Drews Stakkin I feel like its going to be Dan really explaining how things work and why. He is really good at making things seem as simple as they are for those who get really overwhelmed at the thought of learning about cars.
I'd really like to see some sort of ride along/highway pulls/ canyon carving/ track footage /cockpit cam / head cam (either sourced from owner or by hooningan) to really get a feel for these cars. since they wont always want to shred the tires or cant like this GT2. at the very end, like "bonus clips" featurette at the back end after build biology ends.
Hey Dan could you carry a flashlight with you on these build biologies? There's a few spots through the video where it's to dark to see like when you're looking at suspension parts. Really loving the build biology! Yall keep up the awesome work! Hoonigan!
Absolutely, they should do more German cars! I have never seen a Mercedes on this channel, although their AMG engines are some the best sounding V8s there are. Show us some German muscle!
There's been several Porsche's featured on the channel. Another one from BBI with a sequential which they actually showed footage of. The rwb Porsche that one of the guys owns there. And another crazy old school Porsche built by a guy that's famous for making unusual cars fast. I also believe they did a featurette on one of the Singer Porsches, they are famous for being essentially the Chip Foose of Porsches.
My father used to own a dark blue 996 Turbo, such a terrific engine response and that manual transmission... Good god, I can't describe how much I love 996 turbocharged porsches. Dream car, well done
Another awesome build bio, I really love being able to see everything that is done to these cars from all angles. There's really no other show like this anywhere else. Thanks scumbags! It's so much appreciated!
That's it.... need me a 911 996, a winning lotto ticket and a local shop who know their stuff... Normally 996's kind of put me off, headlights plus I dont even want to think about one because of the IMS bearing but this thing just made me rethink my opinion on the 996... In its final form it is a beauty on the outside, absolute beast on the inside. Love the suspension work as well. Watching this kicked me back to when I was 10 years old and a 996 was all I could think of.
lol Scotto's needs to be faster we no that this thing is making and its weight so Scotto's needs some more power i think but two super 911's can't be wrong
overhyped, overpriced, not terribly reliable, expensive to fix and maintain...not accessible to most middle class people. don't get me wrong i'm sure the driving experience is incredible and almost unmatched, but you have to be realistic when shit starts to get insane expensive.
Varg Sutton 911s are bullet proof aside from the few years with the IMS issue. Plenty of people ABUSE these cars on the track on weekends and daily them the rest of the week. They are very well engineered to handle the stresses of track driving. Car and driver launched a turbo s something like 50 times in a row without it overheating. Used they are pretty affordable for a 996. Maintenance on the 911 really isn't bad at all. Only really needed to put brakes on and change the oil for the ones that came into shops I've worked at. You obviously have no personal experience with these cars.
Porsches are by far the easiest cars to work on.996, 997, 986, 987, only have three mounts in total for the engine and transaxel combined. I have pulled and replaced the entire driveline in my 986 S, in my driveway, with no more than a couple of floor jacks and jack stands, by myself, in an afternoon (on at least three occasions). Injectors from the top engine cover, plugs top or undernieth. Alternator replacement from the cabin hatch in about 15 mins.
Absolutely superb, I’ve just found your channel and watched this episode, and have subscribed and looking forward to watching more builds. Awesome guys! 👍
Generally hated the 996's. Only model ever that I wasn't in love with, but they really did Porsche justice here. Perfect execution, absolutely beautiful.
wow this thing had only a little bit less then my 15 f250 when I got it it was making 712TQ TO THE WHEEL! it is a stump puller sweeeeeeeeeet turbo GT2 the rear end has had so much work its unbelievable and I like exposed horizontal shocks I have seen them on the front of cars and the back but it is just so clean when u pop the boot and there are two turbo's starring at u its a 10!
never been a porche fan but dang that thing super sexy.. since ive been watching build bio and the porche that rolled in ive been thinking of getting one. awesome job on your show Danger Dan!!
Earlier this year, I rode inside this car or a car identical to this (Silver 996 GT2 with 800hp and Pushrod rear suspension). It's insanely quick, felt like my eyeballs were pressed into the back of my head! This is right after taking a ride in a 993 Ruf CT2R the day before and driving a Tesla Model X a week earlier. This car is truly a beauty and the owner and builders have done a magnificent job on it. The rear suspension is a masterpiece. It's definitely more for show than actual performance. From a pure performance perspective, it sits too high up and defeats one of the main purposes of a cantilever suspension (the part about lowering center of gravity). But the owner wanted it that way so who cares? It's still a show stopper and an insanely fast car.
I love the level complexity of the build shown her so thanks for showcasing BBI's work. Q: What's up with the uneven rear tire wear (significantly more on the outside than the inside)? Was the negative camber setup for looks or stability?
I remember when I worked for Porsche back in 1990 and the new 911 turbo came out 1 of the mechanics was doing a plug change and explained to me how you had to drop the engine to do it,mind you he made it look very simple ,4 bolts and a few umbilical cords is all he says 5 mins,it's just easier .
I love build biology and it might be one of my favorite segments but... the lack of action kills it, maybe even a small ride along after would be the icing on the cake (maybe the ride to lunch * wink * wink *) wait am I writing for your show? lol eh w.e. it's not like I got 800whp Porsches at my disposal...the thing was a work of art! and thanks for the video!
Hyped for Knuckle Busters
Us too.

