I have an id core 10 v2 and I actually really impressed. I love super crunch channel with a little gain. And I think the reverb is really nice. In Turkey everything is gettin more expensive these days. Music devices are realy really expensive ,even guitar strings. We are able to buy just entry model amps and guitars. But I love my squier strat and my id core. I think we will see better days in the future.
Thank you SO MUCH for this review. This is my 2nd day playing with this amplifier and the manual is totally useless for explaining the nuances of increasing the DEPTH of each effect, then increasing or decreasing the LEVEL of effect, so your demo was exactly what I wanted as a starting point to understand how to achieve basic effects. Now need to play with using 2 - or all 3 - of the "Modulation" "Delay" and "Reverb" settings along with the individual effects - then "Saving" them, but that's for another day!
Thanks for this video. I have this amp. I have mixed feelings about it. I'm here because maybe I don't know what I'm doing or how to get the most out of it. Your video helped, primarily by using the same loop thru the various settings. Other guys demo amps switching the self-indulgent music they're playing, switching pickup settings, and even switching guitars. That's helpful to...??? Yes they can play guitar much better & faster than me, but so what? I just wanna hear the amp! What you did here was relatively brilliant. I also commented on your recent Les Paul v. PRS video. Your sense of humor has a definite place in your vids. Keep it going!!
I just got this amp and your video was very helpful to understand how to dial in the various effects. The manual was extremely scant in that regard. Thanks 👍🏻
I'm not a huge effects person, I mostly got this amp bc it was cheap, portable, and sounded really good for the size. Perfect for practicing in my apartment when a louder amp would just be a waste. I usually run Guitar Rig but I've been pretty pleased with the cleans and crunches on this amp, the reverb and delays are also nice sounding. I'll definitely be looking into Blackstar again when I need to buy something bigger and louder for playing live.
I absolutely love the Clean Bright Voice on this amp. Still haven't quite found the right distortion setting for my taste yet. It sounds good, but just need to tweak it to sound great. I do wish it had separate B/M/T knobs, but the versatility of this amp makes up for it IMO.
I bought one of these, used from craigslist, for $50. I LOVE IT. Sounds great, easy to use, USB output, I wasn't expecting much, but was blown away but the sound.
How it's holding up after 1 year. I really wanted to buy this amp, found one used with 3 years, but I was concerned after seeing some people talking about some power supply problems and the fuse dying.
First I was frustrated but after I figured out the combinations it was great. All I wanted was a good delay and chorus. But found a couple of good almost shimmer like tones with the reverb. Great review thanks.
This amp is a good fit for me. Small enough to blast in the living room and light enough to carry to another room. I have a small battery pack with an inverter and receptacle just strong enough to run it. If it had a rechargeable battery pack that you could opt or ditch, it would make it amazing.
I bought one of these about 5 months ago. For the money, you can't beat it. The overdrive sounds are decent, good reverb, good clean tones. My only drawbacks are the software (sorta confusing) and the fact that it has a transformer rather than plugging straight into 110V
Great review...why aren't all amp reviews or even demos done with a looper pedal this way? The stereo effect comes through well in the audio here, and with the delay it sounds like two guitars going. Nice. Since I'm sill loving my Fly 3 after a year, I may have to eventually get one of Blackstar's larger models. (I sooo wish the Core BEAM came with a battery powered version like the Yamaha THR!)
Hi, I can’t switch between preset voice modes even when activating & closing the manual button, almost feels like the voice knob is completely dead. What could be the issue?
i like its sound but I have a tube screamer od and satchurator pedal, so will I be able to bypass the inbuilt effect of this amp, so that I can connect my pedals and also get emulated output
Thanks for great video. I just wanto ask that is the 10w amp version is enough for home use? I started new with e.guitars but try to find the optimum performance/price product to start with amps. I couldt decide to buy a 10w or 20w version of idcore. I think you can suggest the best idea for me. I m going to use it generally at home in my 15m2 room. And i will try classic rock with clean or crunch modes.
I'm considering the ID Core 10 but I'm also going to get a multi effects pedal. Would a non modeling practice amp be a better fit for a multi effects pedal?
The Effect Type dial appears to have a range for each of the four effects in each type. For example, the first Reverb type (from about 7 o'clock to 9 o'clock on the dial) is Room Reverb. Does adjusting this range (from 7-9 o'clock) adjust the level of the Room Reverb, etc.? The symbols around the dial on the amp face seem to indicate this as well. So, if this dial adjusts the level of the effect, what is the point of the Effect Level dial (immediately to the right)? Isn't it redundant?
aa bb hey good question I had to go back and take a look myself. The effects dial on the right is a wet dry mix so it's how much of the effect you actually hear in the overall sound. And each effect has its own amount or intensity level that is represented by that symbol you were talking about. Hope that helps
Thanks! Really appreciate your review and your feedback. I agree with the other commenters that your style of review--looping a riff and adjusting the amp settings while the same riff repeats--is the most helpful kind of review.
great review i like it. is this amp good for metal? without high gain metal distortion pedal? can i get metal tones with this amp. thankyouu in advance :)))

Hey nice! Isn’t the 3D sound impressive. Amp sounds way bigger than it should
This is one of the best review and demo of the amp. You took us through all the tones 👍👍👍
Definitely helps me to decide in whether to buy it or not.

Defnitely the best video showing the effects. Great home/studio amp for the money too.

The Effect Type dial appears to have a range for each of the four effects in each type. For example, the first Reverb type (from about 7 o'clock to 9 o'clock on the dial) is Room Reverb.
