Excellent tutorial. I’m about to start the old Grist Mill pattern. Looking forward to it.
Que hermosa tecnica y lo hase muy bien
So simple and so well explained! Thanks you so much! I'm ready to try again!
I have always been intimidated by paper piecing. My few attempts ended with frustration. Picking up and moving the paper is brilliant and freezer paper makes me feel as though I will be able to succeed! Thank you so much for these videos!
Can you press the wax paper on the back side of the fabric? seems it would be easier to see. Not sure just asking
It wouldn't work for this technique. In picture piecing, after sewing you are moving the paper over to butt up against each other on the right side. If you were ironing to wrong side you wouldn't be able to do that. It is better to sew a little scant and then plan to move it over when ironing.
@@drummerbabe8403 Thanks for the answer.
How well does this technique work on Tiny intricate pcs (like eyes etc).
Love this technique! Will it work for any paper piecing pattern?
Thanks! It really is very forgiving. It only uses straight lines, so I think it would work for any paper piecing pattern. I like to chain piece, so my numbering may be a little different.
I saw you on The Quilt Show yesterday and was so impressed. You explain your technique very well. This is an absolute game-changer when it comes to paper piecing! Thank-you!
but I do Love the way it is able to be done....I like this much better than paper piecing 😊
I bought you paper piecing product at the show in pigeon forge this year( the humming bird piece) and it is a challenging piece,,,,the back of the piece gets very bulky.,...I wish I would have bought something less challenging 😟
I ordered some of your patterns a few months ago ...and me too...thank goodness I looked at your videos tonight !! I really thought it was regular paper piecing . ( Haven't done it yet ) . What a nice way to sew little pieces ! I really like your videos ...simple and very well explained ! Thanks again...can't wait to try it !! :-)
Met you last week at the Austin Quilt Show. I purchased one of your patterns. Thank goodness I looked you up on You Tube before attempting the project. I am enlightened! Thank you!
This technigue revolutionizes quiltmaking! It's totally simple! It took a bit for me to grasp the significance of moving the paper + trim=solution! It's amazing!
Thanks, I like this piecing approach. Freezer paper gets the prize! Is that feasible with curved piecing?
Excellent tutorial, thanks
A friend took your class, yesterday, and is so excited! I'm watching this video, and wondering how your tech is better than just plain ol' paper piecing.
Thank you, Cynthia! I am so happy to re-live this amazing experience!
