- After 10 months of ownership, giving my honest opinion in a review of out 2021 Mazda CX9 touring with premium package. The Mazda CX9 power plant makes 310 horsepower and 227 horsepower with the help of a turbo charger and intercooler. If you think the CX9 will be underpowered due to it having a 4 cylinder engine, don't worry it makes more torque than most V6 engines. The Mazda CX9 interior cabin is very luxurious and spacious. The premium package gives captain chars which allows easy access to the third row. Lets check out the Mazda CX9 Kodo design language exterior design. The car is beautiful on the outside. The paint color is Snow Flake white pearl mica. I will show you all the interior features of the CX9 as well as the infotainment. I will show you the back up camera and parking sensors on the Mazda CX9 and demo how they work We have owned this Mazda CX9 for 10 months. We feel confident and safe in how the Mazda CX9 performs in the rain. The CX9 AWD also did very well driving in 6 inches of snow at Crystal Mountain. Very good review. You covered all of my concerns particularly Mazda decision of putting the 2.5 Liter 4 cyl. in this bigger car. My wife and I have test driven a couple of the CX-9s and they are peppy with the Turbo and 300+ torque. Thank you for sharing.

Glad you like the Skyline, I sure love that car! The CX-9 road noise is much quieter compared to our 2009 Acura MDX. You don't really hear any wind noise only thing you can hear is just a little bit of sound from the tires on the pavement. It's easy to speed in this car. The turbo always makes the car want to go faster than you think you are. I find myself going 15 miles over the speed limit and having to slow down quite frequently. This engine also makes less noise compared to the old 3.7 l in the MDX. Without measuring with any decibel tools, I would say the cabin seems to be about 25% less noise than the Acura. Hope that helps!

Just plug the usb from phone into car. Google maps loads right up.
How's the paint holding up on the CX9. I heard it chips very easily. I too saw some 2019 cx5s and saw alot of minute rock chips damage. I'm planning to pick up either a white or soul red CX9 and dunno if I should get the Paint Protection film done for this.
In order to use Android auto or Apple car play, does it require an USB cable to connect or Bluetooth?

Hi. How much more FRONT room is there on the 9 from the 6. Is it noticeable? Thx
I would say the front to back and side to side is about the same. The biggest difference is the a-pillar slope on the cx9 is not as much, which gives you more forward head room. Makes the front seats feel loss confining compared to the Mazda 6.
