would there be no possible way to leave the original cover on that side and essentially only drill the rivets out on the other side to keep from seeing that hole?
This product is pointless.... The only thing extended was the CVT intake... The CVT exhaust and air intake for the engine still sits at the factory level, so you gain nothing but appearance. The installation video was well detailed and informative. It informed me not to waste my money on it.
your actually wrong. the intake for the engine is getting raised. The cvt exhaust and the cvt intake are staying in the factory positions. id rather get water in my belt box before my engine.
@Nicholas Davis your right about which intake it is. But once your belt box gets full of water you aren't going anywhere. You are much better off getting a full snorkel kit for the same price.
Yes you’ll just have to use the other set of templates to cut a hole in the middle and on the left side of your cover refer to the instructions for placement of those templates
This snorkel does not allow you to go any deeper than stock because the clutch breather is still at the same level and will fill with water👍 can-Am products
Not this kit. This one is their cheapest kit which only does the engine air intake. Which is all you need for the most part to not get into a lot of trouble.
these snorkels make no sense because once you get up to the radiator and it goes underwater your belt will get wet and the only snorkel going up is the intake and the exit will still be underwater so i think these snorkels are useless
Was a perfect how-to video! Took me 90 min start to finish to do this while install. Thanks for the great instructions.
Glad it helped!
Best video I’ve seen on this install yet. You got yourself a new subscriber.
Thank you for the support I greatly appreciate it👍
Awesome video, thanks for that..i'm doing the same install tomorrow
Glad it helped
Thanks for the video. I used a Dremel to cut out the holes. Way easier than whittling away at it with a razor.
Awesome I bet a Dremel worked pretty good I just like to use tools in my videos that I know everyone has at home
That gauge cover does it just come right off? What is it held in by?
Great video, very clear explanation..👍
Thank you🤙
Hey buddy which one I can by for my can am 700 xt?
Very clear and covered every detail
Thank you I hope you found it helpful and straight to the point👍
I have a little older model it’s a 2014 will the snorkel work and fit correctly?
can you have a speaker from kicker with a rage mount with the snorkel
I’m not too sure about that. I haven’t seen that system yet.
What did you do about the hole on the side
You have to order a new cover without a hole
Tank you , super video !!!!!
You’re welcome I’m glad you found it helpful👍
What about the cvt intake amd exhaust
Yeah, it’s not the best snorkel kit
Great Video ..But what about the big whopping hole on the other side of the benzel ?
I have the same exact question. I just installed this and i’m not very happy with the large hole on the side.
That's the original cover, you can go online and get the basic cover without holes in it.
Followed everything on the web, but only C1 template appears.
At the 40 second mark of the video I show exactly where to go and print off the templates👍
I just bought a outlander xmr 570 & im wondering if I install the horn
If it will affect my warranty?
No it should not affect your warranty this is a can and product👍
No sir it won’t
Great video. Now I had the dealership install mine. Now when I get in the throttle it sounds like it’s starving for air. And idea what that can be
Check the tubing coming out of your airbox make sure there are no bends and it is free and clear out the top of the snorkel
@@Maxsmotoshop that’s what it was. The air hose was kinked
Will this work for a Outlander XT as well? Thanks
Yes it will
Hey just a quick question does this raise the air intake and clutch intake?
No it doesnt
Yeah, I was surprised this kit did not, but there are other kits available that do from Can-Am
Verry nice and helpful video, only thing i would of done is extend the rubber line to the top. Keep up the good work
👍
If u go that deep ur belt box will be full of water anyways
That’s what I was thinking about the belt too
What about the transmission intake ?
This kit does not vent the transmission intake only takes care of the motor
What about the other tubes that comme out of there? I believe its the clutch breeder, should i extend the tubes in to the snorkel? Thanks.
If you can figure out a way to do so it might not be a bad idea or look at a different snorkel kit
@@Maxsmotoshop ok thanks great tutorial!
I’m looking at the 2022 can am outlander 450 dps, will this kit work on it?
I think the consul cover is different on the 450 or you might need a different kit
Will this fit my 2023 xmr 1000? @Max Moto Shop
I believe so, but look at one of the other kits, but actually snorkels the CVT as well
Do you have any videos on the plow limit switch install?
No I have not had to install one of those yet
how did you cover the hole on the right side of the display casing?
Your options are to leave it there or buy a new cover👍
would there be no possible way to leave the original cover on that side and essentially only drill the rivets out on the other side to keep from seeing that hole?
@@connerbergeron7838 I was just at the dealer and they suggest buying the XT cover for $25. It doesnt have the hole.
So this is only for air intake? What about cvt?
You’ll have to talk to Can-Am about that one I just install the product

Will the kit fit the same on a non xmr 850?
Yes you’ll just have to use the other set of templates to cut a hole in the middle and on the left side of your cover refer to the instructions for placement of those templates
What happens with the hoses
They are pointed upwards and ran alongside the air intake
This snorkel does not allow you to go any deeper than stock because the clutch breather is still at the same level and will fill with water👍 can-Am products
This snorkel for the air intake or belt intake ?
This kid doesn’t do the best job but there is another Can-Am kit that does a better job of snorkeling the clutch
Does this kit not relocate the CVT intake and exhaust?
Not this kit. This one is their cheapest kit which only does the engine air intake. Which is all you need for the most part to not get into a lot of trouble.
a white sharpie cost 79 cents to outline the template.
OK sure but not needed
Can i comment on the jz commercial?
Jz commercial?
Key word: DREMEL😅
"Tim plates"
???
these snorkels make no sense because once you get up to the radiator and it goes underwater your belt will get wet and the only snorkel going up is the intake and the exit will still be underwater so i think these snorkels are useless
Yeah I would not get one personally
@@Maxsmotoshop yeah i’ll prob just make some my self to be honest or get warrior riser
@@Maxsmotoshop i would get one if there was a 3 way connect or something like that connecting them toghter but there isn’t
Wouldn’t swamping the belt box be 1,000% better than swamping the engine though? 🤷♂️
their made for a XT not xmr
Come on bro,
...a knife ?
Lol
Yep no special tools required. Everybody has a knife but I guess not everybody knows how to use one. Lol ha ha ha OK bud
Seems pointless for an extra 10 in of airflow
