      Yeah they don't get too big. My pair should start to darken up a nice amount this upcoming year. Eventually plan to breed them

      I have a pair of knoblochis there as calm as cornsnakes. I've shifted more towards cali kings and corns due to the what ive heard about young mexicana kings giving a hard time eating....but in the next few years ill start them after I get some experience under my belt with the corns and calis. thanks for watching Eric

    I love king snakes man. I have a pueblan milk snake myself. But I’ve been considering getting a California king snake. The all white color is great contrast.

      Pueblan milksnake nice. I was looking to get a sockhead or Halloween phase pueblan but mabey next year. Thank you for subscribing and I have lots more that I cant wait to share with you guys. California kingsnakes are great and I love the black and white ones. Some can be nippy but nothing crazy and with handling they usually calm down. Be safe and where do you like to buy snakes from?

    Weird how snakes will pass on feeders of the same species from one breeder but eat them from another.

    How do you tame down a young kingsnake? Does it come with age or do I need to start doing my handling sessions?

    • @cloudcolubrids4603
      @cloudcolubrids4603  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching the video. Young snakes in general are very nervous and defensive becuase they think we are predators. With age most usually mellow out. I wouldnt over stress out a young snake and over handle him. Instead when you do handle him use slow motions try and let the snake relax in your hands and then return him to his tank. Most times when you go to pick them up if they see a hand coming towards them fast it scares them so dont make fast movements and try to let the snake climp on your hand. Sometimes you have to just pick them up if they are very fast and just try and run.
      Some snakes have different personalities...some are just born calm and some are very defensive...but eventually they calm down...

      @@iknowgood2403 did you try the deli cup technique. Make sure the pinky is warm then toss it in the deli up put some paper towel then put the snake in close the lid and leave him alone in a dark room for an hour. If that dosnt work wait a few days let him relax then warm a pinky and make a slit in its head this is called brained pinky...then drop it in his tank and see if that works...then last resort would be try live...but not sure if you were considering bringing him back if thats what the breeder is suggesting
