Veteran player here with some tips, with over 700 hours of playing the last 3 STALKER games. 1) Turn off your flashlight off at night if you don’t need it. NPCs can see it from far away and will engage you. Use night vision once you get it. Careful with the ones that have night vision though. 2) shoot the lights out, and stay in the shadows. NPC’s have a hard time seeing in the dark as well. 3) you don’t have to pick up every gun you see, if it’s under 40% condition you cannot sell it, you’re just draining your stem in the bar faster.
@@JappaChow not my experience. I checked this just an hour ago. It definitely costs more to repair a badly damaged weapon then what you get for selling it.

My experience so far: crash 12 times trying to cache shaders. Keep telling me the game is verified, but at the 4th attempt download 34 gigs, crash again during patch due to corrupted files. Then boot the game, but auto-connect a controller that isn't even connected crashing the game. Then reboot, having to wait again on the shaders. Get into the game, for some magic reason, the graphics are pre-set on epic. Performance is atrocious. Change the graphics, be forced to reboot again. Game has to redo the same 15 minutes of shader loading. After downloading for 4 hours, attempting to play for almost 2,5 hours I finally get to play the game for 2 minutes, realize I still have to tweak the settings. Try to go change settings, game crashes. Reboot, change settings, reboot again, more waiting on shader loading (...). Get to play the game until you fight the poltergeist. Graphics are noticably worse than before, but seems to run 40-60 fps on medium to high settings. After downloading the game I've spend 15 minutes playing the game. Almost refunded it twice.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a masterpiece. The story’s gripping, the Zone is hauntingly atmospheric, and the gunfights are top-notch. It’s tough, rewarding, and insanely immersive. Huge respect to GSC Game World, a Ukrainian studio, for delivering this gem despite the challenges they’re facing. Absolute must-play!
I know right, as a veteran I get so pissed. The moment I heard it, I know that this “journalist” knows nothing about the game and is just doing it for clicks.
Loving the game but the fact that they think these visuals warrant such ridiculously high hardware is laughable. This shit looks like any other cookie cutter game visually speaking. Nothing special whatsoever. Like, when I saw the specs (and the screenshots -_-) I knew better than to think "omg this is going to be soooooo gorgeous" yet there I was saying exactly that. Idk why I thought GSC would be any different bullshit-wise than other devs. If this game was properly optimized, it could run perfectly on a 2060super and 16 ram. But no, they instead insist that you have a fucking juice cannon of a setup to run mid graphics. Really upsets me. Game is cool though, deff a nostalgic kick in the teeth in a good way.
For sure I have a 2080s and the it’s like a jet engine compiling on every start up. I have tuned things in to get decent play experience hope nvda helps em out with some optimization
@@mikeyswift2010 pro tip for you 2080 S users, reduce your voltage / power using the overlay. My Gpu was cooking at 85 degrees until I started reducing the power. It doesn't affect performance but massively reduced temperatures and the fan noise. I'm playing Stalker 2 at 50% power, 120fps and it's 61 degrees. If I up it to above 75% power the temperature goes up to 88 but fps or performance does not improve at all. In fact I suspect that if I ran it at 100% at 90 degrees, performance would actually be worse.
@@mikeyswift2010 I also have msi afterburner set to 50% power because my pc sometimes prioritises one program over the other and defaults to 100%. 1. dont bleed out..... NO CRAP... give some better tips dude not the obvious... people are so fast to jump and make videos right when games come out and end up making stupid videos on things we already knew
Even under Russia terrifying attacks they didn't give up on the game, I dont mind weather the game will flop or not, the studio already have my Respect.
Press V to melee bash with your gun, so you don't have to switch to knife on every boxes. It's hard coded, not in keybinding settings. If you mapped V to other thing... congratulations, you've lost such great ability!
The reason Stalker doesn't tell you not to bleed out is because it's expecting its audience to have common sense. I realise this video is capitalising on the lack of that in society today.
