this game has SO many fighting mechanics that i don't even know what to do and i barely remember any of them
Real
exactly lmao I played bt3 when it first came out and the other tenkaichi but coming back and realizing how vast this game is and learning new combos and mechanics is crazy to me
Dude not gonna lie my first play through was just punch super and ultimate attack so was my 2nd playthrough i swear to god only on my 3rd playthrough i learned how grab people
@@Jest_jot i've decided to give this game another shot. i believe i've got all the tutorials in the mind, but i can't even do anything to raditz on the first level. bro's beating me like a mashed potato 💀
Replaying on steamdeck I had the 2nd one and this all seems way too overwhelming mind you I mastered both xenonerses
Getting ready for sparking zero because i know itll be impossible to play with sweats from budokai tenkaichi 3 playing
sorry to inform you that this guide won't be useful for Sparking Zero since they removed the free dash
how to deflect ? like what do i press ?
@@Yann1010pretty sure it’s circle got to time it
@@Yoskii1235 Still important to learn the basics of offense because the combo structure is the same. Learning how to do step ins, safe attacks, back turn stuff, etc. is all important.
@@DrOutside that's the thing we dont know again, combo game looks similar but no one tells us that, the mechanics will be the same
Recently got Budokai Tenkaichi 4 (Fanmade) to get the hang of the mechanics again and this helps a ton.
Same!
I got it today shit is lit
@@Rocka7038how do you download it?
@@DavonteWilliams-wv4uxlong story. You first need an emulator (PCSX2) then you need ps2 bios, then you need to download the mod
Where do i get the BT4
Getting ready for Sparking Zero, so a video like this is very helpful. Excellent choice of music, nothing like Shenmue to get you in the mood for training.
Dude u guys have no idea how long I've been tryna figure out the sonic sway technique , and since I didn't know what it was called, that only made it harder😭thx so much for the vid😁
This is perfect tutorial music defenitely reminds me of days as a kid grinding in the lab discovering new methods
I'm waiting for Sparking Zero. Have a friend who I played BT3 religiously with back in the day. Best in the neighborhood in all honesty. I've been hoping SZ would be very similar and it seems like it may be after watching the most recent trailer. Definitely aiming for leaderboard status when it drops. DBZBT3 is one of the best games I've ever played and enjoy.
Nice work, never knew that fact about emergency blaster wave doing 2500 after 20 hits
1:05 Regarding Ascending/Descending in the Step-in barrier, this only holds true if you haven't been put in a combo yet; whoever is attacking you will be able to stop & ascend/descend freely, whereas the attackee will have to initiate it before you can actually move.
Gracias mi bro siempre se agradece contenido nuevo.
Me and the homie played BT3 last night via emulator and parsecs. Only the memories. We had take like 20 mins just figure out basic mechanics again 😂. Granted when we did start fighting forrreal we had a blast. All we do was mash around and super mainly. I had no idea there were so many mechanics in this game. Granted I was also a teenager when this game came out. Even in 2024 the game holds up surprisingly well and it’s fun.
Man I’ve been trying to download it but with no success, could you tell me how you did it ?
I've never played this game but have played Raging Blast 2 (Always wondered just how different both series are) and I can still appreciate how many fundamentals there are in this game on a high level. It's so cool that BT3 just has its own rules for players to follow and understand and I'd also imagine this game can be welcoming for casuals as much as it can for pros, meaning two casuals going up against one another can be just as fun to watch as two pros doing the same.
Sparking Zero is going to blow our minds for sure. The end of 2024 is going to be a wild one.
Excellent video
This is so well made
Are you going to do one for Sparking Zero?
Great Tutorial Vid 👍💯
I would like to see a guide on "competitive" use of lower tier characters focused maybe on the larger characters and abusing brickwall. Obviously not good because of the ease of going behind, Maybe there is ways to abuse jumping in the more terrain areas of the map.
muito bom man, vou praticar.
I get why this is exist but back in the day you just had to play it and learn and boy do I remember every single button control to this day😭
Thankyou so much now i can learn the basic and fundamental of fightig style, to bee honest i only know anime games fogjting style like naruto storm that i play from 1 until 4 it was fun...now i gotta learn new basic things and it was fun❤❤❤❤❤
I played this game so much as a child and with sparking zero coming out I found a way to emulate it and I am on my training arc for them upcoming sweats.
