Give our guest bedroom a make over with me!

“Don’t know how often I’ll be stroking my walls like…”
I like to try out the products I sell so when we decided to redecorate last August (I’m a bit late sharing these video’s 🙈) I wanted to utilise the @duluxheritage Velvet Matt and we opted for the colour ‘Ancient Sandstone’
Coverage wise we were really impressed. We had one really deep blue wall which we did a third coat on just to be sure nothing was grinning through but the other walls covered in two coats. It was really nice to work with, we added a dash of water to help the flow a little and we didn’t suffer from much splattering (although I’ll credit my trusty @axusdecor silk touch roller with that too!).
Finish wise it really is a beautiful flat matt. We joked about how often we’ll be stroking the walls to get the velvet texture but I feel like in reality their naming of the paint is more about the nice visual flatness of the walls over how they feel under touch 😂 . It’s been 9 months and we’ve had a few guests sleepover in there and it’s proving durable (it’s got its class 1 scrub rating) but it is a guest bedroom so it’s not getting as much welly as other rooms in the house (but I do feel confident in being able to keep it clean!)
So it’s a yes from me on the would recommend pile, we have colour charts available on the website if you want to browse their heritage colours or it can also be used as a colour match product if you’re wanting a colour not available on the heritage chart!
