The flowers on Epiphyllums really are so amazing, thanks so much Alex for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a fantastic weekend XXXX
They’re absolutely amazing, I have got one Epilphulum I found a bit of it on the floor in the garden centre and the lady on the till allowed me to take it home, never knew you could propagate them in water. I thought that might rot the plants, so I actually grew it in soil, but it’s still grew in style, but unfortunately no gorgeous flowers yet. They are absolute stunners when they flower, love to you and Hans from Freddie
Thats fantastic you have an Epiphyllum too, and I bet yours will bloom amazing for you in the near future too, the flowers on them are really incredible, I always used to root them in soil but the water method seems to work really well, thanks so much Freddy for your fantastic comments and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a fantastic evening XXXX
@@TheOrnamentalCabbageMan Happy Sunday Freddy :-D yes its a lovely sunny day here in Belfast but freezing cold and its only -1c at nearly 11am, but the skies are blue and the sun is shining haha, XXXXX 🥰❤🌵

Hi Lyn! Those cuttings did have a massive amount of roots! Do they need to have all that much of roots to be potted up? The pictures of the flowers are really amazing...I have seen lots of those flowers in your previous videos. Thanks for sharing! Have a great afternoon and evening my friends Lyn and Hans! Happy Weekend! Lots of love and happiness to you both!
I was amazed to see the roots on these cuttings, they grew so fast in the water, I left them for a bit too long before potting them up haha, and they can be potted up when the roots are much less, I am so looking forward to seeing all the flowers again on the Mother plants in the Spring, thanks so much Sylvia for your wonderful Friendship and amazing comment and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you and Paul lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to Malta for a fantastic evening XXXX

I always find this quite amazing!! Rooting cactus in water!! And these come out fantastic!! Great job Lyn!!! Thanks for sharing your wonderful method!!! I just got some large cylindropuntia imbricata (cane cholla) cuttings to start !! But of course in soil. From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to across the emerald isle, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌷🌴🌸🌿🌻🍀🌾💐🌱🌳🌹🪴😃👍
Thats fantastic news you have got some Cylindropuntia imbricata cuttings Clyde and I hope you film a video on them haha, the funny thing is I have a couple of cuttings from Hans's Cylindropuntia salmiana that fell of his Mother plants and I put them in water last week as a crazy experiment, and they have both rooted in the water, I will be potting them up this week, thanks so much for your wonderful Friendship and amazing comments and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Deb and all the pets and plants all lots of love and happiness and PEACE, LOVE, PLANTS and PLANT POWER to Morris Park for a brilliant Tuesday XXXX
Nice one Lyn 🙂 So I'm guessing a barky mix would be better for my newly aquired fishybone cactus too? Not had one of these before. Hope you and Hans have a lovely evening 😊😊🌵🌵
Yes I find the Epiphyllums do really well in a barky mix and can even be potted up in Orchid soil, I used to use a more gritty mix but mine definitely seem to grow better now with a bit of bark thrown in, thanks so much Ziggy for your wonderful Friendship and amazing comment and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Jackie lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a super Sunday today XXXX

Hi Marie :-D Epiphyllums are awesome plants to grow but they can struggle in strong sunshine and excess heat, but if you can offer them some summer shade from strong sun and excess heat they can still thrive for you, their blooms are so beautiful on them, thanks so much Marie for your wonderful comment and support and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a terrific Tuesday XXXX
I would guess epiphyllum really do not like spider mites? The epiphytic cacti seem like they would be a favorite of spider mites because they certainly enjoy my opuntia. Working on extricating the devils... but they are really hard to get rid of.
Argh yes Spider mites really are such a pest and I find them a never ending battle, I find using Horticultural Neem oil sprayed on them monthly works at keeping the mites under control, but they always seem to keep coming back if I don't keep on top of the Neem oil treatments, thanks so much for your wonderful comments and support and for watching, and have a fantastic plant powered Sunday XXXX
