Wow lord is gorgeous and yes always double your krenik! I think I went through 11 roles for enchanted mermaid! 🧜♀️ she is beautiful and oh so sparkly! I had to buy more beads too but I did use nymo thread. If you are using dmc to bead use 2 strands and match the fabric where the bead goes or match the bead it’s your choice! Have fun beading is my absolute favorite and the mermaid took almost 50 hours to bead! She had tons and so many extra places around her to do though! 😊

It was great having Lady of the Flag be the “third” person for half the video. I have a 20 year old pattern from Black Swan Designs called “Fire & Ice”that is of 2 dragons, it is not one that can be found anywhere these days, though and I have never stitched it.🧡

I love how the Cara Mia project finished . It looks so awesome on that fabric. Personally I would find a black shield with crossed swords on it and put the piece on the to keep with the Addams Family vibe. As much as I hate beading, when I do I always use a floss that matches the color of the bead. Working with kreinik is not hard if you get thread conditioner or bees wax and run the metallic through it then it will slide super nice. I used a lot of it on the angel quilt for my daughter. Yes the Fire and Ice pattern is what I made for my husband 2007 Mustang. There is also one that is called Gold and Silver. Someday I will stitch that one as well. 😊

Also, I finished a small for last year for the smalls xchange and after seeing everything that people put together, it's like WAY less about the stitchy part and more about the TONS of stuff added. I'm SO glad I didn't try and do it. I would have been so embarrassed.🧡

Allison don't be like me and put it off for 33 + years. She will be one of my 65 for '25 starts. Try thread conditioner on your kreinik. Also I have read that you can substitute Rainbow Gallery Petite Treasure Braid for Kreinik braid. You can do a Google search for a conversion chart. It looks like you get twice as much for a better price. I looked into it because most places are either out ot the Kreinik or their prices are out of my range. Good luck with your beading.

Can't wait to see that finish. Am also finding all the colour changes on golden delicious tough, it's taking me twice as long to stitch as I thought it would. Brilliant idea to outline all the flowers first! Going to do that for the second half of that border I have left ♥
I would not use invisible thread on your Lady of the Flag. It degrades very quickly! I would go to a beading site like Fire Mountain and use a Nymo thread. If you don’t want to buy that just use your floss. Honestly that is what I use. I’m a beader and a sewist. I’ve been sewing for over 60 years and beading for almost 40 years. I have just started cross stitching again after a 25 year break! Lol
Had so much fun watching this video during 24 hours of cross stitch. Perhaps the best part was, after you mentioned your murder wall several times, my tween son (who was reading in the same room) asked very seriously "Why can't we have a murder wall instead of a mermaid wall?"🤣
Because overdyed fabric with 2 pieces can have weird shrinkage, once sewn together, add buttons or charms if your line is slightly off to disguise. Wow, your LOTF is gorgeous !!! Invisible Polyester Thread is a total Pain to work with, UGH. You can use DMC floss that closely matches the bead color. Use shorter strands of Kreinik & thread magic conditioner helps. Too hot for Fall stitching still here 🎃🧡🤎 but maybe the end of October I can start my seasonal work.

Beautiful stitching ladies as always. For beading a Mirabilia I use Nymo beading thread , using mono filament thread is a nightmare.
When I bead I use a thread that matches the fabric, that's always worked best for me. 🧡
