Todays video was brought to you by HIPA. They were kind enough to pay for out lift rental. Check out their website for some great deals on chains, carbs, and more!

Progress, defined in this case as falling to the ground.
The man of many, many skills.
Thank you Capt'n for taking the extra time it takes to bring your audience the choreographed shots.
You couldn't get me in that lift in the air unless you restrained me like Houdini in his heyday.
Because of your tinkering on all your stuff gave me the courage to replace my carb on my weed eater. And thanks to Hipa for the carb. $20 for the parts and about an hour of my time. 30 minutes for the replacement and 30 minutes of me and my son taking apart the old carb.
I understand the thought on "too many projects" and feel that way myself sometimes. Then I try to calculate how much it would cost to get someone else to do them, and I'm right back at work. Keep plugging along, Captain, there will always be one more goal. (Of course, sometimes that goal becomes "make it to Thursday" but hey, we did!) Thanks, and take care.
Putting a chainsaw checker board pattern on that stump goes a long way to allowing moisture, bugs, and dirt to rot it away. Plus your kids won't slip jumping on it. Good tree removal Captain, Cheers!
You can never have too many projects. Great to see a good sponsor. Stay safe
Thanks Mike for the video. Thanks for the 3:00 time check 😊 I enjoy your banter with us.
You are a hard working young man. My respect for working to make your dream a reality. Thanks for sharing.
When you opened I fully expected to have a tree fall on the your people (us), hey, why not, we been dropped, knocked over, nearly run over, nearly buried, you know the usual Y.T. stuff, I’m here to tell ya, “WE/I CAN TAKE IT” just keep on keepin on. 😮😊😂😂😂. All seriousness, nice take down on the tree, like your plan and your thinking on the out building for equipment maintenance, make the plan, work the plan, property is looking better as you work thru the phases, thanks for the update, as always, enjoy watching.
Good morning sunshine! You can never have too many projects! Lol! Awesome tree cutting skills you got! Great video! Much love and respect from Henderson Ga USA
I am glad I checked in on your video so I could see what time it is....I have been wondering all day....LOL.....glad to see you destroy that tree safely.....its good for you to have a friend like DP, who has all the equipment you need
Some good tree work there. Its nice to have access to the right equipment to get the job done 💪
Cap’n I’ve spent a fair amount of time limbing trees from a crows nest. I have yet to crawl out if one without rubber knees and elevated blood pressure!
Your logic on cutting limbs from the top down is impeccable for getting them to swing down. The only caveat is if you are pruning a tree that you want to keep. Then, a feller wants to go ahead & use your cut on the limb while leaving a stub at the trunk. As the limb swings down it tends to peel the bark. With the stub, it doesn’t peel it from the trunk. Then, you start to cut the stub off with an upward cut at the collar. Then, finish by severing it with a downward cut. I know you know this… but thought I’d posit it here as a PSA for folks who might want to save their tree.
Now, about that speeding issue… your DJI made it look as clear as glass… but, I bet my GoPro would have been as murky as pond water!!!
Nice job Mike! 👍
Whoa! Your like a dog in a squirrel park but with some self control. Great controlled dropping of that tree, well done!
Thx for the explanation on the why ….we like to get that info too. It was surprising to me that the tree was that much of a project until you explained the logic behind not disrupting the root ball (and why). I’m happy for you that everything is close enough (and small town traffic) that you can just “walk equipment” around like that.
Yay to HIPA for sponsoring this video and that stage of the project!!
Another project basically completed. Thanks for the sneak peak on the pool. Thank you for sharing 👌 😊
GEEZE, the view! I think there needs to be an observation tower on top of the World Headquarters
Makes you wonder how long NYAM ran it like that. No wonder DP lets you use all his stuff, you're a careful man, Mike.
Lift worked so good, I'm thinking of renting one to trim a big cedar tree in back yard. Seemed to work really good.
Although I don't like heights, I even have to close my eyes watching a film or TV when someone's up a tall building, the view from the top of the tree was just lovely. We hear about the river from you and Mike. so it's nice to see it in some context. And as the saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day. What is happening with all these bits and pieces you're doing, is that like Rome it's getting built. 👍
Man I’m envious of you starting the process of acquiring the 304…but..the shot pins and bushing in that thing would make me nuts! Maybe a little collaboration with Clint at C&C and he show how he could line bore a mini-x ? Here’s a little info for future tree projects ..when you’re running a good size saw in a manlift get a 48” lanyard and hook the saw to the basket..the little inconvenience is way better than shoveling saw parts up off the ground…LoL.
Rather than firewood, I'm sure there are a lot of small crafters and turners who would love to dispose of those rounds for you.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Good video. Wishing you and your family the best.
You sure make a fella miss things I usto do in Pennsylvania from farm equipment repairs to small engine repairs to you name it @good ole 37 I’ve worked on or with most equipment even some dozer work enjoy the all over content and randomness keeps me motivated to keep on pushing on in these high price times
let us know if you got infested with poison oak- i thought it was poison sumac but i am no expert-great video thanks HIPA for your support of the hardest working man on youtube
Good deal, thanks for sharing.
