This is really good information. I'm learning more and more about aquatic plants and their lighting requirements I've also learned there are certain plants that will not grow with my tap water. There is also the difference between RO, well and tap water with how plants thrive. Great video.
Thank you very much! Yes indeed. Some plants require special attention. It's a really fun and interesting topic to research and learn about. Falling deeper into the rabbit hole everyday. 😆
So helpful! Starting a 10 Gallon with aquarium gravel because I’m worried about ammonia from plant substrate, what lighting do I need for most of these?
Very cool video, I love all the close ups of the fish and sea life! I’d love to start growing aquatic plants too so thanks for the tips. Happy to subscribe and support!
Awesome video👍 have you ever kept bacopa Caroliniana? Its a stem plant from my home state of North Carolina and many others across the south east United States so far mine are growing pretty well i have even gotten pearling without co2 just root tabs and liquid fertilizer.
How does the salvinia natans propagate? Does it do so slowly? I'm a slow poke at getting a tank started. I'm thinking to get a bit of this plant with a few cheap fish just to keep, hoping that by the time I start a tank I really want, there will be a good amount of salvinia natans ready for my main tank.
Hi! Salvinia natans are quite easy to grow. They do well with low flow. Baby plants will detach themselves from the parent plant, and fill up the tank in no time. That's a wonderful idea! Fish loves floating plants! All the best with your tank. 😄
Hi! Can you please tell me whether hygrophilia pinnatifida and hygrophilia polysperma are the same? I'm from India and polysperma is quite easily available. Just want to know if they can be grown without soil and co2.. Thank you :) PS- I'm totally new to planted tanks hence looking to keep things simple.
Hi! Welcome to the wonderful World of planted tanks! They are not the same plants. However, hygrophila polysperma is an easy, very forgiving plant. You can grow them without soil and without CO2 but I'd recommend to dose some liquid fertilizer in.
@@BeFishyGoing to setup a nano palnted with no nutrients sand substrate am I going to buy a liqiud fertilizer so when should I dose the fertilizer in first to two weeks means alternative days or once a week or what . As I am new to planted tank Can anybody please help ....
@@atharvagawas5343 In my experience, it is best to dose fertilizer once every week. It all depends on the type of fertilizer you have. What plants do you keep?
Hi! Thank you for watching. You can learn more about their care in the video but here are the list of plants mentioned: Java fern, Anubias, Bucephelandra, Bolbitis heudelotii, Hygrophila pinnatifida, Hydrocotyle sp australia, moss, red root floaters, Salvinia natans
Yes he is. 😄 Bettas can live in a peaceful community set up with no nippy fish as long as there are enough hiding spots (planted tanks with lots of plants are especially great) and if they're given a big enough space. I also do take into consideration of the temperament of my bettas. Generally, they're categorized as aggressive but some are more tolerant than others. 😄
i just made my new aquascape 3 weeks ago now i've also filled it with fish but i think i have a mistake here. Maybe the zebra danio is not suitable for the 7.5 gallon, one dwarf blue gourami size of about 1.2 inch and one red lipstick goby measuring 1.5 inch they think it's pretty good. But after I saw that their minimum tank size was 10 gallons. I'm having trouble here whether you know a fish suitable for a 7.5 gallon tank. For now I'm just filling it with 4 horned nerite snails and 1 zebra nerite snail, 1assassin snail, and 2 river shrimp.
Hi. For a 7.5 gallon tank, you can have a betta with a few chilli rasboras/ember tetras(heavily planted tank) or you can turn it into a shrimp tank and see them breed! 😄
Hi. It is definitely doable. However, as they are heavy root feeders, you will need to provide them with root tabs (root fertilizers). Good lighting and CO2 helps in increasing their growth rate.

Puffers are not suitable for a 7.5 gallon tank. If you're thinking of one, they do require a special diet with specific care. 😄
@@BeFishy thanks for the advice, maybe gourami, danio, and goby will be transferred to my plant storage pool.
