According to Oxford English Dictionary history: “The first citation for the adverbial usage is from a 1779 entry in the journal of William McKendry in the Proceedings of the Massachusetts Historical Society: “The Lake … is … about 8 miles acrost.”
I love language and words. My wife has a Ph.D. in Literature. Even if one is butchering language unless I believe an individual would welcome my input I don't share it. Why? Basic social courtesy.
@@pauloh4571 I live in Poland, and I teach or try to help the Polish with English. I agree with you about languages and their little strange intricacies. Some people want more than just to learn the language, some just have a huge passion to know everything they possibly can, even stuff which died with my granma back in the 80s. As for your comment, nobody is being discourteous, in fact I believe the comments were actually interesting, and not a direct insult to anyone's language skills!! Sir I hope you are not a victim of the woke society and you have become all paranoid and insecure about every breath others take, encase someone or something somewhere maybe offend!? Because you have for some reason or another taken the comments about "Acrost" completely wrong

@@eyeninja3043 I did I did!
I haven’t done an unbound yet but appreciate the tips!
gravel beard on point 👍
Can you bring a water filter during the race?
You can, but there should be plenty of aid stations and support for you during the race.
Do you have rental gravel bikes?
We don't currently have a rental fleet, but we are working on getting one!
