Australia's military should have been using these many years ago. Typically we choose the most expensive platforms and I can see the advantage in rapid altitude changes. I believe they will be based in Adelaide which seems a strange choice considering the lack of threat from our southern borders. Possibly because of logistics/support required. Wonder if they will have stores/hardpoints to carry weapons because if they are used outside of our borders other people will have the same thing...UAV/UAS dogfights. We also should have been using drones etc to patrol our beaches years ago.

Circumventing Australia, including Tasmania, along its coastline is "just" a (roughly) 13,000 km trip within 21-24 hours, for the MQ-4C.
Fuel types for the MQ-4C are: JP5, JP8, JP8+100, and TS1 Military Standard petroleum fuel types.

***** I am pretty sure there is a better way for protecting people with using this money in helping people and make a better World because if you look carefully most of troubles all around our beautiful planet are mostly linked to poverty.
Buying weapons is just the way politicians found for satisfying their rich and greedy friends. They are the only ones protecting here. Your family is not safe while governments makes bad decisions like that.

Great buy for Australian enemies & a dud for Australia. These drones can be easily taken down by a cheap Iranian missile launched from the back of a truck at the Chinese run Darwin port or West Australian Chinese operated air fields. Our defense people & politicians should hang their heads in shame. No offense or defense capabilities for this multi million dollar drone is just stupid beyond belief.
