$800 is ridiculous unless they are counting on not selling very many. They need to shoot for $649.00 since there is roughly $200 of improvement over the Phase Essential.
I think you’re right. $649.00 sounds about right where it should be. Still too rich for my blood ($930 Canadian) but a little more reasonable than $800 ($1150)
Plus any battle DJ have most of those features anyways. Just paying for redundancy. Phase will have to rethink this one thru for pricing us on mainly cosmetics and fix any new Phase OGs shipped with better tracking module cos as we all know drifts except you are lucky.
I feel the Pro should cost what the regular costs and cut the regular in half where it is now. These are cool little sticks, but c'mon. Even the regular price is hard to swallow, at least make those $100 cheaper, probably sell more too.
I remember dropping one of my Phase Remotes on the floor by accident and it cracked & stopped working,.. i can only imagine what would happen if someone drops these things
Round remote where the track, bpm ect stays still or floating that would be another level but with everything the added to this one I’m sure can be done.
Yea super pricey cost more that a turntable lol ., i personally will stick with needles and control vinyl.. but if its important to someone it is cool tech nonetheless
Perfect example of engineering were the engineers no longer are users of the product they develop. The point of Phase is not Phase itself. 800 US dollars... Only great about this is Mojaxx.
Where you able to test drift. The reason I got rid of Phase because it was near impossible to do long mixes with it. I don't only like to scratch but also play house. I know it's not my tables because vinyl stays in sync for much longer.
That's exactly my question! That bpm drift is a killer, I'm constantly having to fiddle with it. If I'm on normal vinyl or time coded control vinyl, though, it's rock solid, so I know it has to be the Phase unit. I don't care at all about the OLED or touch screen controls - I'd personally probably just turn all that off. But I _really_ want more accurate bpm reporting and no more drift!
Interesting. But the price estimate is a bit outlandish and the main improvement I’d like to see is the remote being less in the way, which this update doesn’t address. Good on them though!
The transmitter needs to be smaller, otherwise there's no point. The CRSS-12 clamp is already too big as it is. Putting your hand on the label while scratching is very important for me.
IIRC I paid something like $650 when I preordered the original Phase and it dropped a couple hundred about a year after it hit the streets; so my guess is 800 will be for bleeding edge sorts and it will drop in price in due time as well?
@ yeah, on I believe it was worth it in your situation. You got to be one of the 1st to own this tech, bro, that’s priceless. In the case of these, I believe 800 is a good price, but in comparison to what else you can get, Crss12s, Rane 12s, the 1st units with new tables, that’s a little high, but I’m sure they will drop to around the 5 to 600 mark in no time, which is a killer deal, we pay to be the 1st. No shame in that, if I didn’t have the Phase Essential now, I would be all over these just to be one of the 1st. Having you logo on it is a killer point. Sh** that is the main reason I may give in lol
@ nope, you have no idea what you’re talking about here. I’m specifically talking about removing the need for a sound card altogether by having music sent to a mixer through a line out from a phase device. The original device never did that
@djstuc That would make phase as expensive as a REV7 or Rane One... so basically you want the sound card built into the receiver with line out. This shit is already $800 adding a soundcard to it will easily add another $300+ The reloop Flux is $450.
Phase team shouldve just apply smaller compact aluminum body, much more stable connection, longer battery life. and add extra 100-150 dollar. This price, OLED screen, extra features is just ridiculous. ( I meant it in a negative tone)
Something this tiny, with so many additional features, including that OLED screen equals more resources taxing the tiny battery that they've got in there. More battery usage means reduced life cycle.. something this small really needs to have a user replaceable battery.. or at least a serviceable battery so that we can take them into a repair shop and get the lithium cells swapped out like we do with cell phones. Otherwise they'll end up in landfills after their batteries die.. I guess the phase guys are hoping to generate sales from this?
should have made the transmitters the size of 12 inch vinyl. would be a little thicker than a 12 inch but would have like a forty eight hour battery life
Could have spent time and effort on working on stability, connection, performance issues for existing units. In my book, Phase has the moral obligation to address those first.
Hey! Phase Pro might be the big news of the moment, but we’re still all in on Phase Essential. More updates, more cool features, it's only getting better. Stay tuned!
I was just near Anaheim earlier this week to see Itzhak Perlman playing live (turned out to be a bunch of klezmer music; which was fun but I'm definitely grateful I saw him perform solo decades earlier at a smaller venue). Guess I should have hit up NAMM too! Looks neat. I gave away my second Phase set to some fellow deejays, but have been wanting another backup set; nice to know I'll be able to hold off a bit for an upgrade I guess? Admittedly, I was thinking about purchasing a pair of the PLX-CRSS12 turntables, which obviate the need for something like Phase; but I still have my Reloop RP-8000MK2s which I dig immensely (and it looks as if MXM is showcasing the Phase Pro with the Reloop RP-7000MK2s which I can understand); to say nothing of other turntables out there most likely not being the PLX-CRSS12s at most places. Looks as if you're leveling up too Mojaxx, looking fit!
I'm waiting for Phase pro to make their first light weight, motorized spinning platter DJ controllers. Imagine having 4 of those, and a 4 channel mixer all set with Serato.
I hope the improved radios, tracking, and battery life make their way into a new revision of the essential model. As nice as the customizable screens are, the custom screens aren't enough of a value add for me, and I can't see myself chasing buttons around the turntable while I'm working. Good luck to them and I hope this works out, but it's a little too much for me.
Nice. Im a big fan of phase, But honestly, I will probably pass on this. Price too high. The upgrades arent that compelling. I cant see tiny text well (im old) lol. So that little screen is useless to me. Just my own opinion.
We already have a computer screen, we already have a touch screen on the mixer, why have two more screens to worry about? If everyone uses a disk, the phase could be on the disk itself. That would be a relevant, practical change, and it would reduce one component, no one can stand having more things to take care of when it comes to drums...
Thanks for your feedback man, it means a lot to us to hear what our community is saying. 🙏 Do know that when creating Phase Pro, what we wished to do was to create a fully customizable product that is tailored to a specific set of DJs, who themselves will decide upon which features they wanna use or leave aside. So it's really up to y'all to use that freedom to elevate your experience as a DJ, or to leave it aside if you don't deem it to be the suitable option for ya.
Hi! So Phase Pro is actually slimmer than Phase Essential, even with a bigger battery and OLED screens on the Remotes. We totally get that the touchscreen might make some DJs a bit skeptical at first, though. But when creating Phase Pro, we had in mind a premium product that is tailored to a specific group of DJs wanting to explore the infinite creative possibilities offered by the endless customization features we introduced. And of course, depending on your needs and expectations, not all the features have to be necessarily used, if it's not your thing to add MIDI controls for instance.
Well, at least they called in "Machine Learning"? Not a huge win but better than a lot of the terminology for those who, like I, already consider ourselves survivors of earlier so-called "AI" winters.
Bruh, Rekordbox keeps shooting themselves in the foot. I have been in a Pioneer exclusive ecosystem since 2017 and I am in the process of migrating everything over to Serato as of this year. I want the Phase kit and I want it to work right out of the box. This is one of a short list of reasons I am parting ways with Pioneer / Alpha Theta, they really don't care to integrate with others. The only good Rekordbox will be for me soon is setting up a USB for playing out lol. This new Phase kit looks cool, but the price is a bit steep. I'm just ready to give needles a rest when playing DVS.
Excited about the new HID mode and how it will sound when scratching. The button feature also sounds great :) I can already imagine loading new tracks onto the deck with it! I'll let myself be surprised by the price as well :D
They added a SECOND transmitter, a bigger battery, a full-color OLED screen and midi controls, all without making the remote any bigger. What Phase engineers are doing with this tech is absolutely insane