I think people who are saying its laggy nd stuff js got shitty pcs cuz I havent lagged a SINGLE time, no screen tears, nothing js pure beautiful gameplay
ha, so a i7-12700K, 32GB, 4070TI is a shitty PC, I see ... what would I need to get a decent performance in this game then? ... anyway - I hope the next update will fix the many issues I have encountered in the 1 hour I have been playing. I will definitely go back once that is fixed.
@@jkristia9478 Sadly the devs seem to have not bothered with actually working on optimisation and left it to AI up scaling and frame generation to "work". I don't have a top end pc for today's games, 2080s and 3700x, I can play games with equally as good graphics in 2k resolution without DLS or frame generation at higher than 60fps. The fact the game coats AAA price and I have to downgrade graphics and use AI generation just to get a basic working 60fps is outrageous. If this game was made by Hungarians it would be getting 5s across the board. The amount of leniency and cope being shown towards all the bugs and the terrible performance is insane.
Game isn’t anything special so far. Shooting is okay. Ai does a lot of damage. There’s no sneaking. Literally snuck behind a enemy n knifed him n every one was alerted n knew my location

I wish I had known there wasn’t any night vision in the game. Legit probably wouldn’t have bought it. Creeping around slowly with night vision was my favorite part of the previous games. Now I can’t do that at all. Even the flashlight is bad. Especially bad because of how fast the day/night cycle is. I don’t know why they made the choices they did with that. Really disappointing.
Well with they didn't tell u. That on a 4090 with 4k at high settings it's goes below 60 fps. It's bugging and crashing. To be able to play at 4k 60. U need 4k high settings dlss and help with frame generation. . Their is a pc review already
I would like to see DayZ style magazine loading. I'm not a fan of the magic reload, shooting a ¼ clip and magically pooling together the rest of the ammunition. Especially in a game that values immersion.
Mods will fix all of the areas that lack attention of detail, just look at how good Anomaly is with its visor wiping and all the little immersive additions that make the game feel great to play.
damn stalker 2 has such a good tutorial and UI that every single "tip" in this video was just obvious stuff And the fuck was going on in this house 2:00 everyone is shooting at each other for 10 seconds point blank and nobody dies? Repair cost way to much, i just throw them away and pick up another weapon when they break....it can be hard earn money for repair all your stuff when you not even can carry everything you find because of the weight/inventory system.
I had an extremely unfortunate time with this game, but I’m gonna give it another try cause I can tell it was a well made game. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
People talk about bugs but I don't see bugs. I think it is inferior system specs that can't run the game properly that's the true culprit here. If you can't afford a high-end machine that's fine but don't claim the game has bugs
Question mostly about weapons but applies to armor too, can weapons be repaired indefinitely? Or will they eventually wear out completely? Second question, well I'm sure that armor will get progressively better, can early game weapons be viable in the late game? Or does stalker do that typical video gamey thing where around the second half of the game you'll suddenly find magically better weapons of either the same type or different that just somehow do more damage?
First question Yeah you can repair indefinitely. Second not sure but I wouldn't want to use a double barrel shotgun or mp5 forever, I did use the AK for a long time since it was so reliable.
I keep getting killed by packs of dogs and packs of wild boars literally can't walk around without getting hurt is this normal I was expecting a lot more creatures and ppl trying to kill you but for me it's really nothing going on.

A Tarkov style game in the Zone with anomalies and mutants would be awesome
@@darcinek Tarkov has no HUD by default and Stalker seems to have one. Curious why you say that :)
To those with the means but waiting for perfection-consider this:
This game could be the "Game of Your Life," one you’ll mod and love forever. But greatness needs support. By helping the developers now, while they’re still building, you could fuel their vision and turn potential into reality.
What if they’re on the brink of collapse, unable to finish without your help? Don’t wait for perfection-help create it.
And I thought Captain Obvious was obvious...
