Basically, turbo granny are considered harmless. There are various theories about the Turbo granny, but it is said that she chases after you at speeds of 100 to 140 km/h.
One shows up in Mob Psycho, but it turned out to be an entirely normal old lady with nike's on rather than the spirits mob usually defeats. Its also the only thing to actually terrify him.
Basically, the turbo granny is said to be relatively harmless, just running alongside cars, but this urban legend has many variations. There are various stories such as one in which she surprises the driver and causes an accident, and one in which she chases the car forever. Variants of this urban legend include the basketball granny and the pogo stick granny.

If you liked Dead Dead Demons, and are cool with reading manga, Inio Asano's other works are checking out, though some of them are way more brutal and tragic. Oyasumi Punpun is one of those series widely considered a masterpiece.
