Weather looked a lot better than the first day on the Cumbria Way, although there was still a lot of surface water about. Shame about the lost audio and been there too with an dodgy GoPro Media Mod but at least the footage was safe. I love that part of the lakes, its amazing high up but on the flat around Tarn Hows is just as amazing as well. Late check in at the YMCA but sitting in the sunshine, what a different to the previous day, cheers Alan
What a gorgeous stretch of the Cumbria Way! The journey from Coniston to Elterwater looks like a peaceful and scenic hike. Looking forward to see more of this trail! 🥾✨
Morning Carrie. That second section between Coniston and Great Langdale was my second favourite day, although if I'd have done it in Autumn then it might have been my favourite, wow, those autumnal colours looked amazing. 🙂🍃🍁🍂🥬
Yeah, I love youth hostels, it's a shame so many have closed down. I've noticed a massive increase in young people hiking and backpacking in the past couple of years ( at one point, not so long ago, it was only us old codgers out hiking!), maybe this will, in turn, create new facilities for all of us, who knows...?
Hi Dave, the Lakes are something else- I'm looking forward to my next walk over there, hoping to start on completing the Wainwrights next year (hopefully the camera works!) Thanks :D
Such an inspiring journey! The trail from Coniston to Elterwater looks absolutely breathtaking, with all the natural beauty and peaceful scenery. Thank you friend for sharing this part of the Cumbria Way with us. Best wishes, Chiara & Donato, Fuoridalsentiero! 🌿🏞🚶♂

It was a lovely section, certainly an improvement on the first! :D
Great looking autumn weather Carrie and well done stringing youth hostels together for a walk. Not as easy at it used to be. 😭

Another great video carrie 😊
Thank you!! 😊
Beautiful scenery. We were in Hawkshead yesterday which we love. Lakeland views are unbeatable, and your photography really do them justice.

@@carriehikes All 214 of them? That's a mega-project! My friend recently completed them, took about seven years I think. I stick to the lowlands.
@@davidhudson1994 It'll be a long-term project but it's something I've always wanted to do :D

Glad you enjoyed it! It is a very beautiful walk :D
What a beautiful day's walking! A familiar and much-loved route, looking a bit more wintery already up there compared to down south where I am.
Hi Catherine, it was definitely a beautiful walk with fabulous views :D
Superb section Carrie - plenty of variety. And how food to be staying in the YHA - a great British legacy. All the best. Mark
Hi Mark, it is a great section and YHA's are also great fun to stay in!
@@carriehikes Hey, good to hear of the section Carrie - for sure YHA's are a national treasure.
Just caught up on these vids Carrie, that first part looked a proper slog! Glad the weather was kinder on day 2, look forward to part 3!
Hi James, yeah the first day was bloody awful. Thanks for watching :D
Nice one Carrie.
Thanks Pete :D