Good cutting bud!
A small wedge on a tether would be helpful at times, to keep from pinching your bar.
I love those trees but i get it, gotta make room. Great video.
Goodmorning mike! That little excavator is such a great addition! I can't wait to get one on my property. Watching you and looking out my window at the projects I could use it for is quite motivating... on that note my better half is probably going to make me stop watching if I start any more projects right away haha! Have a good one!
You lost your sunglasses 😎 somewhere between dropping off the man lift to 🕶️ the 304.
That was some nice tree work there Mike. Anyone would think you'd done that before! And you missed the camera, how did you do that? You were aiming at it and still you missed it! Nice that you sorted out the oil leaking from the filter, just shows someone is taking care of the M/cs. Look forward to the next episode, from UK.
Good Morning Mike! I had an idea to try for your hillside stabilization plan. Gather a bucket of acorns and sprinkle them in your rip rap on the hillside so you can get some quality trees to grow!!! Luv ya's from Kentucky!!! Loved the video also!!!!!
Just in case anyone else misses it?? That was pretty good aim with the camera...... that was even better and when it came to hitting your head, LOL
With that lift being older but some of those will shut off before you run out of fuel to keep you from needing to prime it. They have a timer that shuts them down when the fuel lights on. Just go ahead and start it and you can keep on running. Ran into it a lot when I was delivering them for Sunbelt.
always fun to watch .
Man, I'd rent you my equipment for free. Always taking take of the machines you run. It shouldn't be, but it's rare today
"Nah, that can't be". Perfect there Captain, my captain. You would not be you if you did not have that many irons in the fire.
Good morning Mike!
Captain, I love the content. I enjoy it very much.
I do a lot of work off the ground with safety lines and fall arrest harnesses. It's great to see you all geared up, but you need a chin strap on that helmet. If you (God forbid) ever fall, you WILL bang your head, without a helmet on your head, you can be knocked out and hang there, which is not a good thing. I'm not trying to be a safety Sally here but, you need a chin strap on that helmet.
Cheers from Tokyo!
Nice work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If you have a portable saw mill in the area , sycamore trees make beautiful lumber
"Rented" hahaha... We all know you're secretly the majority shareholder of DP Enterprises!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm not sure what else a fella calls it when he pays to use someone else's equipment ? Lol
smooth dropping the tree, the headquarters is coming around
👍🏻👍🏻Awesome work Captain
Nice Work greeting from Denmark ❤
There are check valves on aerial lifts so that they do not go out of control if you lose a hose also the planetary gears will not allow the lift to free roll
Keep the main boom all the way down and stay off the ground with the jib and it should transport faster.
This is my favourite video. Cherry picker and captain.
Good job
“ . . . in a controlled way” 😂😂
Great view from the top of the lift! Can we also get a UA-cam Yacht update?
In the years I worked as an operator I learned that if you left the tree stump about 6 or so feet high you can pretty much pull it over with you excavator or backhoe. Of course since you’ve been doing this work you already know that.
Well the HiPA store couldn't have been any easier. New blade for my electric chainsaw. $10.98. I'm a little careless with them, I sharpen them myself with a Dremel a time or two, then recycle them.
good video 👌
OK I'm done!
That machine is heavy enough to break the floor planks in most trailers. I thought that you were the one who last serviced that machine and you surely didn't damage the oil filter like that. Or maybe you serviced the other lift. After your friends see this video they will have you over cutting all their hazard trees. You played it safe and got it done.
Great video of,you’re a mess.just keep on doing your thing.be safe.little by little you’re dream is come together 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Good job, when are you going to get back on your boat house?
"Guilty of Treeson" channel shows how you could have done that without a lift.
You need warning hard hat required to watch video lol
Good morning
How did you enjoy the smell? Sycamore here has a very distinct smell then you take one down and cut it up.
Treat the stump with Torodon RTU or it will sucker up like crazy
Sure beats doing it with spikes,
@@jimurrata6785 thanks
@@georgerogers542 If you're not used to climbing it's real tough on the inside of your thighs, and generally you want to start cutting limbs completely off from the bottom up to avoid unclipping all the time.
Climbing through that patch of poison ivy would have sucked!
👍
Please, please, please do a click bait video of the easiest way to remove a stump. Would love your take and an interpretation of those genre of videos. You know the ones that you talk about it for way longer and you show the work being done
😊
🤠
Is a feeling good a less tree the opposite to a sycamore tree
Speaking of professionals how’s logger wade doing?
there is nothing worst than getting splashed by the juice of a poison ivy vine, i have done it in my garden and come out looking like i got hit by a sluggers bat and ball too
Schwarzeneggerized!
I'm not one for heights......I've been up in a lift a few times, though I can't do that high. I know what you mean about the tree moving and the lift moving.....not a fan.
It appears there is little space around your World Headquarters. It is awful close to your neighbors from what you show. One has to wonder if they would prefer that old barn be gone.
👋🇬🇧😀
Thank you for twanging my vertigo. 🤢
