I lived at my house for 30+ years and did not know we had flying squirrels. My neighbor put up lights shining into the trees. I asked what they were for and they said they would go out and watch the flying squirrels at night. It was crazy, you could set still and then start seeing the squirrels flying from tree to tree. We have regular squirrels, but I never saw the flying squirrels in the daytime.

Well Jim, you have two SI swim suit models living with you. I hear there is good money in it.😁Look forward to following the progress of the squirrels. Marie's Mom raised one like that years ago. Darn thing would climb the curtains and then run down and bite her dad then run back up curtain and fuss. Don't let cat get close, if he is like our cats he'll eat them.🙃I'm excited to see the "shop" take shape. (Sorry girls, it's a man thing.)😉

My grandmother raised a baby squirrel, it was so playful and ran around the house all the time. It would jump on us and start playing as well as biting. It never bit hard, but his teeth were very sharp. He didn't really hurt us just playing. Grandma would take him outside to let him run in the yard. Normally he would come back to Grandma but one day some other squirrel was in the oak trees, and he didn't come back. For several months when Grandma would come outside, he would come see her but never came back to her, he had found his new home and family. It is a good memory.

Thats exactly how my great grandpa would move things. Moved a barn, conX boxes, just about everything.
Back in the day, Army would also move conX boxes (shipping containers) with split axles.
If there was a manufacturered house axles laying around, hed be cutting, sleeving, and making them carry something somewhere.
Trailer shop in town does the same basic thing, calls them adjustables. Makes some for a local tow company that moves heavy/farm equipment.
I make something similar for 200sqft sheds on my property. Except i cut off old truck axle wheels about a foot from the hub.
The pipes are permanently attached to the sheds, and if i need to move them i just put them on.

Brought back some memories back in 1979 after hurricane Frederick in Mobile Al. I was 7 at the time. We found one baby squirrel in a milk carton and another one was brought to us. They followed me everywhere it was a while before they left the nest. I also had a flying squirrel a time later a lot of fun with him until he flew the coop.

Hi Lydia and JIm, it's great to see you again. Lydia, you and Ladley were simply beautiful in the opening with your matching swim wear. Each with your beatutiful long hair and gorgeous smile, you are ready for a mother daughter beauty contest. Ladly Rue is growing so quickly and such a sweet heart. Lydia, I have always noticed that God has blessed you with a lean and muscular fit anatomy. I know you are keeping up with a toddler under foot, but never mention exercise or working out, so you have definitely been blessed. I love the "container hootis" and look forward to more on it; you had beautiful weather to start on it. Jim had me laughing out lound when he said the folks in the helicopter were planning on swooping in and stealing the patten on the "ginormous hootis" that you are building 😊. I'm glad you are turning your attention to the container workshop build; I have been looking forward to it very much. I loved the squirrels and the back story about the flying squirrels. They are so darned cute! You had a nice fish catch that must have turned into a nice fish fry for you guys. Great alligator sound effects Jim. G'day, loved seeing that rain, we havent had much, it rained two nights ago a little bit, first rain for 3 months, love the modelling should be more of it, cant wait to see the Sea Container Hootus in action, going to be a sight for sore eyes, Im guessing, lol, getting them onto the concrete will be interesting, we used what is called Skates in Workshops with concrete floors, for moving large loads around, have fun y'all.

I've done axle width adjusting and the only thing I do differently is run a scribe mark the length of the axle so when reassembly time comes around the spring perches align properly with the line straight.

@@CajunCountryLivin we sure do careful what you say we're liable to get in the car and have a good road trip. Then you would have a couple of freeloaders eating some good Cajun food for free. Maybe you could put us to work we would still end up with the better deal.