Very good bro nice vid
gonna start watching guides for sparking zero imma be on top
Nice video
I pulled out my ps2 and got the hdmi adapter and am currently knocking the dust off of this game to get ready for Sparking Zero🎉 wish we can have this on the playstation store though so i can play it on my ps5
That’s exactly what I’m doing
Flanking is goddamn wild I love you nerds
Yooo I couldn’t believe my eyes
great video thank you
Nice video, Paige here I go
Gotta love that Shenmue music
If they hold block you can do 2 things grab them or press attack then press O while moving left or right you will tp to the side then they can't counter really works mainly for the max power mode cuz you can get good combos
great info this music drives me insane though
I just got bt3 on dolphin emulator and its fighting mechanics are hard ASF 💯 im used to fighter Z and Xenoverse 2 and kakarot, completely different animal bt3 is, i love it though, its the best DB game ive ever played 💯🔥🔥🔥
I'm going to make something like this with voice over and connecting these mechanics in the moment
how much i missed playing this game
W video
Please come out with an intermediate then a expert guide eventually. Great vid!
Hey dude your game looks beautiful could you please explain how you pulled that off? thanks for the great content !
I used Dolphin Emulator on my laptop, it's linked in the description 👍
How do you back step dodge? The AI does it to me all the time and it’s the only move I can’t figure out.
I'm having trouble executing the dash cancels on the wii version, it just does a vertical/descending dragon dash, is there something I'm missing? Please pardon me I'm awfully new to all this stuff.
The only advice I can really give is to get the Instant Dragon Dash down first, to the point you can do it without thinking. That's all the tech requires really.
It works exactly like PS2 of you are using Game Cube controller options. Also on the Wii the default game cube control 1-2 on the default settings are different.
Set it to gamecube controller and map the buttons (ingame options) to how it is like on PS2.
Yo controllers aren’t working on steam deck any help would be appreciated
is there a way for me to download this i have a pc
What is background music
One thing I've wondered is, when you are doing a combo involving stuff like the step-in attack and the flying kicks, can someone just start guarding them despite having gotten hit beforehand, or is that only a thing the AI does?
anything the cpu can do, a human can do
I see. Curious how it pulls it off, cause sometimes it just seems to happen for no reason, and when I am placed in the same scenario I can't replicate it
@@doomman7349 it's simply because the moves are blockable, something being "safe" only means it can't be vanished, there's other defensive options for stuff in the game though
@@creatful_chaosCan you tell me what that combo is where you block a blow and then teleport behind your opponent and hit him?
thats called a Z-counter@@Medlium384
If only team bt4 made the mod for wii version as well.
All I want to know is how to vanish when being attacked. I see the CPU vanishing behind me when I hit them so how do I do it to them? And no, pressing circle doesn't work.
Yes, pressing circle DOES work. The timing is your problem (and mine, I can’t nail Z counters for shit). If you’re playing the classic BT3, you only have a couple frames as an attack is hitting you to press circle to vanish it. If you’re playing team BT4’s mod, I believe they made it slightly easier by extending the frames available where you are able to vanish. The timing is INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TO MASTER. Keep trying in a duel against high difficulty com and eventually you’ll do it. Took me 20 mins just to get one.
@@Kevdawg516Thank you man. I've since learned how to do it properly. now I know how to do it.
@@Kevdawg516it’s so funny cause as a kid I guess I just played it so much that I had that shit down like the cpus now I feel like a dumbass cause I can’t pull them off.
4:03 How do you do the crazy fast ki blasts in a combo?
I just chained together all the Ki Blasts you can use, Standard, Dash Ki Blasts and Ascendinf Ki Blasts
BRO HOW TO DEFLECT LIKE WHAT IS THE TOUCH ??
Bro i didnt even know half these techs exists wtf
Holy hell is that some Shenmue music I hear?!
God im playing with a ps5 controller and all the buttons that show r wii buttons and it fucks me up alot
You need to release sparking zero videos rn! Don’t be slow
difference between > an +?
> Meaning before you press another button
+ Meaning while you press another button
Yo what song is this lol
what's mean > / ?
4:09
does getting behind opponent give advantage?
Yes you deal more damage and they have lesser defensive options
I thought this was playstation, Was this WII this whole time?
Me not knowing how to play so I press random buttons till I figure it out
Hi, trying to learn the game, can anyone please tell me how to do that fast ki blast combo at 4:04 ? thanks.
Learn how to do Dash and Ascnding Ki Blasts, you'll be able to do it.
@@creatful_chaos ascending ki blasts was it, took me ages to find it out, also, how is everyone playing competitive online? Are they all on Ps2? Because im using a pc emulator.
@@11--------- check the description
@@creatful_chaosdoesn't say in the description
hey do you play online? if yes, are you interested in a match? I'll have to setup online though.
If you want to get matches in I recommend you join the discord servers, they should be in the description
will this help for sparking zero
Maybe

And yet i still cant get past raditz on easy...
I hated playing this game growing up. My cousins were so good but i wasn't. mostly because there is no attack button. Every attack is hidden behind an arbitrary button combo. And with a lack of tutorials this game is not beginner friendly. Unlike other games where you learn from your mistakes, there is no feed back loop. It never felt like i was getting better, basically this game told me I sucked and there was nothing I could do about. I still hate this game.
There's literally a tutorial in game