That would be nice, I at least want to hear a few solid revs and a pull
Yes, this please. PLEASE.
I agree
Sounds like something for the bonus channel
I'll be searching UA-cam
Hey Dan could you carry a flashlight with you on these build biologies? There's a few spots through the video where it's to dark to see like when you're looking at suspension parts. Really loving the build biology! Yall keep up the awesome work! Hoonigan!
What a crazy suspension job. Love it. Beautiful Porsche. Amazing Build Bio, Dan.
Colin Hawley jear but why did the show it so little?
Chris Kue Ask Hoonigan, cause I have no idea. Lol
Time?
One of the cleanest car's at this shop!
Love build biology. Great idea hoonigans , getting/stealing so many ideas for my projects
I like that Porsche is making an appearance on the channel
Absolutely, they should do more German cars! I have never seen a Mercedes on this channel, although their AMG engines are some the best sounding V8s there are. Show us some German muscle!
Anti Lope well, German cars other than what scotto owns
There's been several Porsche's featured on the channel. Another one from BBI with a sequential which they actually showed footage of. The rwb Porsche that one of the guys owns there. Anti Lope The last time hoonigan filmed an amg, it caught on fire
Knight Operator scotto owns the RWB hoonigan, Bishi moto brought over that twin turbo BMW powered 911
My father used to own a dark blue 996 Turbo, such a terrific engine response and that manual transmission... Good god, I can't describe how much I love 996 turbocharged porsches. Dream car, well done
I wish they would give these cars a quick test drive
guess that garage queen rarely drives at all...
@@thomasbummer4361 definetly not a garage queen its bbi they drive them
This show is about the build not about the drive though. Im sure theres videos of this thing driving.
This Porsche is crazy. Good stuff and also one of the coolest Porsche's I've ever seen.
This is for sure the most beautiful 996 I've ever seen! Congratulations, great job!
That rear suspension reminds me of a 4 link in mini trucks. I've seen some wicked flexing pieces
it reminds me of the Enzo Ferrari rear suspension as well where you can see the springs mounted horizontally in the back
“Can we open it up?” - Dan 2018...
You should contact Ryan tuerck to review his FRS Build! Who agrees?
Another awesome build bio, I really love being able to see everything that is done to these cars from all angles. There's really no other show like this anywhere else. Thanks scumbags! It's so much appreciated!

Hyped for Knuckle Busters! Manual labor is good for the mind, body and soul!
Hert doesn't agree
Adjust headlights
Step 1: Remove engine
Loving Build Biology, my favorite segment of the week!
Man this has to be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I can't even imagine what the masterpiece of engineering is worth.
One of my favorite build biology's
Space race this Porsche v.s $cottos 911! [HOONIGAN]
Saul rivera What happened to Gary I'm waiting?
TwoTimes 209 was just going to ask the same question lol
lol Scotto's needs to be faster we no that this thing is making and its weight so Scotto's needs some more power i think but two super 911's can't be wrong
This will destroy Scott is poor car, AWD
Bisimoto
I’m in love with Build Biology!!!
He's got some gold johnnies
Jessie Davis idk man that s2000 and supra are pretty clean
Probably the nicest Johnnies to appear at Hoonigan. Those probably run $20k for a set...
Peter Jaffray r u sure tho...more like £2k a set...
Just one of the 19x12's in the rear is at least $2k...plus tires and 996 RSR center lock hubs, I bet it's up there.
that thing must hook like HELL the center off gravity looks super low and the suspension is a work of art
Dan talking about cars is how I think I sound to my friends. Gary King Junior talking about “trunk mount wings” is how I sound in reality.
Dan has brought so much passion, sincerity, and class to Hoonigan. Still love all you other JABRONIS, though. Keep up the good work y'all.
I’m good friends with Betim. He does amazing work and I’m glad to see him doing well. Another amazing car
IDK why I laughed when he said Brembo pulled out all the stops. #DadJoke
The Gentleman DJ i was waiting for something like "they didnt cut any corners" when they were talking about steering
The few series that are my favorite are 1) Build Biology, 2) Build Breakdown, 3) Garage Garage, and 4) Carcaine Rehab
It just blows my mind how clean Porsche builds have gotten. Basically rolling art anymore.
Mysteriously, I don’t see anyone bashing the “fried egg”Porsche. The internet must be maturing.
Welcome To The Madness hard to bash a car 106 times nicer than anything any of us own unfortunately
A s15 would be nice
Because its a gt2
Maturing? Now take that back. I'm telling mom....
Yup Mohammeds right, GT2 earns mad respect!
@TheHoonigans Knuckle buster 12PM ???? Did I see that right? PM
Yes, the re-start of our noon programming...
sweet
oh nice!
It's 3:26am where I live lol
I like McFlys watch!
Not a huge fan of Porsche cars but this one is just stupid clean. Like wow..... wow
Dodgers 48 how you not like porsches? Easily the best engineered cars you can currently. At least the 911 is.
sjpro1
Haha nah man I am not a HUGE fan of Porsche cars. They're great cars but I'm not in love with them. Ya know? 😃👍🏼
overhyped, overpriced, not terribly reliable, expensive to fix and maintain...not accessible to most middle class people. don't get me wrong i'm sure the driving experience is incredible and almost unmatched, but you have to be realistic when shit starts to get insane expensive.

