Great work, very creative! Was surprised you didn't close up the notch for the starter with some plate. Seems like it will be a great place for water and debris to collect...
Great Build. Gotta love these old Gravelys. Im now down to one just recently sold six and a whole trailer load of implements. Thanks for taking us along on your channel.
Well, Jake, That was a boogerish looking rig before but NOW it looks like you took a 4-banger out and stuck a BIG block in it. And a 409 at that, not just some ordinary big block, something with some character, like the V-6!!! NICE work! Hope nothing cut into your picking time either and Pop is a good consultant! Looks like a little green tinge on the maple sprouts so here comes the mower/trimmer rush! Thanks and pick me one when you get time!
And just as equally expensive to buy parts for as a V6!! Well I have to credit him fore some of the builds I/we've done here over the years. We seem to conjure up some pretty good ideas when we put out heads together... Cut into my pickin' time?! Don't you remember what Brisco Darlin once said... "Got time to breathe, got time for music".
@@5Tractorguy 10/4 on Brisco and yall do good work. I end up doing a lot of thinking and praying over my stuff and might end up changing as I go. A plan is a plan but can be, as David Haley said, 'Cobblefied'! Pick on, Bro! Pile the guitar pickers up in the corner with their arms burnt off like stove wood! That's the way I was done and the 5-stringers just grinned and sped up!
If you can find one for a good price grab it. I picked this one up for $250 back in 2009+/-... was well worth the money. We've built/repaired more tractors on that thing.
@@5Tractorguy So just noticed rewatching this series cause I'm bored and cold today. The K321 you pulled off the 4wd Gravely, Is that the hydraulic drive pulley for a 200 series John Deere you used to run the pump on it ? I'm looking for one so I can put hydro lift in my JD212.
@@FullMetalFab That was a flywheel driveshaft coupler from a JD, but the pulley I just sandwiched up against it with a bolt (forgot how the bolt attached to the crank). It worked, but had a little wobble to it. I know what you're after though... might have one of those pulleys on a Kohler out back. I'll check next time I'm rummaging around.
Great job as usual Jake. Where and when is the first show you will be attending with the 4x4? I'm not too far from you and would really enjoy seeing it in person.
Thanks. The first one is a little out of my realm, I'll be in Watsontown PA at PA plow day April 26th and 27th. After that, the only other show it'll be going to is Straw Hollow in Boylston MA. If you're in the central MA area and want to stop in, let me know and I can get my contact info to you.
Thanks Dennis! I was thinking about that, figured it will. Fortunately though both ends of that square tubing are open so once I start driving up an incline, the water will run out.
Nice job ( of course!) But I'm looking at that short body spin on oil filter in the ONAN,...how do you remove that easily, or is this a temporary one until you get a longer filter for this?
Thanks Reg... Well I thought I had a longer one in stock! But apparently I didn't... so when it comes time to change it, I can pull the side shroud off the cylinder head and grab it with channel locks. And then replace it with the longer style!
Appreciate the offer but I will pass. Have a whole pallet full out back... best bet would be to post it on CL or FB marketplace about mid way through spring.

Love to see the results when a swamp yankee puts his mind to something . Good work Jake.
Hey thanks Russ!
I would love to get hold of one of the Onan engines. No project just yet, but having an engine to tinker with would be awesome.

Wow. I am really liking this tractor
Great unique machine you show some very good skills building it
Thanks Dennis
Enjoyed watching your skills and creative mix . RRR , reduce , reuse , recycle .
Thanks Montie.
It's coming along nicely!

Very nice work! Gonna be a beast!
You got that ol Kohler tuned where it’ll run real low. Nice work.
Thanks Leo
Looking good! Can only imagine what you would do in a larger shop. Silly me, you'd fill it with more projects 😁
Hahaha more projects and more builds! I know one thing, the '64 GMC restoration would start again. Can't wait until that truck is done...
this Frankenstein is awesome! I never knew that steering hydraulics looked like that
Thanks Kevin!
Awesome stuff. Super impressed with the build
Hey thanks Phil!
Good stuff keep it coming.
More to come Eric.
I so want that lift in my shop. I have a DIY overhead crane but a drive on lift would be so nice for wrenching on my tractors.

@@5Tractorguy if you can do that it be great. My 200 series hydro lift was incomplete but cheap enough I couldn't pass up getting.

Great job Jake! Since you cut open the square tubing do you think water can get trapped in there that needs to be drained out?

Great job...as usual! Jake...you wouldn't have a DB you want to sell, do you?
Thanks Michael! Unfortunately I don't... Only had one DB here years ago but it was just a carcass, promptly sold it for parts.
Cool
very nice no paint?
Negetory on that. I've thought about painting this over the years, but it gets stored under a tarp outside.
I have a brush hog for L model gravely would you be interested buying it
