Also I usually sing in my chest voice and that make it hard for me to sing higher notes (I don’t know how to lighten my mix or chest voice) any quick fixes you could give me?
Yes, lots. See my playlist called Mixed Voice Made Easy! ua-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDCCsBgnhWjfRRAWIPflxZp1.html You can go to my channel page and see my different playlists to find what you need. :)
This is the best video I’ve come across! The 5 tone scale while paying attention to lightening the voice gradually is soooo helpful for my middle voice and the extreme top of my range! Makes everything way easier
This is one of the best - if not the best- video you've done so far. IMHO. Enjoyed it immensely. It did bring up a question, however. Among the current famous - at least recorded- operatic tenors, are many singing the upper register notes in head voice or do they push up the heavier chest voice? Many of those top notes sound heavy or almost baritonal sometimes and while the tone may be good, the singing does not always sound free to me. In your demonstrations and singing I can hear what you are doing but it seems much harder to hear it in the tenors I like. Anyway, really good video.
Dramatic tenor voice types probably have thicker vocal folds to begin with so their tone quality is fuller-bodied. Their high notes are in chest mix (but sound fat), not head voice. "Chest mix" is the term I choose to use; other may use a different term.
I love your videos Victoria so much that even though I have an amazing vocal teacher, I ordered your daily vocal exercises to assist me. The teacher has a lot of material to go over and there's only so much time to do warm ups. I would like my high notes to have more resonance with that angelic soprano technique. Sometimes I get lucky and then other times, I just squeak or have an air blurb. I don't usually crack but that air blurb is so annoying. I will keep you updated on my progress. The choir rehearsals begin on August 19, 2023. If I don't meet the expectations of the choir. I will be cut from the group until next summer.
Uh.. Thank you! it s a lot to procces...my neck tightens when I get in the high register.. Ur on the Point with the exercises! And Hello from Romania! :)

Hello Victoria. Thank you for the video. Kindly assist me.😊. How should a person deal with stage fright? When your stomach comes into the throat and the singing starts or gets shaky? Is there a lesson on how to deal with stage fright....during practice, everything is great but Infront of audience can be something else. Thank you.
When i get to the high notes, my voice gives out and makes a kind of weird breathy squeaking noise. im not sure which of these problems that would indicate.

When you say to stretch and thin out the vocal cords as we ascend in pitch, do you mean to raise the soft palate? Or if not this then what do you actually mean by it and how do we stretch and thin out the cords? Thx❤
Well, you can stretch and thin without a lot of lift in the soft palate. They are 2 different functions. You can feel the stretching and thinning as the tone feels lighter in ascending, like in humming or the siren.
@@Victoria-Victorious still if you can then plz consider on making a little video about explaining stretching and thinning the cords as we ascend in pitch

So it should be relaxed without pressure or forcing & it also should be builded from low notes to approach the high note to be healthy. 💚
Well I tried narrowing the vowels at my new note and add some vocal rest between but I’m still skeptical if I’m right or not
Tnx for ur useful vids n good points🙂👍🏼✨💚
So it takes less air to sing high notes but does it also take more air to sing low? 🤔
Not necesarrily more air, but the right amount of air. High notes need less.
Blessings on you!!!! Px
you are a marvel, luv U.
Thank you so much!
Thank you brilliant girl. P.x
