Retired in 2013 at 59. I love it. I have a garage full of tools for wood working, (typical tools plus CNC router, laser) metal working (welding, plasma, breaks, press, etc). I also like being out in the yard growing things. Have truck/trailers since 94' and camped all over the country. Sometimes gone for 2 weeks to a month a year. When I retired I went to Budapest Hungary, bought a bicycle and road the Danube River bike trail to it's origination in West Germany (6 weeks), been to Italy, Greece, France for a couple of weeks site seeing. Now 70, I'm only afraid I'm not going to live long do more. Mostly enjoy spoiling the kids in the family.
Thank you for sharing. I will be retiring in two years, looking for side hustles to keep busy, make a little money on the side. I am a preschool teacher, I have an Etsy and EBay sellers account, not many sales because I have not taken it serious. Not sure which direction I want to go. I enjoy working in community outreach programs. Thanks again for your tips.
Great! I am a reseller too. There are many platforms to resell on, eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Mercari and others. These are all great for quick money. However, if you are creative, I suggest that you look at Print On Demand. You will put up some work into it up front but then you will see profits come in over time. There are other ways too. Another one to look at are eBooks. Good luck!
Yes side hustles are great. I have am always interested. I have almost always had some sort of small business. Currently I work 6 mths a year. I spray lawns for weeds😊
Many people my age don't know what a side hustle is! What are you interested in? Are you creative? No? How about mechanical? No? How about doing research? This is why I asked about hobbies. Maybe we can come up with a good side hustle for you, but I really need to know what you enjoy doing. Thanks for commenting!
