hooked up to the tanker on the 162 Training Server 2 only to mess it up by going third person and then an RWR interrupts my perfectly good A/A refueling training.
instead of trying to chase down the basket, i suggest referencing a point on the tanker and flying formation off of that. personally, i put the drogue pod between the two layers of the HUD on the right corner and try to keep distance by feathering the throttle up and down, works really well for me
Nice job refueling. Discussing the F-35 in the beginning? They are loud. I live 10 miles from Luke AFB and i can easily hear them. Never really heard the F-16s. At night in the winter with some clouds the F-35s will rumble your chest at my house.
As a New Englander after seeing Ben&Jerry’s complaining about the noise of the new jet, my biggest regret is not going for a slot in the ANG and ripping over their factory every day.
