The Wired Freedom was delivered mid July. I purchased it not for speed, but for the power, durability, and batteries. I ride with friends in old logging roads, cattle trails, and unkept gravel roads. These routes are rough, mean, and downright challenging. The tires have withstood sharp and unpredictable surfaces. Some of our adventures are on steep and nasty inclines for miles. This bike has shone the strength and capabilities of what a fat tire e-bike can handle! The brakes are fantastic for the declines of up to seven miles of twisty turns. My friends have brand X e-bikes and now wish they spent the price for a Wired. Going 35 mph is fun but doesn’t compare to the country we have explored and the terrain we have crossed. I would recommend this e-bike.
Hey Matt-Thanks for going in depth on the controller and battery balancer wiring harnesses! I have this exact same bike. I am happy to see Wired upsized the wire gauge to 10AWG along with the XT 90S. This helps elevate my concerns over how well this controller can handle this kind of high power output in the long term. This coupled with the fact the controller is potted for heat dissipation gives me a lot more confidence when I’m hard on the throttle.
Love my 2024 Freedom. I've adjusted the power levels to slow it down making trail riding much better. I live on top of a hill with steep approaches in every direction... it pulls every hill with ease. It's totally adjustable making it perfect for anyone.
Good thorough review. Will be upgrading to these tires on my bike soon. I really like the aggressive look and want the smoother and more comfortable ride. Nice bike as well. I like the color. Wired really ensures that people know the manufacturer with the branding. Its everywhere. 😊
That's funny I thought I was the only one trying to slap a ton of separate battery packs on my bike. The Lectric in my avatar picture used to have 5 battery packs on it. My bike only tops out at around 28mph but I still put some dual sport tires on it. It's also a dual hub motor bike.
No extra too needed just use the quick release mechanism as you have described. Not sure what happened to have to use a hex wrench to out it on or take off?
I have the simplest, least expensive and most durable way to light the back of Wired's battery. It includes the brake light feature but will not require extra wiring nor connectors. This video provids Wired with good info on improvements, hope they're listening. If so you'll like my light idea, local to Mundelien and will offer the invention for merchandise. Interested? comment below.
@@ElectricAllWheel So the Xpeak or the XPress, I don't do off-road just our green belt here in Texas and go 40 miles a day. I kind of don't like fat tires if I can change the tires on the Xpeak to a 3" maybe, I do like the tires on the Xpress, and I like all the up grades you did on the XPeak and they are giving a free battery if you buy the XPeak.
hello friend, tell me all the bikes you present and modify, what was the best bike you ever had for long distance rides. Please update your links to your UA-cam channel, because they just don't work anymore, nothing is found Page not found Page not found in Germany
Kind of nit picking don’t you think, so the front light is one of the brightest that’s connected to your bike offered no need to get non wired connected aftermarket. The back light that wired and uses battery also is there for if don’t use with or without rear battery you still have brake lights, the extra light is just an added light. My front battery lever doesn’t rattle when battery is inserted, yes you made a noise with the switch but try moving switch same way when battery is in for your video, nit picking on the front battery on/off switch funny, who needs a on off switch on battery I would never used that, 14awg is for Heat resistance in the controller box. Why would a person want to use an after market charge box not issued by manufacturer, this is where fires start by using aftermarket electric modifications and when fires occur they blame the bike, when manufacturers get there bikes UL certified it’s not with aftermarket modifications, 2 gears what! Funny. Please sell the bike before wired gets blamed for non UL certified modifications. Go buy an Ecells go nit pick them, oh buy the way Wired has the best customer service ever than any other bike manufacturer, go try ecells customer service if they replace any parts you will get it in 6 months. Ecells is terrible customer service , Aventon doesn’t return emails or calls. Sell it sell it, oh and that Aerial rider is not a bike , it’s a mini moped.no one buys those.
Hey Dave, While full of animation and impassioned rhetoric, take a step back my friend. What is a thing for you may not be for others. We are well aware of the ramifications of UL certification and the products upon the market that may or may not warrant your impassioned response. Despite your beliefs, many do want a switch and it’s quite confusing for you to advocate for no switch when the front battery has one. Pick a lane. We have dealt with both companies (Wired and e-Cells) from a customer service standpoint and would contest many of your assertions. As a matter of fact, we do have a five-star. And no, just because you said to, we won’t be taking your suggestions. Thanks for watching!

This is my exact use case, have you been happy with the performance? I'm waiting for delivery of my new bike now. Anything to watch out for?
@@nyersa1The Wired Freedom has withstood all the terrain that I have traveled. Watch out for grizzly bears, rattle snakes, and mountain lions!
This is great. I'd love to see more "closer look" videos that examine the quality of bikes. Ecells, Furious or whatever
Glad to see you back online, Matt!

It's not the wiring or the controller that's the issue. It's the motor that'll overheat with ease.
Amazing video and cruiser review! Thanks
I've been looking at that bike it will be my first e bike. Thanks for.the tire tip and the good bad and ugly review.

Getting pizza and beer is a great use for an ebike.
Super awesome video very helpful. Thanks for the hard work
Show us how to add a dual motor using the existing batteries

Excellent information thank you
Nice bike, high step through, not easy to mount with shock mount in the way.
My front axle comes out with just that quick release. No hex bolt required
No extra too needed just use the quick release mechanism as you have described. Not sure what happened to have to use a hex wrench to out it on or take off?
All right you definitely earned a subscription. I'm anxious to see how you do a third battery.
Is the motor the same motor that's in the 2024 V1?
Does the controller enclosed in the bike body stay cool enough or does it get hotter enclosed.

your tires vs the ultraverse would you know?
I’m coming from an Onyx CTY2 which has a directed drive motor, and I’m really curious as to how comparable this or the freedom is to my CTY2.
Great video, let me ask you what do you think about the Lelectric XPeak Step-Thru eBike, so I buy it?
We will be receiving one from Lectric to review in the coming weeks.
We really like the brand and with their service you can’t go wrong

How will u put a 3rd battery on? Were will u put it loll how big n will it be another wired battery or a diffrent one
Can you recommend a good fork upgrade for the 2024+ freedom?
We haven’t explored that upgrade yet, but our first inclination would be a Fox fork.
Let us know if you pursue it!
I just want USB power on the handlebars of my Wired Cruiser. Can I get a tee to fit into one of the power wires up front?
@@jfly2249 Yes, it's there, thank you.
Can you tell me if your 20Ah battery push button indicator for the first LED light (25%) is always red no matter the batteries state of charge?
On the main battery yes. The red is just the indicator for low charge