@@VS666 sounds like a lambo or a ferrari.
So refined. This is the best job anyone could do. Set the bar imo.
22:24 "How many cars do you think you've been involved with?" "Oh.." LMAO! That moment of despair.
amazeballs.. bring BBI in everyday! need MO PORSCHE
Those guys never disappointed when they're on!!!
Fav series on the tub!!!!!!

The fanboi in me just can't hold it together. Dats rad.

I normally don't care for Porsche, but I gotta say this one is nice af.
Generally hated the 996's. Only model ever that I wasn't in love with, but they really did Porsche justice here. Perfect execution, absolutely beautiful.
Great looking car, the Coco mats are a great addition!
Awesome car and awesome guy. BBI stepping it up!
What a beautiful build is this car! And those wheels are the cherry on the top of the Cake 🍰
Cue the Gary rage over the trunk mounted wing XD
Such an awesome build, and DangerDan in the best. Rep St. Louis!!!!!!
wow this thing had only a little bit less then my 15 f250 when I got it it was making 712TQ TO THE WHEEL! it is a stump puller sweeeeeeeeeet turbo GT2 the rear end has had so much work its unbelievable and I like exposed horizontal shocks I have seen them on the front of cars and the back but it is just so clean when u pop the boot and there are two turbo's starring at u its a 10!

That's one really nice Beetle
The widowmaker 🖤 what an awesome build
10:31 man talk at its best (i loved the little tap he did while saying nut)
Can’t wait for dans new show. Love this too Great work hoonigan

Yes. Please bring the Ultima. I've wanted to build one for 15 years! I wanna see how insane the BBI one is.
INCREDIBLE!!
Super clean Porsche.
I got so carried away by the technical details shared in this video that I almost forgot to click on the thumbs up button :D
Amazing car.. Greetings from Albania Betim Berisha!! Nepi Shqipe
Sounds amazing. 😮
One of my all time favorite 996 chassis.. Hoonigan gettin fancy overnight
Man what a thorough build. I can only imagine the time and money which went into such a work of art.
Wow amazing car I’m speechless !!!!!
the talk about the spark plug change cracked me up. wow that's a lot of work.
Love your videos Dan, by far my favourite hoonigan, keep up the good work man
I really love this series!
I think that part of this segment should be you guys taking the cars for a cruise.
Possibly in season two...
looks like a garage queen... no cruise here lol
Yea like actually go out for lunch
Somewhere different every time
Sounds so civilized at idle... then like it's going to eat someone as soon as you get on the throttle. Very well done!
You guys never disappoint 👌🏻
I love the level complexity of the build shown her so thanks for showcasing BBI's work. Q: What's up with the uneven rear tire wear (significantly more on the outside than the inside)? Was the negative camber setup for looks or stability?
Now thats a build - Great job bbi (as usual!)
yo thanks for driving it and showing us what it look like moving!

I really like that suspension setup
It means you can go wider without having fenders which is tucking 😍
TAKE IT OUT FOR A DRIVE!!! Jay Leno would have : P
Work Of Art!
Super Clean
That is one of the best sounding turbos I have ever heard.......
Beautiful 😩👌
Such a clean looking 996
One tip for filming through glass-- use a ND-Filter ^-^ works like magic
Great build, so stealthy
Much love Hoonigans
That is one hell of a build! Wow!
Disclaimer: Besides the headlights, them things are still hideous!
love that rev!!! keep it in the build breakdown
Very nice build Respect😉
Love to see a 996 getting attention. People are quick to discredit the eggs eye headlights but i think they look sick
This is amazing!
This Porsche is gorgeous. But on a side note: dude’s rocking a calculator watch lol. I love it! Throwback yeah?
That down spool tho 😍
I need one of this in my life!!!
Jay Leno is on the phone, right now. "Do we have this car on the schedule?"
Casually throws in “we’re building an RWB” lmao
Ach du liebe! What a car! Thanks lads for giving us P-car fans some love! Nothing like wacky German engineering!
This car is so sick, definitely one of my dream cars!!