So far got 12 hours in and only encountered one bug where I was holding a bot and artifact finder tool and I tried opening my inventory and it broke the game. Couldn’t drint, heal or open my inventory again. I reloaded back to a quick save and it fixed it. This game is if tarkov and fallout had a baby. Thats a compliment btw
im actually shocked it runs good on the series s
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is a masterpiece. The story’s gripping, the Zone is hauntingly atmospheric, and the gunfights are top-notch. It’s tough, rewarding, and insanely immersive. Huge respect to GSC Game World, a Ukrainian studio, for delivering this gem despite the challenges they’re facing. Absolute must-play!
A side note on the unlimited bolts, you can use them to also distract the human ai.
2:54 It’s called a “magazine”
I know right, as a veteran I get so pissed. The moment I heard it, I know that this “journalist” knows nothing about the game and is just doing it for clicks.
I came to the comments as soon as I heard it lol

I've been running like this for over a year and had no issues. I play a lot of graphic / action intensive games and the gpu runs fine at near 100% utilisation. No idea how it works but honestly it saved me during summer months and I no longer have to listen to those damn fans going crazy!
I'm not a big fan of survival games or shooters for that matter but something about this game is super intriguing to me idk what it is but I might buy it.
I only encounter one bug after 4 hours of gameplay. Game is really good and scary so far
First game I have wanted to play all day and call out of work for, in a very long time.
I would say those who are experienced at tactical shooters will probably be at a decent advantage here
1. dont bleed out..... NO CRAP... give some better tips dude not the obvious... people are so fast to jump and make videos right when games come out and end up making stupid videos on things we already knew
It doesn't tell you the game will run like shit when you exceed the recommended specs on PC either.
I wouldn’t say like shit . I’ve seen videos about it it doesn’t look like it runs like shit .
cry about it
You wish you knew not to bleed out? It teaches you that in the intro
Even under Russia terrifying attacks they didn't give up on the game, I dont mind weather the game will flop or not, the studio already have my Respect.
10 hours in, loving it. Ive had a bug or two on the series x, but nothing a reload didnt help. SAVE OFTEN, just in general.
I'm "triggered" every time you say "clip". They aren't clips. They are called "magazines".
you know what he means though at the end of the day
Is it possible to play this game with mouse and keyboard or do you have to use a game controller?
All good comments. But if you played Stalker before, none of this is new. But admittedly, I forgot about smashing boxes.
9hours in the only bug I encountered was the over encumbered one pro tip don’t die in the prologue
Press V to melee bash with your gun, so you don't have to switch to knife on every boxes.
It's hard coded, not in keybinding settings.
If you mapped V to other thing... congratulations, you've lost such great ability!
All I ask for from the devs is a dead zone slider so the Xbox players can play the game without fighting stick drift
Doesn’t the game tell you about bleeding like right away?
Game is fun as hell! Hopefully they don't scrap multiplayer though
The performance is the most dangerous thing in this game, the rest are typical fps and post apocalyptic things
The game is great but when the performance and AI issues will be resolved, it will be freaking great!
The reason Stalker doesn't tell you not to bleed out is because it's expecting its audience to have common sense. I realise this video is capitalising on the lack of that in society today.
Theres a tutorial tip for bleeding...
I figured out the bleeding mechanic pretty quickly without the game telling me how to. Biggest thing was figuring out the controls on Xbox.
Man, you must be super duper smart dude. 👍 Really cool comment.
@@soulveska let me guess, DLSS in 1080p on all medium or low settings, 30fps lock?
Game runs great for me in 4k and looks amazing in hdr on my c3 oled, but I do have a 7800x3d / 4090 with 64gb of ram.
I love learning from my mistakes, thanks anyway
So far have been enjoying it yes it’s challenging but not overwhelming at least for me 👍
Also save scum as much ya can
Wait until you meet one of the completely invisible enemies
Thanks! Can`t wait to play it!
