- Kenshiro finally learns of Nandai's true attentions and now he must be stopped if Kenshiro wants to keep Yuria alive. But from what he learned if Yuria lives the Nuclear missiles can't be stopped so what will Ken do? Ken's main priority is to pursue Nadai as he now prepares for the final battle.
I love that we have a Hokuto no Ken story where Ken and Yuria get the happy ending that they deserved.

I want to thank Sega and the RGG studios for this game. It got me hooked and sparked my interest to finally watch the anime.
Honestly I think the RGG studios makes the best beat em up games ever, I've been in love with the Yakuza franchise since 1

Wow, I just realized that Yuria and Kaoru share the same voice actress (while I only recognized the voices of Kiryu [Kenshiro], Shin [Nishiki] and Raoh [Ryuji]).
It would be better if they get their models in there, tho...
Damn, that's a massive surprise. This whole time I thought Yuria was voiced by Yumi's voice actor.
Nadai knew how the chamber works. So, when he saw Ken push the red button (the one which makes the defensive shield to raise) BEFORE the nuke strike, he understood that Ken not only wished to at least see Yuria one more time before the end, but wanted to save everyone else from the totally annilation. Nadai's heart was so touched that he rushed into the chamber, pushing Ken and Yuria into the regenerating bed, closing it from outside.
In this way, it's like Nadai only took the nuke (eventually dying from that), so that Ken and Yuria could go on and spread their love to all theliving beings of the world, making it a better place for sure.
And this reminds me the original Hokuto no Ken story, when Toki (Kenshiro's step-brother) closed the security chamber from outside, letting Kenshiro, Yuria and all the children in, because the security system failed and they could'nt close the safety door from inside, so one were to close it only from outside. And Toki decided to do it, suffering from radioactive steams and getting ill from that, to keep Yuria and Kenshiro (and everybody else) save.
It's crazy how far the yakuza series has came. I still remember playing yakuza 1 on the ps2 when it first hit the stores in the U.S. not much people knew about it. Now with the success of yakuza zero, everyone finds out wyat they have been missing. Now we have fist of the North star that's backed by the yakuza team which is crazy!! Imagin if these guys made a berserk game

@@Yabatron Yep and sadly since the Ryu Ga Gotoku studios is known to kill off some sick ass side characters and antagonists like Goda Ryuji from Yakuza 2, and with this game being made under that they won't hesitate.

There should be a next gen sequel that retells the remainder of Part 1 and all of Part 2. The biggest advantage to covering stuff from Part 2 is that the story jumps ahead 10 years and civilization has begun to rebuild, and so the sequel could have a larger map with more than one city. They could also make it so Ken can take up to two allies along with him during free roam and certain story missions. This game is fun, but there's a lot they could still improve on.
Does anyone else here find it strange that Targa's machine immplants are apparently "Hokuto-Proof", even though he stated he'd never heard of the Divine Fist of the North Star in Chapter 3, 3 years after the war?
Maybe he lied/kept it in secret
I assumed that it was more in the sense that machinery has no pressure points for Hokuto Shinken to exploit, on top of being a lot tougher than human flesh (if Targa was rebuilt during a nuclear war, I'm gonna assume it was with some pretty heavy-duty material).
Now, how Targa survived that much of a conventional beatdown from Kenshiro when he's LITERALLY punched a tank to death (albeit in anime filler), I don't know.

On one hand, I like that ken has a happy ending with Yuria, because I've seen the anime and ken does not get a happy ending, so it's good to see a change from that, but on the other hand, that ending is frickin stupid, because Ken and Yuria could've literally gotten in the class container at the end by themselves, but no, because this is technically still a Yakuza game (Yakuza spin off at least) one of the characters had to pull their standard sacrificing quota that's in every single Yakuza game ever. I'm serious, literally every single Yakuza game plus spin off, there is a character who will sacrifice themself. It's an enormous cliche. It's better here, because at least it's at the very end, after the credits, but still, they can't go one game without that stuff.

Something I don't get...what's the point of Eden after the ending? I mean, I thought the reason it was such a nice place is because Sphere City generated power and water...but, surely that stopped after nukes literally were detonated inside Sphere City. So, shouldn't Eden be just as awful as any other place in the wasteland now?
Well if you look at the city well, there are buildings destroyed, I think all the neon lights put them in some way.

Eden never existed as it was just a dream of Yuria's; while they get kind of a happy ending for Xsana and Jagre, it's safe to say that the entirety of the game outside of Yuria's dream takes place right after Raoh is defeated by Kenshiro, when Ken and Yuria leave. The only thing that seems to have been actually been outside of Yuria's dream is Kenshiro defeating Shin and encountering the girl who wished for apples, which is why the game ends with Ken fulfilling his promise to that girl and bringing her back boxes of those apples.

@@XeviousvSBlackmanta I think they wanted to tell an original story that didn't tie them completely to the manga's plot, and the only way to do that is via a dream sequence which allows them to pay homage to the series. But IMO, I hope they do a Souten No Ken game at some point set in the 1930s with Kenshiro Kasumi, as the setting would be interesting and they could probably tell the entire SnK story via the Yakuza format.

Was it necessary for someone to have been on the outside of the pod chamber to seal it like Nadai does in the end?
They probably didn't know that the chamber was durable enough to resist the explosion. Raoh wanted to kill Yuria with a spear and Ken thought he could have done it. Kind of a fragile plot point, honestly.

Friend I love the game, but the plot twist of Jagre and Lyra is stupid, for what the fuck did they want to take revenge against nadai if they said that they did not know who er Kyo oh? also that I think it's ridiculous to believe that Jagre was working with Targa for 3 years when in chapter 2 they wanted to fly ls head. But the final fight is great.

Yep if you're doing Extra hard mode you're gonna want to be fully upgraded especially since enemies will deal a crap ton of damage no matter how powerful your armor is in the game.

How close does this follow the Manga and Anime? Can someone tell me if you know?
I don't know much about the Manga and Anime but I believe this game only partially follows them since the main focus is the additional characters like Xsana. The parts it follows some of the manga/anime is Kenshiro's battles with Shin,Souther and Roah I think.
It follows the manga up to the first boss, which is Shin.
After that it tells its completly own story.
However, many of the battles pay heavy homage to the manga.
The battle against Souther is basically how the fight goes in the manga, though the context is heavily different, the beats of the actual fight are basically copied.
Targa, Xsana, Jagre, even Nadai, don't even exist in the manga.

It follows the manga and anime only until battle against Shin and how he stealed Juria from Kenshiro. The Whole game doesn't follow the manga and the anime. Not at all.
After the battle against shin, the story take place in a parallel world. In the manga, kenshiro and yuria don't die at the end.
As someone who loves the anime, I wasn't too pleased with this game, I mean, it was fine, but that's the problem for me, it was just fine, pretty standard and generic. Nothing memorable about this game at all. I was hoping they would make it a little bit more grand, but the game felt small to me. Also, it's supposed to be its own game but most the Yakuza clichés are still there. It's not bad, I wouldn't mind playing it again because it does have good combat, but the story disappointed me. Also ken in this game was literally Kiryu with superpowers who doesn't mind offing his enemies. His face throughout this entire game was 😑. They actually made ken boring to me. This is coming from a huge fan of hokuto no ken.
