UA-cam is a powerful platform to learn anything and it is thanks to professionals that condense years of wisdom and knowledge into great vids like this, many thanks
This lady is a legend. "I'm going to complete the workflow. I'm going to close the gaps." Haha, love it.
Discussion - rather than Talked to SME/Technical architect/Developer
Iterative - rather than Design/Requirement (meeting)
Documentation - rather than post on Jira/Confluence
Presentation/Walkthrough
Complete the workflow or close the gaps - missed req.
Next step / Review - Come back to you
What would be helpful - We should do this
Thank you for taking notes for the meeting and listing points for reference. 😂
I particularly made a search on how so speak like a BA and only your video popped up on Google with the exact content I want. For someone transitioning from a totally different career path with a totally different lingo, this has been an immense help. Everyone just says to learn it but no one actually shows you the how. I wish you had more videos like this. Thank you so much
Thanks for watching and leaving this feedback. I will make more videos like these!
Totally love this video. You rock, Kara!

Just discovered your videos! Thank you, this is very helpful material :)
Love it and I learned so much :). Thank you
Excellent video, exactly what I'm looking for: day in the life experience.
Anyone can describe the position, but there are ways of doing things that are harder to capture.
This is good! Other terms that I thought of while watching and anyone reading this can apply it however they see fit. I thought of the terms demonstrate, assessed or assessment, recommendation.
Interesting, I really appreciate your thoughts and thanks for sharing.
Great Video! Thank you!

You are making a difference in many person's life Kara. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!!!
I agree!.
Thank you so much for your words of wisdom 😊#4 (I'll create documentation) is especially helpful, as many times me and my peers would get feedback to improve our communication in board meeting calls, because we weren't keeping it "high level" -- but no one would really explain what that truly meant. Now I understand what that actually means; being concise is more effective than being detailed in this case
There you go! Thats it!
In a strategic level conversation you have to be skillful enough to bring the point across without getting everyone bogged down in the minute details.
Glad this video was helpful for you!
Some how you are reading my mind with alllllll of your videos... buzz words etc i just dont hav that confidence yet.. but im working on it all even my code switching accent/tone/speed lol
Glad you like the video! Start switching out the words whenever you get a chance and after a while it will come naturally!

What type of question BA ask to stakeholders during workshops? How do you know the solution you advice is good .? My interviewer asked me these questions
Thank you so much for sharing these interview questions!
Hello, I would like to start a career in business analyst, would you please train me.
Hi Apata, Thank you for watching this video! Please go to my website www.karaleise.com and see the options there for training!
I really don't know what this vid is about ( regardless of its title ). If you are a BA......You Talk Like a BA!!!! Those who are in the know; and interviewing or meeting with a purported BA, hear through the spoken, and body language, through the wardrobe, etc...straight to the acumen. All the chucking out of "terms" does not make a BA!
It's the de-professionalization of everything. Might as well call this, "How to sound like a BA (even if you are not a BA)." The "fake it 'till you make it" mentality won't serve her audience well.
Smi? What 3:19 smi? Everybody knows what smi is ) sorry I didn’t get what you said
SME - it means "subject matter expert". These are the stakeholders who know the intricate operational details of whatever process/product/service your project is about. Thanks for watching and I hope that clears it up.
@@karaleise thank you so much
Yeah the zargonzz of B.A....
Thanks for watching Igho!
Am here. after whole day of using wrong vocabulary
