You could probably add 3-4 copies of Mirrex to help pump out tokens if you have Mondrak or The New God on Board for added benefit
So surprised by that concession… I feel like maybe they just had to go to bed or go to work or something. Cuz they were just one answer away from winning.
Loving the bo3 content from LegenVD. Bo1 is fun to watch but whenever I see bo3 decks I always want to play it.
The best of three content was a treat.
I'm surprised that there's not 2-3 copies of the white one mana 1/1 cleric that gains life when ever a creature enters the battlefield

13:49 Elspeth could've helped you in game 1 giving your tokens flying, I would've kept it as opposed to the Cemetery Protector.
Definitely an option! The main concern is a lack of creatures in play to give flying right away to help protect it. Esper will likely still have some creatures removal so it’s not the most reliable plan. At least with Raffine discarding lands the Protector has a more reliable way of making tokens.

Havent watched the games yet but can't help but notice that this deck would lose to mono red 98% of the time. Is monored not a thing in BO3?

24 lands is way too few for such a high mana curve, averaging almost 4, imo.

@@jesseknorr8037 With 12x 4CC, and a dozen more 5-6CC, 24 is 3 below what maths (e.g Frank Karsten articles on the subject) says it's the required mana amount to just make all your landrops till t5 every turn
With 24 lands you are not gonna be able to cast half your deck in time by t4
@@TheChzoronzon And for a control deck that's playing catch-up, you really need to hit every land drop, but this deck is actually pretty functional with just 3 or 4 mana. Having a six drop stuck in hand waiting for a land (or even two) is not so bad if you've got board presence and chump blockers.
Conversely, in a deck like this with limited card draw (we mostly have card selection) you definitely don't want to run out of gas early by drawing too many lands - which is a secondary reason why many control decks run a lot of card draw: makes all those extra lands useful or at least not a liability.
