I actually think you're right, no exaggeration. I watched film last week and I'm pretty sure that me or you could have came up with better play calls than the stupid crap he did. The only person who comes out of this looking worse than Gase is the Jets owner for hiring this guy. What the hell was he thinking?!?!
The tone of this video is amazing with the way it's narrated. Like it is literally channeling the despair that comes from the Jets. I feel sorry for players who are good and sadly have to deal with a head coach who detests self-accountability.
After the end of the Broncos/Jets game on Thursday Gase will never coach again. Purposely trying to injure a third string quarterback has to be the lowest a coach can stoop to.
Why were they throwing deep on consecutive plays with 15 seconds left to play or whatever it was. Got say that’s what you have coming if you want to play like that. They were just hitting the Ab hard. Not like they were taking out his knees.
@@JK-vc7ie They were trying to run the clock out after Gase frivolously used the Jets timeouts for no reason. They knelt 3 times and were just trying to end the game but Gase was a sore loser. They weren't trying to complete the deep balls, just run the clock, which is why Rypien spent so much time with the ball. Sure, they could have just punted it away, but why would you do that when you can burn as much time as possible? The Jets defense then purposely targeted Rypien with unessecerary cheap shots not once but twice. It was very clearly deliberate and dirty.
getting famous for being peyton mannings OC is like becoming famous for being ron jeremys fluffer. as a broncos fan it always blew my mind that anyone gave him ANY credit
@@edwardcardona717 - And, again, some of that credit has to go to Tom Moore for helping him. Peyton had huge numbers as a rookie with 26 TDs and just shy of 4k yards, but also a lot of sacks and fumbles and 28 picks. Tom helped him learn how to be an NFL QB and the details involved.
He's the anti Andy Reid, Reid has always evolved, uses tons of pre snap motion and has helped Mahomes grow every year. I don't understand why more coaches don't copy Reid's style of coaching x's and o's and relating to his players
What you see from Andy Reid now is the result of more than a decade of Philadelphian playoff torment. So many home playoff games lost. Wildcard after Wildcard into blown NFC Championship games and more. He worked with Donovan McNabb for his whole career, as well as Michael Vick for some of his best years. He knows QBs for sure
As a Dolphins fan, I can whole heartedly agree. When the Jets announced the hire, I both felt sorry for the fans, and passed for them. After the Rex Ryan fiasco, you would think they would have learned. Beating the Jets is nice, but nobody wants it handed to them.
Captain Bug Eyes is the most depressing, stubborn human being alive. He makes my 3 year old look like Mother Teresa. His first year in Miami had me hopeful, but it’s been an absolute dumpster fire every year since, no matter where he’s been. He refuses to adapt to the talent on the roster and insists his way is best. For the first time, and most likely the last, I actually feel bad for Jets fans.
24 hours later and the Jets put on one of the most undisciplined performances I have ever seen against my Broncos. Adam Gase hasn't deserved a job in the league in years, more so than ever right this moment
i track some jets channels and watch media clips. and when NON-jets fans are complaining about gase just as much as jets' fans, that SHOULD tell ownership to make a move. knowing them, the only move they make will be a fucked up move. but then again, jets already the worst, so they can't get any worse than that
They have since lost emphatically to the cardinals, to the Miami Dolphins without scoring a single point and to a weirdly suffering Bills offense that could only score Field Goals. The newest game was just a clinic by mahomes who just tore up the Jets defense with multiple 30+ yard Touchdowns and with 400+ passing yards in the game
This... this might be the perfect encapsulation of everything that I cannot stand about Adam Gase. You have done a service to Jets fans around the world... well done
Grew up in NJ and most people who talk crap about Jersey have never been there and think the whole state is just the turnpike, the shore and factories. It's called the garden state for a reason, it's beautiful, and I've lived in Virginia, Italy, New Mexico and California.
jamesmarhen yes, unfortunately. I don't know what's worse, seeing impossible plays being called, or easy plays executed poorly. My Eagles look terrible. Their offense has been simplified every week & still, they can't make it work. I think only 1 green team is allowed to be good at a time.
And the way his team acted during the end of the game was a disgrace to football. He has no control over that team whatsoever. He needs to be out of the NFL completely. How many young coaches aren't getting their chance to shine because of assholes like Gase that somehow get kept around for WAAAAAY too long.
Rypien played pretty damn good on short notice, the picks were bad but not gonna lie, Denver might have found a golden nugget if he can keep improving (reading coverages). He made some really great throws last night.
Your diagnosis of the problem as Gase's rigidity is spot on. During Thursday night's debacle against the depleted Bronco defense, Vic Fangio all but sent out a telegram every time his defense was blitzing. His two inside linebackers moved up to the line of scrimmage just as the defense set, giving Darnold plenty of time to audible for a quick screen or slant pass. However, Gase doesn't use audibles or pre-snap motion, so the blitz that everyone knew was coming was never picked up and Darnold was left with a play that I'm sure he knew was doomed to failure. This is why the Bronco defense turned into the '85 Bears, sacking Darnold 6 times and hitting him on another 10 plays. Any mediocre coach would have made an adjustment. Instead, Gase stood like a statue on the sideline with his face buried in the playbook, ignoring his players on the sideline as well as the action on the field, while his starting QB sustained a shoulder injury.
UPDATE: he lost to the Broncos, AKA Glass Oh no. Secondary Update: He still hasn't won, but is still not fired even though BoB and Dan Quinn have been fired. Jets, please. For everyone. Third update: Uh... where's Leveon Bell?
Why did the Jets even hire someone that looks like he's trying to hide how much coke he's had by not blinking? Seriously, dude always looks wired. Sam Darnold would have at least twice as many wins with any other NFL head coach I'm sure. And Who else would make Jamal Adams want to leave the Jets?

