Hi Carrie, at last some lovely weather. It’s a lovely section is day three. It was my mates favourite day. My personal favourite was day 4. Hope you had a lovely chilled out stay in Keswick. We poshed it up in a B&B that night. It’s a shame you had to call it time. We did it, the first week in May. It was perfect. 😀👍🥾⛰
Hi, yeah I think I'll stick to spring and summer for the long-distance stuff in future. Always did in the past, just thought I'd try an autumn hike this year but didn't turn out like I wanted. Glad your hike turned out well :D
We've walked that Derwentwater section many times, starting by the duckboards at Manesty and up to Keswick. We usually stop for coffee at the Lingholm café. We have also booked a two night stay in Rosthwaite in January so hoping for some dry paths.
It's an absolute right to enjoy what you're doing Carrie and if your not and have an injury then change plans. I tell you now some people with an injury have done the opposite and lived to regret it long term. Yeah, you'll be back - lovely footage there though. All the best. Mark
Greetings from Melbourne.
Thank you for an enjoyable presentation of the Cumbria Way, despite the wet feet!
Hi, thank you for the nice comment. Yes, wet feet can be a problem in the soggy English countryside! :D

Hi David, yes I've walked around Derwent Water and Keswick a lot, such a beautiful area. Hope the weather is good in January for you both.

Yeah, I'm getting too old to be struggling on when I'm not happy. I think I'll stick to summer for long distance paths in the future!