Hey! Totally get where you’re coming from. We know Phase Pro isn’t for everyone, and honestly, we were a bit skeptical ourselves at first about how these new features would play out in real use. But our goal has always been to create something fully customizable for DJs who want to push their creativity even further. You don’t have to use the MIDI buttons or display a logo if that’s not your thing. What we focused on was improving performance across the board, including boosting battery life to 15 hours. It’s a big challenge, but we’re pushing hard to make something truly innovative for those who want it. 🙌
At time of post 800 likes, same as their ridiculous price... You're having flashbacks to 2018, well it seems they've left their brain in 2018 if they think there isn't better options than forking out $800 for this shit w their gimmick oled touchscreen when dj's really want a stand out tool feature.
I remember paying 280€ for my phase. Will have to find out how to replace the batteries at some point but I'm not going to chuck more money into this company. Absolutely ridiculous
This give me the annual new Iphone vibes where there's nothing really improved but a fancy display and a better camera. Chasing a button around is not practical over an stationary button on a mixer. I'll stick with the essentials package instead.
Hey! Although some features may make some people skeptic about Phase Pro such as the touchscreens or MIDI controls like stems or switching through screens, we're currently working in close collaboration with many DJs to go above and beyond and perfect the product. Actually all these DJs have even tried the product at NAMM and have absolutely loved it! Also, do note that Phase Pro and Phase Essential aren't the same products at all, and that one isn't here to replace the other. So depending on one's needs or expectations, they may consider one or the other as their suitable option for mixing. :)
JUST MAKE THEM SMALLER PLEASE !! SHEESH. I do NOT need a screen and buttons there. This is very over-priced for what's basically an "S" series upgrade like Apple. I've always loved Phase and I hate that CDJ's are ubiquitous. I have 4 remotes for my original PHASE I got 15 hours of playtime right there for both decks. This seems like a very out of touch "upgrade" and frankly a money-grab. Disappointing for sure. Be Well Mojaxx ! - DJ BLAZE
This is not a game changer...this is phase 2.0! with a excesive price 800€ 😤
$800 is ridiculous unless they are counting on not selling very many. They need to shoot for $649.00 since there is roughly $200 of improvement over the Phase Essential.