@Jack Louis Yeah he got his money, but it costed him his legacy and chance at competing in the playoffs, well he was rarely healthy for the postseason for the Steelers anyways lol
If anyone was taking cheap shots it was the Broncos throwing deep multiple times when the could have just done the victory formations and ended the game.
@@JK-vc7ie But they weren't throwing deep. The Jets kept calling timeout despite it being a two-score game. The tactic that's used to burn more clock time is to have the QB drop deeper and roll out towards the sideline, and throw the ball out of bounds. Watch more football, fam.
Make a video on the browns, they’re looking they’ve completely flipped the script, maybe the biggest help being their coaching change in hiring Stefanski. Great move👌

Darnold had so much potential to be molded into a great young quaterback, and he's flashed it at points with the Jets. But damn you look at him and he's panicking to pass rushes that aren't even there. He looks uncomfortable, he doesn't look confident, he looks traumatized, he looks like he doesn't trust anyone around him, and he just looks unhappy to be playing QB. He was a great prospect and the Jets chewed him up and spat him back out
D'antoni revolutionize offense twice in his career went to the Western Conference Finals twice and helped turn to really guards in all time great offensive machines that just so happened to win MVP's. These 2 things are not the same
I wouldn't consider Seattle's defense last. Obviously I'm biased but our defense is ok which is better than some teams. As far as we it fell off, the Legion of Boom left.
Adam Gase had two franchises that had talented players and completely ran them into the ground, and made them tanking franchises. Got rid of and couldn’t get along with talented players, tried to fit players into a scheme that doesn’t work, and he frequently misuses his players.
I really hope he’s going to be sacked after the (future) loss against the Broncos tonight And I’m not even a jets fan lmao, I want to see Darnold wins and a HC who trust him so he can show us his real potential as a starter QB in the league.
Jules Jules Hue Jackson just had a comically bad record there are a lot more comically incompetent head coaches when it comes to 1) pathetic blowout losses 2) locker room drama started by the coach. Adam Gase, unlike Hue Jackson or even a guy like Richie Kotite, checks both boxes, a select club of both incompetence and immaturity that includes guys like Tom Cable and Ray Handley
Coaches can make players but players can make coaches. The only reason that Adam Gase was hired by the Miami Dolphins to be a head coach was because of the offense he "coordinated" in 2013 -- the Broncos record-shattering offense lead by none other than Peyton Manning himself.
As a Broncos fan, I feel bad for the teams who thought they got a gem in Gase. Peyton WAS the offense, and I felt Gase didn’t have to actually do anything as a coordinator. If he called a play, Peyton would audible out of it because he read defenses like no other. Miami and the Jets bought a lemon. I felt like Aaron Rodgers and Matt LeFluer had the same effect on Nathaniel Hackett, and the Broncos were swindled in the exact same way.

