Thanks for the video. I used a Dremel to cut out the holes. Way easier than whittling away at it with a razor.

I’m looking at the 2022 can am outlander 450 dps, will this kit work on it?
I think the consul cover is different on the 450 or you might need a different kit
Great video. Now I had the dealership install mine. Now when I get in the throttle it sounds like it’s starving for air. And idea what that can be
Check the tubing coming out of your airbox make sure there are no bends and it is free and clear out the top of the snorkel

What about the other tubes that comme out of there? I believe its the clutch breeder, should i extend the tubes in to the snorkel? Thanks.
If you can figure out a way to do so it might not be a bad idea or look at a different snorkel kit

Great Video ..But what about the big whopping hole on the other side of the benzel ?
I have the same exact question. I just installed this and i’m not very happy with the large hole on the side.
That's the original cover,you can go online and get the basic cover without holes in it.
how did you cover the hole on the right side of the display casing?
Your options are to leave it there or buy a new cover👍
would there be no possible way to leave the original cover on that side and essentially only drill the rivets out on the other side to keep from seeing that hole?
@@connerbergeron7838 I was just at the dealer and they suggest buying the XT cover for $25. It doesnt have the hole.

Yes it will
Will the kit fit the same on a non xmr 850?
Yes you’ll just have to use the other set of templates to cut a hole in the middle and on the left side of your cover refer to the instructions for placement of those templates

No it doesnt
Yeah, I was surprised this kit did not, but there are other kits available that do from Can-Am
So this is only for air intake? What about cvt?
You’ll have to talk to Can-Am about that one I just install the product

I believe so, but look at one of the other kits, but actually snorkels the CVT as well
What about the transmission intake ?
This kit does not vent the transmission intake only takes care of the motor
What happens with the hoses
They are pointed upwards and ran alongside the air intake
This snorkel does not allow you to go any deeper than stock because the clutch breather is still at the same level and will fill with water👍 can-Am products
Does this kit not relocate the CVT intake and exhaust?
Not this kit. This one is their cheapest kit which only does the engine air intake. Which is all you need for the most part to not get into a lot of trouble.
This snorkel for the air intake or belt intake ?
This kid doesn’t do the best job but there is another Can-Am kit that does a better job of snorkeling the clutch
a white sharpie cost 79 cents to outline the template.

This product is pointless....
The only thing extended was the CVT intake... The CVT exhaust and air intake for the engine still sits at the factory level, so you gain nothing but appearance.
The installation video was well detailed and informative. It informed me not to waste my money on it.
your actually wrong. the intake for the engine is getting raised. The cvt exhaust and the cvt intake are staying in the factory positions. id rather get water in my belt box before my engine.
@Nicholas Davis your right about which intake it is. But once your belt box gets full of water you aren't going anywhere. You are much better off getting a full snorkel kit for the same price.

these snorkels make no sense because once you get up to the radiator and it goes underwater your belt will get wet and the only snorkel going up is the intake and the exit will still be underwater so i think these snorkels are useless

Wouldn’t swamping the belt box be 1,000% better than swamping the engine though? 🤷♂️
