- Welcome to our channel Howe Happenings. This project has been 8 months in the making. "Dear Dad" is based on a dark chapter in my life that hurt me really bad. I didn't know how to let those feelings out of my body and soul, so I went to one of my best friends for help. Tanner Howe is an extremely talented song writer and artist. Music is therapy for me and this song has helped me release any pain and anger I had left in me. I will go into more detail on that process in a Documentary coming out next week. I truly hope you all enjoy this song, if you have been through a similar situation I hope this song can help you heal and move on, if you haven't I'm sure you can share it with someone who has. Perfect song. Especially hurt when your dad drops you like bad habit. After you had to say good bye to your own son. He basically just left and hasnt been seen. But he loves my step mom. Family
my dad was too busy messed up on drugs and lied constantly and made me lie awake at night wondering why he didn't want me. now I'm a father and doing my best to show my kids dad's gonna always gonna be there.

I’m so sorry for anyone that had to go thru this… just know your not alone I’m going thru this too I’m only 14 and my dad is like this. I’m better off with my mother. He lied to me for all my years to make me cry he thinks it’s funny until I have a heart attac. He made me cry so much, by telling me things that happened even tho it assent true😭😭

My dad left me at 10 years old. It is so hard because he made so many memories with me and then just threw them away. But I just turned 14 and i had the worst birthday without him because now I am more aware of everything

Honey look forward to the life to come, do great in school, learn a great trade and when you have your children love them like you never thought you could. take them to all the things you enjoyed during the time you did have with your dad and live for your children. And bury those lonely times without him. Young man you are so loved my last son who is now 23 didn't meet his father till he was 13 and told me he'd be fine in life without him, i guess he saw he didn't need him and now my son is in the Navy and is also entering the police academy to be able to give his future kids a better life don't allow those memories to bring you down you are somebody and can do it all yourself!

I remember getting goosebumps when you told me about this project prior to filming and my first thought was how I grew up in a similar environment and how traumatic it was. I'm glad I'm over it and all is forgiven but for many it's not the same, for some scars run deep and for others they still bleed. This is definitely a message to all and it needs to be heard (P. S.
