Thanks! Unfortunately someone snatched it up before i got to make another video on it. You can see some as finished pictures on my instagram before I delivered it!
sometimes its not the rear window seals, most of the time is the window sash and the small rubber washers that get warn out.... see here... ua-cam.com/video/2YbuycO30ww/v-deo.html
I was recently given the option to buy one of these for only a couple thousand and only 100000 miles, but it has been sitting for years. I love these cars but am afraid as I have no mechanic experience and am scared I’ll get taken advantage by dishonest mechanics. . .
I will say that parts are more difficult to find and more expensive then your typical toyota. They are not especially difficult to work on though and there is obviously a huge following and knowledge base. I typically dont reccomend people buy project cars unless they are going to work on them themselves or have a trustworthy mechanic and a blank check. Depending on the condition its hard to lose money on these though if bought right.
@@wheelsforgotten9049 yeah I'm on the fence now either buying a well maintained somewhat built 80 with around 200k Miles for 15K Plus or find a nice one that needs some TLC I've seen a couple for under 7K with 200k or less miles bodies in really good shape no rust interiors are a little fugly how they get. Just need basic tune-ups for the most part, maintenance on aging parts but everything is solid and I am thinking of going that route and doing the work myself to get it where it needs to be
Well done. These TLCs can run a long way when taken care of. Looking forward to part 3!

There are water drainage holes in the front of the sunroof . make sure they are clear . They can cause leakage into the vehicle if they are clogged.
Came clean 👍
Awesome work. Good job
Thanks I appreciate it
The rear is carpeted the same as the front. There is a layer of jute under the carpet that basically disintegrates.
Yeah, figured that out. Tried to find an oem piece, ended up having my local carpet store make me one. Turned out nice.
Japanese engineers came up with that … LOL
