@@Stinky_Steven This y700 tablet is quite useless taking into account that the screen touch has long delay, and extended display can only be in landscape.
I feel like you should add one of those USB-C controllers that attach to both sides of the device - to have physical buttons like the Switch or Steam Deck. Then it becomes a game streaming device that can stream your PC or PS5 or cloud gaming service, with a beautiful 9" screen.
The concept of an affordable gaming 8 inch Android tablet is very appealing to me for playing games through emulators. I have an iPad Mini 5 now that I cam play PS1 and under systems on using an 8bitdo Bluetooth controller, but I would love to also play PS2, GameCube, 3DS and higher systems on too. I like retro handhelds like the ones from Anbernic and Retroid, but for me emulating games on a tablet + Bluetooth controller is the best portable emulation experience, especially in terms of having a large easy-to-see screen and full-sized sticks and buttons. This 2023 Lenovo Legion Y700 seems a bit old at this point. I hope Lenovo does a processor refresh soon.
Yeah, all the unboxings I saw don't have a case included. Probably he got the newer one. I heard on some forums that there was a refresh, with the screen being the only difference.
This is the best review I've seen of this tablet, it's much appreciated! I don't understand why they don't atleast offer a SIM tray on the more expensive variant and why remove the headphone jack.. For this reason I am considering the 2022 version or would anyone advise against that? P.S. I was happy to see you playing Hearthstone, it's pretty much the only game I play on android. I'm hoping the 2022 tab is also powerful enough for a smooth experience.
I bought the thing and it absolute rock's Everything is extremely fast But the touch sensitive is a little of a letdown. There is something going on, In games like pubg it fails to be as good as my iPad pro. trying it out with a trigger it simply fails. It like the left part of screen just cooks up compared to iPad pro. But I pay 325 and it outperformed my iPad. Beside the touch issue, I still love it.
I was looking to purchase this tablet specifically for gaming (PUBG mobile) currently playing on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Would you recommend this or the iPad Pro 13 M4? I know there is a huge size difference. I am concerned about the touch or sensitivity issue you described. Thanks for your feedback.
@ryanverville2416 personally I think it's to small Aspect ratio, can't remember but it's like 16:9 and prefer 4:3 like on most tablets It gets a little cramped, playing PUBG, still no extreme graphic settings but performance is good, the screen okay but not the best, it is too hard slick to the touch and you make tones off small mistakes. Mine is a Chinese version with a fake global ROM and no software support no updates. Software sucks, Chinese software as bad as it comes, but again good price for little a Handy something in-between . I would get a OnePlus, for 100 more, they make excellent software. But if you like playing on a mobile platform then the 8.8 inch is a luxury. But the Haptic feedback is going to annoy you, nothing beats Apple.

I like having a thin, big screen that doesn't weigh a lot. Not sure if about 1 inch bigger will justify a purchase since the the majority of phones are within 6 inches.
You got a version with modified China ROM with most probably the bootloader left as unlocked. Don't update, head to XDA and try to get a ROW Global ROM on it and lock the bootloader back.
This device fell off my radar just cause they removed the headphone jack tbh I think if youre going to get a tablet in this class you might as well get the Aya Pocket S when it comes around. Seems like better everything if you dont mind the joy sticks. Idk why large android tablet manufactures keep pumping out the same un-interesting copy paste formula
@@Seyyad93 a tablet that runs windows- a full PC operating system Makes sense to compare an android device to an android device. Even makes sense to compare them to an iPad, since they compete for the same market and share many of the same applications. Doesn't make much sense to compare them to a PC that's going to be running far different applications and games, even if they're being made by the same company. The only meaty thing they really share in common is emulation- otherwise you're talking about a very small amount of shared software Mind you, this is coming from a guy who's looking to replace his GPD win max 2 with either an iPad mini or the y700, so I get where you're coming from, but it still seems silly to directly compare them
I have a pixel 7a and it handles all my games well, but a not too big tablet dedicated to gaming is better. Why? I don't have to stress my phone or it's battery, and worry about having to charge my phone to have juice for phone communications. Plus the extra size and power is a nice luxury to have while still fitting your hands perfectly, better than a smaller phone or 10 inch + tablet. Only thing for me is this device is still foreign to the US market, not coming with google play or updates. So you have to worry about games outdating the lifespan of it. Most devices will give you a nice cushion leading into the next android versions. I'm hoping it comes soon to Lenovo's website so i can snag it out a summer back to school special along with $100 off your first purchase by signing up with them.
Had the 1st one with a SD870: does it still suffer from not having google service? Meaning that no live notification for email or else. Also the OS prevented real multi app, only 1 app was in memory.
I have this Lenovo Legion 7Y00 2023 Ganing Tablet and its performance on Warzone Mobile tops S24U and iPhone 15pm guaranteed!! I have over 100 videos on my UA-cam channel using this tablet with Full overlays on( Real-time fps, temperature,etc..), not many devices can come close to the raw performance of this tablet. I have watched SD Gen 3 devices run at lower fps than this tablet, its a beast and mine came with Charging cable and charger as well. I get updates about every 3 months as well. I bought mine off Giztop with Google play servers pre-installed. I absolutely love it, i will be purchasing the IQOO pad 2 pro when it's released too for a comparison gaming video. ExilEliteYT

Hello that tablet is not a gen1 but a gen1+ is almost the same of gen 2 and due to the very good cooling system it works faster for many gen2.
Gen1+? I thought it was a 8+ Gen1
