Is that a merfolk zombie in the background? I always thought it was just a regular merfolk. Although I see your point in the context of the deck, exploit.
I know you hear it often, but you are the very best magic (at least arena) content creator. Your insight makes your games really easy to watch, and it makes your videos a learning experience too. Your prioritization of sequencing makes the game very digestible for new players too. Whenever a friend of mine wants to learn MTG, I show them the ropes with commons/uncommon, and then refer them to your channel. You’re funny when you get mana screwed, and you almost always let your opponents play through their winning turn. Keep up the amazing work lvd!
Man, the excitement when you drew that Fell Stinger in game 3 was palpable, and also the exact reason I was hoping you'd play this deck. It's just such a silly list when it goes off.
That 1st match was cool against mono white humans. Started out a little slow and looked like he had the upper hand and as soon as you got the mana and Roaming throne, just too much value. Then the 2nd Throne triggers with Necro is insane. One thing I hate about Get Lost. Ended up winning you the game cause you would have been screwed had you not used the map tokens.
I had to unsibscribe because Yourube is promoting LegendVD mixes that I cannot remove at yhe tip of my feed no matter how much I don't want to see it, and I cannot stop it other than this way. You understand.
Was kind of difficult trying to do the math in my head for some of the Necroduality + Roaming Throne + Zombie triggers. Convenient when Arena does it for you, will be tricky to replicate in paper
Back in Crimson Vow I loved 1-2 copies of Geralf, Visionary Stitcher. Giving your whole team flying out of knowhere was amazing to close out games in a board stall
14:14 If you exploit the original Headless Rider, you get a Skaab token from the nontoken Skaab's trigger and two Rider triggers. Skaab doesn't care who the exploit trigger comes from as long as you exploit a nontoken. Would have been lethal the turn after.
It's super fun to play but it loses against every meta deck except when they draw really badly. I just went 2-8 without ANY chance in the 8 losses, but I still had fun :) Recommend the deck for play queu though, not everyone is as zen as LVD and the deck folds to aggro and sweepers alike, so that only leaves weird decks or hoping for opponents that get a bad luck streak.
Maybe you've answered somewhere but I didn't see it! I love zombie decks and this one is definitely great making use of the Roaming Throne. Out of curiosity though, why not use a Shambling Ghast instead of the Greedy Freebooter. My thought being that its a great Fodder, And still has the chance to be doubled later on with Necroduality. Both are one cost black, and create treasure upon death. It also benefits from Cavern of Souls named Zombie.
@@LegenVD OHH! Gotchya. I don’t play a whole lot of standard so I missed that. I thought I had a standard deck that had it in there but that was a while ago. Thanks for the quick response!
Roaming throne was a mistake to print. The fact it is literally better than other tribal cards in any tribal deck makes it an auto-include in all commander decks, thus further pushing decks toward homogeneity. It's basically the Sol Ring of tribal decks.
*EDIT: Sorry I didn't mean this Zombie deck, this one is cool :D Boros aggro, alongside monored/blue, is pure cancer for a game that's supposed to be a duel or showdown of decks, and yet these stupid decks don't allow the opponent to play anything significant on time and merely rely on playing everything out before the opponent gets to turn 4. This game would be much, much better off if WOTC stopped printing tools for these decks to thrive and started focusing on real, interesting strategies like the one for The Grim Captain or the new craft mechanic which actually require neurons and time to develop :)
Flavorwise, I love that the only nonzombie in the deck is a greedy pirate whose only job is to get grabbed by the zombies. The art is even on point.
I think that s a siren
and chair, to be fair

@@johndoe9343 I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a Mycoid. That's what the flavor text says, at least.

The title is hillarious yet on point, as always! 😆
The end of match 1 was INSANE!
Was that a COD zombies reference in the VIP screen at the end? "Its a crawler!" gave me a special kind of joy lol
New tech for chair tribal.

RIP dimir control player, he died the way he lived, drawing a million cards
"I'm sure I put some lands in this deck..." Loved the way you say it, so calmly frustrated 😂
The most emotion he's ever shown. It's LegendVD's equivalent of flipping the table.
to be honest the throne is probably the best card in most of the tribes
It's like a cheaper, harder to remove, better Elesh Norn for tribe decks! Quadrupling Exploit effects puts in massive work tho
roaming throne demands revisiting all trigger decks!
Slap some cavern of soul and roaming chair in some tribal deck feels good lol.
@@jesseknorr8037 It's certainly comparable to ETB doublers in general, in versatility and in power.
these thumbnails never disappoint haha
any interesting decks to look forward to with khans coming out today?
Working on it!

Don’t do it…don’t give me hope that Necroduality is playable in standard 😂
Lol I wish. I played it so much when it came out

your excitement at 20:35 will probably make me sleep well
I really wanna play decks like this but I absolutely refuse to buy wildcards. Will get there one day I guess
That mana screw in match 1 felt personal 😅
The title of this video has me giggling like a little girl.
Chair me.

6:28, opponent should've targeted the skaab
I was saying that out loud when that happened lol
Lolll the thumbnails and jokes only keep getting better. 😂😂😂
I used tò play this bit i ran too many copie of necrodualiies😂
Very nice! Thats another deck going into the rotation.
To be fair it's a very big chair.
Counters go brrrr
whats the matter with chairs bro xD
Are merfolk tribal any good in standard?
It's not quite there yet and I'm doubtful we'll see more merfolk anytime soon.
@@LegenVD return to lorwyn in a few years! LCI should still be in standard by then, too, but yeah that's a while away
That match 4 insanity curve though.

Have you thought about adding "Overcharged Amalgam"? Great way to ambush with Champion or deny a board wipe.
14:10 great tip!
Love that exploit animation, adds a bit of "mad scientist" flavor to your explanation of the Fell Stinger triggers in Game 3
Thanks!!! I love you for this!! I love zombies and this is a pretty good one I never thought of roaming to do such crazy things with zombies 😮
This is the tasteful spice i am looking for in a deck good funny deck!, prayge no board wipes
This is a really fun deck to watch. And it's really interesting how the exploit triggers get doubled twice!
epic
The last opponent must have had a hand full of counter spells. When he noticed he would never use any of them, he just gave up. XD
6:30 Opponent using Get Lost on the Rider instead of the Skaab is so tiltingly dumb 💀
Nice seeing you loose aswell, feeling better about myself now haha
Let's double all Exploit trigger 😅
Good thing i wasn't the only one that had that idea
Crazy to see people trying to counter creatures while Cavern of Souls is in play still
HELL YEAH ZOMBIES! MY FAVORITE CREATURE TYPE! LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!
You're a legend for real for reviving Zombies in standard. Let's goooo!

+1/+1 COUNTER MACHINE GUN LET'S GOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Those triggers in G1 were satisfying as fuck!
I love this deck, zombies are great!
Finally, zombies redemption.
Deck seems pretty fun and it has its powerful moments, but it seems to lack consistency and struggle from behind
I'd almost like to see a more controlling version wherd the goal is to combo kill with the scorpion
Great title and thumbnail 😂
all hail The Bone Throne! \o/

One of the Caverns was naming Throne, so it actually did well this time!
