I'm surprised there's no mention of the Ferrari F160 engine that is used across the entire Maserati lineup. It's kind of an oddball, with the block being based off of a Chrysler Pentastar V6 that has been modified to Maserati's specifications, with the cylinder heads being a Ferrari design. The bare block is shipped to Italy from the US state of Indiana and assembled in Modena by Ferrari. I believe it's also the only Ferrari engine that is solely used by Maserati.
These Ferrari guys are very smart in front of Media and they have the habit of covering up some key features that they use even to this day. They dont have any gratitude towards their fellow partners.
4.7 litre f136 cross plane crank v8. ferraris use flat plane cranks while the maseratis got cross plane plus different intake manifolds/head layout. hence why the maserati has a more muscle car sound while the ferrari has the high rev sound were all familiar with.

You realized the maserati motor was not a flat crank motor right. The ferrari used a 180 degree crank but the maserati used a std crank
