    Used to make this Italian immigrant style with my dad's side of the family (grandparents came from Bari area as children). My dad told us his grandmother told him in focaccia meant ugly or wrinkley face because of the appearance of bubbly dough before baking.

    • @jennaburns8465
      @jennaburns8465 6 місяців тому

      Well yes of course. Anything from an actual country of origin is 1000 times better than the cheap mockeries that Americans serve. Focaccia is traditional Italian "pizza" and what you'd find in REAL Italian resturants in the country - not the poor mans' cheap ass thing unfit for feeding a stray dog on the streets of Rome called pizza in North America.

      Some of the Italians that live in the states would take exception to that. Go to Chicago and the area around it and you will find many excellent Italian restaurants that take pride in their food. Pizza is pizza and we love it here. I had the pleasure eating food in Italy once and it was beautiful. just a small cafe one afternoon just past the French border. Yeah, that was really good food and we have some very good food here as well. ✌

      I have the answer. In a home oven the max temp you got (mine goes yuo to 550). Better yet if you already have a pizza stone use that in conjunction with the pan; just preheat the stone for an hour prior to placing the pan on the stone. In either case place the pan in the oven and wait 20 to 25 minutes. If you have a instant read thermometer, the center of the foccacia should reach 200 degrees. I hope this helps you. And if so please check back here. I would like to know of your results.

    Cool to see Guga more confident when handling the dough. He remembered the technique used to cut it with the spatula too!

    HEY GUGA. I'M SO EXCITED TO TELL YOU THAT I FOUND OUT THAT THE MOST EXPENSIVE BEEF IN THE WORLD IS NOT WAGYU.
    "POLMARD'S COTE DE BEOUF" WHICH BASICALLY MEANS "POLMARD'S RIBEYE" IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN WAGYU. IT'S A FRENCH BEEF AND HAS ALMOST NO MARBLINGS. HOWEVER IT'S AGED WITH THIS SPECIAL FRENCH TECHNIQUE. I COULDN'T FIND ANY VIDEOS ON UA-cam ABOUT THIS BEEF. I CHALLENGE YOU TO GO TO PARIS AND GET THAT BEEF MAN. IF YOU COULD COMPARE IT WITH WAGYU, IT WOULD BE AMAZING. I DON'T EVEN HAVE AN IDEA HOW THIS MEAT TASTES. YOU ARE THE WAGYU PIONEER OF UA-cam BUT NOW EVERYBODY DOES WAGYU. I THINK THAT VIDEO WOULD MAKE YOU THE MEAT GOAT OF UA-cam MAN. LET'S DO IT?