Every channel now after Playing game for 2 minutes and watching alot of reviews- 99 things i wished i knew... Before i ruined my walkthrough xD 😂
ESO actually made a great starter video for easy loot locations and starter tips.
"Unload Clips" - On PC - Easy, now try that on console :/ The whole inventory system interface is 100% designed for PC users.
Man that console UI is uuuuuugly lol.
Game isn’t anything special so far. Shooting is okay. Ai does a lot of damage. There’s no sneaking. Literally snuck behind a enemy n knifed him n every one was alerted n knew my location
XBOX might have one with this one. DAMN!! I don't have one either!!
Xbox live broski!
If you can, join the family. Yeah, Xbox may not have the titles that PlayStation does but they do have their good few. if you love gaming, there is no silver lining, game on EVERYTHING! Series s is a nice cheap insert into the next gen at a good price, but the series x is worth it.
@no-lobesmagee1866 I'm definitely thinking about it.
Finally a W for Xbox, so many underwhelming day one releases but stalker 2 is a certified banger
imagine this game with bodycam graphics...
I hope a mod comes out
Why though?
I don't want to play a camera.
Do you see your world only through a camera? 😅
I wish I knew that the developers didn't prefer to expand their player base!
Well with they didn't tell u. That on a 4090 with 4k at high settings it's goes below 60 fps. It's bugging and crashing. To be able to play at 4k 60. U need 4k high settings dlss and help with frame generation. . Their is a pc review already
"Don't fight everything " coward
The game was released like two days ago. A video like this is so pointless and cringe.
This video's editing felt as janky as the game itself. Are these made with AI or some shit? Lmao
damn stalker 2 has such a good tutorial and UI that every single "tip" in this video was just obvious stuff
And the fuck was going on in this house 2:00 everyone is shooting at each other for 10 seconds point blank and nobody dies? Even stormtroopers would be able to kill things in these conditions.
15 things I wish I knew.....not already knew
Repair cost way to much, i just throw them away and pick up another weapon when they break....it can be hard earn money for repair all your stuff when you not even can carry everything you find because of the weight/inventory system.
I had an extremely unfortunate time with this game, but I’m gonna give it another try cause I can tell it was a well made game. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
What I mean is getting auto killed from very beginning enemies.
Hate to say it but just keep at it you will get good eventually. Don’t give up
It certainly does not tell you how badly it is optimized
08:52 basically don't play like this guy. 😂 the epitome of, "do as I say, not as I do.". 😅
People talk about bugs but I don't see bugs. I think it is inferior system specs that can't run the game properly that's the true culprit here. If you can't afford a high-end machine that's fine but don't claim the game has bugs
#1 should be press L for a damn flashlight.
Scape from tarkov but single player and you have a +200% incoming dmg debuff
Let enemies fight it out is the same as don't fight everything.
If these are the kind of tips people need to find out about on UA-cam, STALKER 2 is not a game for you.
I'm on a r7 7600 with a rx7600 and running great so far at 1080p
My game is so frickin dark on Xbox. I can’t see anything at night. Hopefully it gets fixed
took me 4 hours to download.
Took me 15 minutes
Your netwerk sucks
@@zenphondamn lucky you mine took an hour and a half to download not as bad as 4 hours but 15 mins holy shit

Great video!
Any ideas on how to fix psi radiation as I’ve been stuck with constant headaches in game
15 Things It Doesn't Tell You...
Thanks, only 932 things to go
I have a 4090, and it ran like dog shit with DLSS turned on.
Same
I have a 3080ti. I runs flawless at 80 fps with dlss on performance
I have an expensive Sony I’m playing on now but I’m getting an oled this weekend just to enjoy this more
game is hard as hell its awsome
Anyone know how to switch fire modes on weapons?
Tell me you're not a Stalker fan without telling me you're not a Stalker fan. Play the oldies, then anomaly and gamma, then you can cry.
