When Stephanie said each piece of pie had whipped cream on it it reminded me of a friend who was going to her in laws (now ex, but not because of this story) for Thanksgiving and she was bringing the pumpkin pies, she had them all ready to go and sitting on the counter when she went to pack them up to go she found that her cat had been in the pie, she quickly disguised the missing areas of the pie with extra whipped cream and never mentioned it to anyone

I had a roommate in University who wanted to make a pumpkin pie, she did from thr innards of the pumpkin not the pumpkin. Always look at a pumpkin pie differently! Thank you ladies. Always so enjoyable. You are so fortunate to have each other..

All my life until my great granny passed, she made fried apple 🍎 pie fritters in her well loved and used daily cast iron skillet. She was a masterful cook! She made everything look so easy to make. She always made my favorites southern cornbread, fried okra, fried potatoes with onions, brown beans, and of course those amazing fried apple 🍎 pie fritters!!!!!
We always called her Peanut Granny, because she would send Grandpa to the store for orange peanut candy (yes those completely made of sugar squishy orange peanuts).
I miss her SO much! She was an amazing woman and granny.♥️

The best thing about Fall aside from the cooler weather, no humidity, beautiful colors, is apple picking. And the best thing about apple picking is homemade apple pie, with ice cream of course, Pam, "Christmas in the Adirondacks!!” just beautiful! I LOVE your top 10! few of my items in there and now I want a few more. Teresa kicked it out of the park. I think she is #1 on every floss tube I watch. I can't wait for my copy, it was the firtst thing I pre ordered.

Your new pillow finishes are marvelous! Pie, oh how I love thee! I could never pick just one favorite. I dearly wish that I had asked my Grandma for her sour cream raisin pie recipe! I have tasted many, but they are not even close! Thanks for the longer video! I was able to get a good start on my Demension Deer Scene.
I love watching the two of you so very much that I save your video until I need it most in the week. You do not disappoint! Here it is Sunday afternoon watching last weeks video and enjoying every moment. Starting to cool down a bit here in Atlanta. Only in the low 80s this weekend. Thank you ladies for another wonderful video. As fall is creeping in and the smells of autumn are upon us there is one favourite smell of all, and that is freshly baked pumpkin pie. I am one that could have it year round but then I suppose it would not be my favourite. Have a wonderful time at your retreat.

Oh my goodness! My hubby treated me to a trip to Keepsakes. I was so overwhelmed by the beautiful lusciousness of the stitched samples that I totally lost focus on what I was was there to get. Then I saw Stephanie and totally lost all ability to speak. LOL. I didn't realize how star struck I would be. Thanks for all you both do. I enjoy your videos.
My mom was the best pie maker in the world, I have her recipes but they are just not the same!!😢 loved the video you always put a smile on my face!!

Pam and Steph love watching your video. Your WIP's are beautiful and really loved seeing the new patterns that have come out of expo and seeing the top 10. I too love the bagpipes. My grandfather was from Glasgow Scotland and came to Canada and married my grandmother and my dad was born. My favorite movie is with Gene Kelly is Brigadoon. I absolutely love that movie. I have been working on my Halloween banner by Stoney Creek and loving it and I finished a couple of smalls and have kitted up six projects for

The sound of bagpipes always makes me teary! My Dadda (Mum's dad) played the pipes, so there are many childhood memories attached to the sound. Every year I go to Brigadoon at Bundanoon- I am always there for the parade & massed band display at the start of the day, & I always tear up when those hundreds of pipes play in unison. You would love it, Pam! & all the talk of pie brings to mind some 80s hair- I'm a huge cherry pie fan 😜
My wife watches you every episode. And I laughed my head off when you all was talking.when Steph was having a teachable moment.and she said listen Lynnda , my wife looked up and listen . Loved seeing your haul and Keepsakes top 10 from Expo! Pam, I feel ya with the blended threads and half stitches! I stitched Touching the Autumn Sky in 2020 and wow…it was a LOT. It’s beautiful though! Hope you’re having a lovely week. I’m about to kit up a Mirabilia called Autumn in my Garden and it has a pumpkin or 2 (or 4) on it and blended threads! It’s my autumnal equinox start! Hope you’re have a great week.

Well Hello Ladies, I was going to try and be very creative with my story of a pie but I am stitching and want to get back to my pattern. But, I do have one story but it is about a cake. My son who was around 8-10 at the time wanted a red velvet cake for his birthday. I made it for him and it was delish. He ate so many pieces that it made him sick. Soooooooooo, he did not make it exactly to the porclain bowl but close. I had red food coloring from the cake all over my bathroom. Now everytime I hear about red velvet cake or see it on the menu I think of my dear son. He passed away suddenly in a boating accident 11 years ago and I miss him terribly. Now he can eat all of the red velvet cake he wants. Keep up the good work ladies and I hope to see you at Stitch Con 2023. Happy Stitching,.