FR Dude totally transformed 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Lol chasing buttons around a moving platter seems crazy
😂😂😂😂😂
exactly
It will all make sense once you get it in your hand
Shit looks hilarious
Just give me the regular ones, and make them $100 cheaper.
The display button is hilarious
I was really hoping for a round version like a 45 adaptor. My hands hit these with fast spin backs since I do a lot of juggling.
i was thinking the same thing
I remember dropping one of my Phase Remotes on the floor by accident and it cracked & stopped working,.. i can only imagine what would happen if someone drops these things
Cool but make us a ROUND remote please
Round remote where the track, bpm ect stays still or floating that would be another level but with everything the added to this one I’m sure can be done.
Looking good Mojaxx!
🙂
Putting a touch display on a rotating platter is fuckin insanity. Aint no way I missed the sale for this shit😭😭
the OGs will sell alot on Marketplace for dirt cheap anyways so you might want to look into that
Got the old version on sale for $175.00 !
Cool and all but for that price u may as well just buy a Pioneer Crss12 decks ?!
I spend $800 on a phone every other year, and that is difficult to shell out sometimes. But for this, hard pass lol.
Yea super pricey cost more that a turntable lol ., i personally will stick with needles and control vinyl.. but if its important to someone it is cool tech nonetheless
$800 for rotating touchscreens, someone skipped the R&D stage 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Perfect example of engineering were the engineers no longer are users of the product they develop. The point of Phase is not Phase itself. 800 US dollars... Only great about this is Mojaxx.

Because its HID only. Any plans to have two USB ports so Dj can use the one unit and switch in and out?
Very cool! Mo is looking fit! Nice work 💪

Can’t wait to see it live at NAMM in a few hours See ya there
Fx shoulda been put on the box and made to the height of the turntable, woulda been nicer to get smaller remotes
The transmitter needs to be smaller, otherwise there's no point. The CRSS-12 clamp is already too big as it is. Putting your hand on the label while scratching is very important for me.
Instead of putting button on the spinning object, why not put buttons on the case? It will be bulkier but will be more easier to use.
That’s actually a good idea. Buttons on the receiver and make the remote round like a 45 adapter which everyone has been saying.
Sheesh finally after a zillion years!
$800?! I'll stick with essential, thanks
awesome tech! my og phase works perfectly fine. will the extra features be enough to upgrade 🤔
This looks dope! Loving Rena & 69Beats looking like security making sure you don’t run off with the Phase Pro 🤣
Being able to add your logo to it is dope! 800 is a little high, but I could see myself paying somewhere around 600.

can't wait to see the final product release. meeting at hotel rooms seem sketchy as h3ll, but glad it worked out hehe.
When can we get these with line out so no external sound card is needed?
Lol did you not watch the video? They are HID only. There will never be a line out buy the originals if you need line out.

But I thought Pioneer DJ PLX-CRSS12 went with the RCA analog signal because it was better than HID?
What overlay is Jack using to see the system latency?
We are not paying 800 for it
Looks great, if pricey. You yourself are looking trim, I hope its intentional (in which case, well done!), but if its health, get well soon!
Nice technological jump!
How should I use cue points or stems if they are rotating? Why not use the ones on the Mixer? I'd rather use a 15-year-old dicer than this.

$800 :))) a close price of a new turntable

Close to 29k views and ~900 likes hmmmm 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
How about your entire playlist on that OLED screen? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
$800 bucks to confuse you more with a rotating touch screen ..😂😂