I actually think you're right, no exaggeration. I watched film last week and I'm pretty sure that me or you could have came up with better play calls than the stupid crap he did. The only person who comes out of this looking worse than Gase is the Jets owner for hiring this guy. What the hell was he thinking?!?!
@@mikelomez9313 deadass run slants and dives all game and you would do better than Gase
Well said bud...i have too said the same things..lol
peyton would pat you on the head then audible out of your dumb play
when a team hires Adam Gase:
"So you've chosen... death"
Firefly567 Ok. I stand corrected. I didn’t see the game. Just the highlights. Did not know the Broncos actually tried to run it out.
getting famous for being peyton mannings OC is like becoming famous for being ron jeremys fluffer. as a broncos fan it always blew my mind that anyone gave him ANY credit
Same here’s man, when you have Payton as your qb he’ll make you look like a genius. Smh
Especially since his offense did nothing in the super bowl (still hurts)
To be fair, Tom Moore is/was really good and helped Peyton develop into an NFL QB.
@@PaulGaither This is late career Peyton though. He is the offense at this point
The best coaches are the ones who build their gameplans around the talent that already exists, not trying to force round pegs into square holes.
Adam Gase is the Dan Snyder of Headcoaches ...
or the Dean Spanos of coaching
Adam Gase hasn't deserved a job in the league in years, more so than ever right this moment
i track some jets channels and watch media clips. and when NON-jets fans are complaining about gase just as much as jets' fans, that SHOULD tell ownership to make a move. knowing them, the only move they make will be a fucked up move. but then again, jets already the worst, so they can't get any worse than that
@@mgtow-balance3409 dont count on it. When.u think the jets cant go an lower, they surprise all of us.. me at least
@@rthompson9652 yes you're right. i was being optimistic
They have since lost emphatically to the cardinals, to the Miami Dolphins without scoring a single point and to a weirdly suffering Bills offense that could only score Field Goals.

We don't need fake NY transplants looking for the nearest Starbucks. Keep shit talking us lol
Grew up in NJ and most people who talk crap about Jersey have never been there and think the whole state is just the turnpike, the shore and factories. It's called the garden state for a reason, it's beautiful, and I've lived in Virginia, Italy, New Mexico and California.
Gase: The play designs are perfect; the team just fails to execute.
Functional brain: Maybe design plays the team CAN execute?
You see that way too often. Coaches calling plays to show how smart they are not necessarily the best plays for their team.
jamesmarhen yes, unfortunately. I don't know what's worse, seeing impossible plays being called, or easy plays executed poorly. My Eagles look terrible. Their offense has been simplified every week & still, they can't make it work.
I think only 1 green team is allowed to be good at a time.
As a Dolphins fan, I can confirm that this dude's one good year (2016) was solely because we had an easy schedule and overplayed our talent.
Plus Jay Ajayi running over everything in his sight.
Gase fail forward yet Eric Bieniemy can’t find a head coaching gig.
I think Bieniemy wanted to stay on at least one more year with Chiefs... that's how I remember it anyway
To be fair it's hard to tell how much of Bienemy's success is due to him and how much of it is due to Mahomes being a god
@@cmd31220 That, AND, how much of it is Andy Reid.
Cause he's black
Bengals should've hired him over Taylor.
Add Robby Anderson to that list of players exploding after leaving a Gase offense
The end of tonight's game showed everyone what a piece of work this guy is.
And the way his team acted during the end of the game was a disgrace to football. He has no control over that team whatsoever. He needs to be out of the NFL completely. How many young coaches aren't getting their chance to shine because of assholes like Gase that somehow get kept around for WAAAAAY too long.
To think I was about to go to bed at 3 am, but then this gem arrives...
(I'm a Vikings fan, so call this schadenfreude for Gase)
If Denver wins today and Gase is fired, the Jets should build a statue of Rypien
lmao
So when should they call the sculptor
Rypien played pretty damn good on short notice, the picks were bad but not gonna lie, Denver might have found a golden nugget if he can keep improving (reading coverages). He made some really great throws last night.
Well, one of those things happened.
@@i_i8924 looked too raw. Even his td pass to joudy should have been picked. Went right through the cb like a madden glitch
Here is what I’ll say about Gase, when they hired him I was like “what?”
UPDATE: he lost to the Broncos, AKA Glass
Oh no.
Secondary Update: He still hasn't won, but is still not fired even though BoB and Dan Quinn have been fired. Jets, please. For everyone.

Great move👌

This video aged amazingly
Darnold had so much potential to be molded into a great young quaterback, and he's flashed it at points with the Jets. He looks uncomfortable, he doesn't look confident, he looks traumatized, he looks like he doesn't trust anyone around him, and he just looks unhappy to be playing QB. Man, as a 'Phins fan I couldn't agree more with this video @Set the Edge!
Adam Gase had two franchises that had talented players and completely ran them into the ground, and made them tanking franchises. Got rid of and couldn’t get along with talented players, tried to fit players into a scheme that doesn’t work, and he frequently misuses his players.
I feel for Jets fans. They are where the Raiders were at in the early 00's.
After tonights game, this seem to age well.
Jets should try and hire Eric Bienemy, that dude is long overdue for a head coach job.

To Set the Edge, you should be hired somewhere like at ESPN or at Fox Sports. Your analysis is awesome. Great job. I always enjoy your videos.
Imagine watching the Broncos in the Super Bowl in 2013 score a total of 8 points and thinking, “we gotta hire that guy!”
