Ortigas, along topaz road, next to a pancake house. It's at the back of The Malayan Plaza. 2 floors, AC dining area on the 2nd floor. Although last photo of Google Maps was from 2021 pa, so I'm not sure it survived the Uncle John's transformation.
Yeah right? There’s suddenly a lot more Lawson stores popping up this year. I'm not complaining tho😋7-Eleven has been pretty much unmatched in terms of the number of stores here in the Philippines, so they haven’t really had to push for better food options. Other brands are sprouting everywhere too! With more competition in the convenience store game, they’ll need to step up to stay ahead. I hope in 10 years the convenience store food here in the Philippines will be much better. Local fast food chains will also need to step up by that time in terms of variety, price, and convenience.
I MUST SAY, LAWSON IS FAR MORE BETTER THAN OTHER CONVENIENCE STORES (7/11, UNCLE JOHN'S, MINISTOP) GURL!?!? THEIR CHICKEN!?!?! TOP TIER. MATCHA LATTE!! THEIR COFFEES AS WELL! THEIR KOREAN ODENG ARE TOP TIER AS WELL, SABAW PA LANG AS IN! HINDI MAALAT, HINDI MATABANG, SAKTO LANG WHICH COMPLIMENTS THE FOOD I CAN'T HELP BUT TO COMPARE. IMAGINE WITH 79 OR 89 YOU ALREADY HAVE A HUGE CHICKEN WHICH IS ALSO CRISPY! 2 PC. RICE (DEFAULT), AND A GRAVY! WITH WOODEN SPOON AND FORK NA SYA HA! VERY AFFORDABLE! MUST TRY TOO: CHICKEN STEAK CHICKEN TONKATSU MICROWAVABLE FOODS: - PASTAS - MEAL SETS - BUSOLB MEALS - BURRITO MANY MORE!
Went back to the PH after the pandemic and I stayed in a hotel that's beside a Lawsons. I could eat their friend chicken for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's sooo good. Especially with the hot&spicy mang tomas sauce!

Oohh, this makes me miss Lawson now, as I haven't seen any since moving to Angeles/Clark. Lawson McKinley West was my go-to place for fried chicken, excellent gravy & unli rice around 2017-18-ish. Guru guru (yes, it's served really hot like that) & their fried siomai were also great back then, along with their self-service sundae with different flavors every month (or was it every quarter?) 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Hi Jessica! I hope you can collab with Hello Philippines. They are a Korean Family of 4 living in the Philippines for 3 years now. They used to live in Dumaguete but is now in Luzon. They love travelling and eating. They are still trying to know more about living here in the Philippines. Mommy Won and Daddy Won is often anxious on how to communicate with the locals since they are still challenged to speak English so talking to someone who has been here for a while now will be helpful for them. I hope you can consider. Edit: I wanted to gatekeep them but they deserve subscribers and recognition. 😅
Hi Ate Jess, since allergic ka sa peanut. please bring cetirizine or diphenhydramine medicine. its over the counter medicine so you can buy it without prescription. if you think that you ate a peanut containing food, you can take it as a first aid med for allergic reaction. fun review as always. ❤
I'm not sure when they started selling those packed meals, because the Lawson near where I worked in Ayala before (near Insular Life) did not have them, they were mostly hotdogs and curry pan bread. Those packed meals would've been a godsend for late night BPO employees because the jollijeeps were closed by then. Though I'm not sure if that particular Lawson was 24/7.

Sakto haha, i was gonna say i like Lawson's asado siopao better than 7-11's! Agreed that their guru guru is good. Gusto ko rin ung lumpiang togue nila kasi sweet tasting ung dipping sauce nya. Ung siomai din lagi ko inoorder, minsan binabawasan ko chili if it becomes too spicy for my taste. Hmm, tsaka nung 2019 ata may unli rice sila? Dun lagi kumakain officemates ko, they would always get the chicken w unli rice, sulit daw
I don't think most Filipinos understand what samgyupsal is. Most of the Filipinos, when they say "Samgyup", they will think it is a restaurant with a grill on the table. They will say "Tara, Samgyup!" and they won't even eat a single samgyupsal because they don't know that it is a pork belly. Some samgyupsal resto doesn't even provide actual samgyupsal 😆
I didn't know there's a Lawson here? I always knew that it's a Japanese-only konbini. Still am not used to seeing lots of Filipino food and products in a Lawson store. I always buy cold soba, curry rice, mixed veggie seafood and Calpis water in Lawson. Anyways, glad you covered this one too. Take care! 💕
yessss they're slowly rolling it out here in manila! buti na nga lang meron here near taft so i get to try lawson konbini stuff! legit na yummy sila compared sa ibang convenience stores HAHAH
Looks like Lawson is sourcing their pastries at Kumori. It's a japanese bakery with good cakes and pastries. Thanks for this vid, Jessica! Definitely drooling to eat at Lawson now haha. :P
I'm late again. I just got home only now. but I'm happy you have a new vlog, Jessica. I hope it continues cuz you are making a lot of people happy.🥰❤❤❤
ive always wondered like where is the leftover foods from her vlog goes after the video ? pls dont tell me it goes straight to the garbage can cause its so sad if it is
In the 7-11 review vid, the team members were eating behind the camera. But I doubt mauubos nila lahat. Then again, madami talagang unsold food sa convenience store na dinidiscard, so at least nakadagdag sa sales yung review nila.
I love this. My husband is Chinese and Korean and I’m Singaporean/Chinese and Filipino. You’re inspiring! I will show this to my boys since they’re mixed Asian
Yes, it’s been really a feast of Jessica’s UA-cam vids! Good job Jessica! I wonder if you wear not so tight pants when you do food review. Kasi nakakabusog tlga to be tasting that much 😂 thanks for the hard work of tasting and reviewing 🤩
12:13 I think "lanta" is not the appropriate term for a vegetable that is no longer fresh. I think "magulang" is the right term to describe it. Lanta is used to describe a plant or vegetable that is already dried/dead.
Way the go Jessica, i always remember when you started at Mang inasal, way back when you were a little girl. Thanks for sharing with us again, you trying lots of Filipino foods. God bless
Currently in Lawson. Unfortunately, the Beef and Mushroom is not available here. I have to agree with your drink selection. The Sea Salt Latte tasted as if it’s pricier 👌🏼
As an office girlie, lawson is now my go-to convenience store huhu. So many variations of foods and it taste good din. Price wasn't so high pa. Love this content! 💙
i like how detailed and honest her reviews are, even though she's inside the store and kausap pa nya ang lawson na representative ng food nila (the one explaining the food). for lawsons side its like taking criticisms from a typical foodie
I really miss Lawson-it used to be my lifesaver when I was working in Ortigas way back 2019! Sayang lang kasi hindi na sila unli rice and unli gravy and you can get unli garlic rice pa if you add another 10 pesos on top of your meal!! :(
i miss lawson!! definitely will try these that were recommended. honestly, i just went to lawson for a bottle of water when i was thirsty bc i thought lawson was expensive. never thought there would be 40 pesos meals!
I never really had interest in going to lawson's. You've convinced me to try it, Jessica. Lol When you do go to Uncle John's you got to try 3 things their OG fried chicken, Spicy chicken fillet sandwich, and Great taste Coffee chillz. Those are my absolute go to 😊

Ortigas

I think need to get out of your house more. There are plenty of Lawson stores especially in Metro Manila.
2015 pa meron Lawsons sa Metro Manila. In the beginning Puregold ang partner nila. Now Ayala na partner at mas nag-expand to more locations.

Japan Lawson is the best. Originally, Lawson was from Ohio, U.S.A. but Japanese bought it.
