I have been paracording for ten plus years and I finally attempted this lanyard, your decretive knots always looked so complicated to me. But, I figured I have gotten really good at complicated weaves and other knots...so go ahead and try this. It didn't come out the best, but it didn't come out bad either. I am going to attempt the one strand lanyard / keychain this weekend. I am feeling confident.

I just finished this tonight and the result looks great. The only suggestion that I have is to find some way to secure the final working ends so that the turks head portion does not slide backward toward the small loop.

Great tutorial for the four strand braid, lost my mind during the Turks head. 🤯

Very nice! Once my needles and Martin spike come in I'm attaching one of these to my khukri...

Can’t wait to try this project, thanks for sharing. Because I was having trouble keeping the knots from sliding as I was trying to roll them, I took two equal size scrap boards and glued leather straps on to them with the rough side of the leather facing out. The rough surface of the leather keeps them from sliding and they roll easily.

Thanks for posting! Just a little suggestion, it would be really helpful if you added measures in metric units as well for us non-US viewers.
    Cheers!

vonsopas if you multiply the feet by 30, you get the length in cm. Hope this helps

If you wanted to make this bigger for a neck lanyard. Could you do that finishing/covering knot with all 4 strands besides cutting 2 off prior to starting?

If I don’t want to do the fancy not at the end how would I stop once I got my cord through to the top where the loop is?

I've been trying for weeks to follow the Turks Head, and I just can't seem to get it together. Does anyone have a recommendation for another tutorial that might make it clearer? The rest of this tutorial is great, I just can't get the final bit.

The beginning was not a problem but when had to do the knot at end that wrapped it up it was hard to do and follow. Is it possible to do from a different video or instruction other ways? I like the lanyard and would like to make and if possible do for others.
    If possible let me know.
    Thank you
