My all-time favorite film and one of my top ten of all time. I know so many people who refuse to believe me that this is a great movie. The Last Unicorn will always hold a really special spot in my heart!
I first saw it on a laser disk. Lol. Watched it about a 100 times as a kid and then laser disk technology was abandonned for the VHS... then I spent 20 years looking for a VHS copy. It was pre-easy buying on internet days so I had to actually go shopping and look. Anyway, eventually found it. Gotta admit, first time I heard the music again I teared up.
i remember crying after watching "The Last Unicorn" when i was a kid. i love this song totally much, reminded me of my childhood in the 80s. from there on, i started to listen to America.

Me and my sister did, too. Eventually, it got lost somehow. And I still distinctly remember the two of us searching everywhere for it. We were probably like 7-9. I never forgot the movie, though. And years later, in my sophomore year of highschool, I went to my friend's house to spend the night and found out she had it on DVD! We watched it that same night. Now, of course, you can watch it online easily. But back then, it was super obscure.
This beautiful song just came to my attention and now I am so in love with this. AMERICA, you deserve a standing ovation for this wonderful performance! BRAVO!
I have always loved the band America, I used to play their songs in the morning as I got ready for school it was only recently did I realize they did the music and songs for the Last Unicorn, one of Rankin Bass's greatest animated features and one of my favourite old time movies. the music really made the piece so much better especially this amazing intro song, really sets up a world of magic and unicorns in my mind, I watch this movie a lot, makes me feel like I've come home again after a trip.
I grew up watching this move in the early and late 2000s and just rewatched it after over 10 years and I guess 6 year old me and 18 year old me still like the same things after all

I'm only twelve, I watched this movie, and it was amazing. The animation for the movie is kinda weird, it's not absolutely trash, but it's pretty good, and this music makes it so much better! I can now learn to appreciate music that's not from my time period. This is a good song. :) :3

I was 11 when this movie came out. I just watched it 2022 and I'm much older now. Will forever be one of my favorites!
