Cute, cute, cute finish! I have washboards that belonged to each of my grandmothers and over 35 years ago I stitched designs to put in the upper portion of the washboards. One is a "welcome" that hangs by our front door and the other is in (where else) my laundry room. I have a glass washboard so will have to look through my box of "unfinishes" and see if I have anything that would fit on it. FYI, if you ever want to hang your washboard, level nails the width of the washboard apart, will hold it securely on the walls. Since the upper corners rest on the nails, it is important that they be level. Thanks for today's freebie, I had to print that off right away.
Love the washboard idea. I have some (not antique) in a box in my garage that I have moved around since the mid 1990's. Not sure if any are glass. Makes me want to go dig around to see if I can find the box. I always enjoy having a cuppa or coffee with you on Sunday morning. Enjoy Stitching London. 😊 Scarlett

Love your added detail on Witches Night Out, enjoyed seeing your collection, beautiful work. Super idea with the washboard, the three reals are the perfect finishing touch, lovely stitch and colours. I did purchase a couple of charts from Nimble Thimble, Scarlet House - Needfuls and The Blue Flower - Tudor Bee, haven't started yet I am so busy, they are in the pile of can't waits. I always love your stitching and presentations. The juggling ducks is so awesome, but I can’t get my head past the glass washboard. Here in the USA, ours all have a metal scrubbing insert. I’ve never heard of a glass one. As a matter of fact, these metal surfaces are strummed up and down by someone wearing thimbles on three or four fingers in time to our bluegrass mountain music. I learn the most interesting things from you. Lovely, lovely pieces. Enjoy your retreat!

Just back from a wonderful SIL weekend and now catching up with you. I had forgotten Herbert was a freebie from you last year and I have kept thinking I must do an owl as have been admiring Ruth's and wanted to try perforated paper as I have not yet stitched on it....And funnily enough I got the magazine off the freebie table that the sheep on the spool you showed is in and Whitney and I flicked through it and that was our favourite so I'll definitely be stitching it too!
