I have always been intimidated by paper piecing. My few attempts ended with frustration. Picking up and moving the paper is brilliant and freezer paper makes me feel as though I will be able to succeed! Thank you so much for these videos!

Excellent tutorial. I’m about to start the old Grist Mill pattern. Looking forward to it.

Thanks, I like this piecing approach. Freezer paper gets the prize! Is that feasible with curved piecing?

Love this technique! Will it work for any paper piecing pattern?

Thanks! It really is very forgiving. It only uses straight lines, so I think it would work for any paper piecing pattern. I like to chain piece, so my numbering may be a little different.

Can you press the wax paper on the back side of the fabric? seems it would be easier to see. Not sure just asking

It wouldn't work for this technique. In picture piecing, after sewing you are moving the paper over to butt up against each other on the right side. If you were ironing to wrong side you wouldn't be able to do that. It is better to sew a little scant and then plan to move it over when ironing.

I bought you paper piecing product at the show in pigeon forge this year( the humming bird piece) and it is a challenging piece,,,,the back of the piece gets very bulky.,...I wish I would have bought something less challenging 😟
