    After watching this video a few times and slowing it down, I finally figured out the technique you use for the cylinder ellipse and has helped me draw rounded corners better! thank you! it is such a small detail that makes a big difference!

    It is done in a simple isometric box.. These objects are drawn done and within the boundary of the box shapes. Good job, Sir.

    As an architecture student I really needed these. Subscribed. Add some relaxing music tho! Hoping for more videos about sketching and rendering techniques.

    A very good tutorial. It's worth slowing the video down to see the details of technique.

    the third object 1:43 top right, looks sharp to me, should there be some type of highlight in the rounded edge?
    Also, the first rounded box, does it have some of the reflected white from the paper back on the object? same for the sylnder?
    Just for the record, they all look amazing.

    • @arielbrindissketch
      @arielbrindissketch  7 років тому +1

      +Zoe Doucette absolutely, there was an intention at the end to mark down a highlight with white pen, but may be it wasn't strong enough, thanks for the comment, and for the other two objects you mention, it is right, there is an intention of making reflected surfaces on objects. Keep watching!

      adding value to transitions/rounded edges is so confusing. Thanks for getting back to me.

    Hello Ariel! I really admire your work. I hope you don't mind my asking how long you have practiced shapes & forms in your drawings? I have recently started and confronting my misconceptions in "3d space" and it has been daunting. You seem so comfortable with curves in space, We're/are you ever uncomfortable with them?

    • @arielbrindissketch
      @arielbrindissketch  7 років тому +2

      hi, I have been sketching professionally for more than twenty years, so dont worry it takes quite a while´, it is a matter of practice but soon you´ll start moving forward in every sketch. at the begining it is uncomfortable for sure but relax and move the paper to keep an easy flowing line.

    The weight for element = vertex > edge > face
    Look at the heavy weight put on those vertex.
    And also see this video - The secret of Art is:

    1. Golden ratio : Not only on math, but more on feeling.
    2. Balance between irregular (unpredictable) and regular (predictable) : A good design works might shows same [predictable / repeat] pattern all over the scope, but at the same time, it is not that regular, but always have sightly vary with the content, this makes so natural.
    4. Priority decision and uneven scatter.

    I am disappointed in this video. your drawing look great and looks like I could have learned a lot but you are giving no explanation and the speed is so fast it is not a useful video. I now have to look up how to slow it down to get any value from these obviously good examples of rounded edges.