Oh I absolutely love the temperature drink chart. It is coming along nicely. I do understand how sometimes people can throw you out of sorts. You just can't fix em, 😆. True story, my grandmother was the best baker in the world. She made all sorts of goodies and was actually known in her town as the go to baker (back in the day). My favorite pie of hers is her pumpkin pie. I begged her to show me how to make it (she never gave out her recipes). She finally relented and actually had me place my hand on a bible and swear to never share it with anyone except my daughter! I lost her several years ago and am now in possession of her recipes. To this very day, I have never shared her recipes with anyone but my daughter and will ask the same of her as a way to honor my grandma - boy, do I miss her!
Also, Pam, I used to live in Scotland and tried to learn the bagpipes, HOLY MOLY! You have to have some serious lung capacity to be able to play those. My husbands best friend plays them and played Amazing Grace at his funeral, very moving. There is something special about the bagpipes!

For the person in Va Beach, Dyeing to Stitch is the local LNS and Annie, the owner is amazing. She has a table in the front of the shop and there are always stitchers there whenever I visit. Sometimes it's one person, sometimes it's several, but it always looks like a great time.
I have been to dying 2 stitch a few times... but I thought they was a part of group, I will have to check out thank you

It is almost 2:00am and I’m watching you ladies while finishing my first Blackbird WIP! I did a silent happy dance, since ringing a bell might wake up my family and ruin my solo stitchy time. I wish I could celebrate with pie, but our garden is still in zucchini bread season. Have a safe trip!

Hi Girls Pam I love your Christmas in the Adirondacks anything with cardinals are my favorite. When we celebrate Thanksgiving we always have a least 3 to 4 pies. They are great for leftovers for breakfast yummy. Have a good week.

I loved the story about Mr Picky Pins. Beatrix Potter has a soft spot in my heart. I used to read the stories to my kids and I always loved the names of the characters. Now on to pies. One of my favorite movies is "Michael" with John Travolta and Andie McDowell. She sang a song in the movie...pie, pie, I love pie. My kind of girl. Have fun on your retreat!
If you give Pam a bagpipe quartet you might wake the dead! I grew up next to a master piper in the days preceding air conditioning and continue to enjoy the pipes. My son’s graduating year was piped and bongoes…bongoed in and piped out. It was great!
I used to live about 20 minutes from K’bunk (in the 80’s and 90’s) and actually visited Marilyn’s shop several times. I have approximately 70 of her charts. I love pie but most especially lemon meringue!!
My pie story also involves a cat. I made from scratch several pies (including the crust!) to take to my son's house for Christmas. I put the pumpkin pie on the kitchen table and we went about our festivities. I went back into the kitchen and saw that the kitchen towel that was covering the pie was indented. One of his three cats had taken a walk thru the pie! Since the pie was covered with a towel it was still good and we ate it. Now when I bring any dessert I make sure that it gets put in a cupboard or has a hard cover so there are no footprints in it.
I am right there with ya Pam with the bag pipes!!! Love them so much!!!

Of all the places in the entire world…..my husband & I met when we both went to school in Buckingham, he went on to study at Buckingham University too! I made a cherry pie from scratch one year, I even pitted the cherries, and thought my youngest would love it since cherry is her favorite. Nope, she asked if I would make another one using the cherry filling from a can. No rest for the weary! Loved seeing the top 10 and all your haul!

Hi Ladies, great video, great content. Love watching you both you brighten up my day. Love, love pie season, already baked an apple and blackberry pie. The C&C fabrics are fabulous, you are so lucky, we here in the UK have great difficulty getting the verities of fabrics you can get.
I absolutely love pie…..off any type. My son’s favorite as lemon meringue which he always asked me to make for his birthday. On his 16th birthday I had him make it with me which he was amazed how long he had to store the pot to make the lemon filing!!!! I knew a few chritmas’s later he was paying attention as he found this wonderful device that fits on a pot and stirs the pot automatically. He is 35 and I still make him this pie from time to time and don’’t have to slave at the stove to stir it :)
What are the holidays without pie? Unfortunately, I needed to go keto ages ago so I've not had any pie for over four years. You know what? The holidays are still awesome!!! Love listening to you ladies and I was glad to hear you give a shout out to Stitchy Fix, I love them too!

Hello ladies, well I didn’t know Mrs Tiggie-Winkle had an Uncle who played the bagpipes by the name of Mr Prickle-Pin! I feel I have not only let Beatrix Potter down but I let you down by not knowing this and even more so, let myself down (lol) I do apologise for this. I was so focused on the hedgehog under the tree I hadn’t even noticed Mrs TW dancing with her friends lol! Pam I love your pillow with Her Majesty stitched on. I have just finished one (not the same) thank you for celebrating with us 🇬🇧 the Queen’s Jubillee. I love your fox pillow too Steph! perfect!

Hello you beautiful girls … I hope you’re having the bestest time at the Quilters’ Retreat! We have a shortage in the hospitality sector down here as well - some cafes couldn’t even open at times because they couldn’t get the staff. They filmed Elvis here on the Gold Coast and Tom and Rita Hanks flew in with covid - it was very early in the pandemic. They were both hospitalised and Tom would post photos about how they were and how much they were being spoilt - he seems like a lovely man. Mum always said if you get one recipe you love from a cookbook it was worth the purchase … my favourite pie, perhaps? Chicken Pot Pie or Key Lime Pie or an Apple Pie using Aussie apples 🍏 called Granny Smiths … or that great Aussie staple - a Meat Pie! Big hugs xxx
