Im in tears!! I’ve always had problems with my support and no matter what I tried I never knew how really supporting feels. After I tried your exercises I just sang a full song with relaxation and without getting out of pitch. I feel a big break thought in my voice. Thank you!!!!!
The first teacher on youtube that I finally trust. I have learnt more from you than from 100s of other videos and 3 teachers. Thank you so much! You don't even know how much you're helping me right now developing as an artist.
Finally, a teacher who demonstrates and explains perfectly the transition from breathing support exercises to actual singing! I have been doing endless breathing and warm-up exercises from various channels for weeks now but not really understanding how they would apply. I was hoping they would just miraculously improve my voice over time. Now, I understand it perfectly thanks to you, Victoria. It will take a lot of practice, but now I know how to practice effectively.
Girl… I’ve always had breath support issues No matter how many vocal coaches I look up and follow I always end up singing from my throat! This helped so much!! Thank you so so much!
I've heard so many people try to explain breath support to me, and your explanation is the only one that has worked. Most people either don't explain it in a way I understand, or what they say is just straight up wrong. I noticed such a difference after watching this and a few of your other breath support videos!
I studied with 3 different teachers and this is the first time I finally know how to breath support properly. god I think I finally found the channel that gonna change my life
i think im learning more with you than my actual teacher...you give detail on how to do it, and specifically, my teacher doesnt she just tells me to breath...i really appreciate and love what you do, and will continue seeing your vids :)
Amazing tutorial! This saved my throat from injury while doing metal vocals, never realized how little breath support I had until I watched this. Bless you!
I found an interesting way to train this by accident: sing under the shower, right in the middle where it gets a little harder to breathe and water drops may cover your mouth as you open it. I was singing one song and because i become careful in breathing in as to not suck in water droplets, the air goes quickly directly from mouth-only to diaphragm, and i naturally try to preserve my air more while singing. My singing becomes more powerful, with better vibration, and even parts where i usually use nasal voice i can use diaphragm voice. That's honestly my best version of singing that song 😄 I need to do it more often so it becomes muscle memory because if not i will sing with nasal voice as usual
Really amazing stuff. I’ve been working with a great classical voice teacher who’s been doing it for 30+ years and have never trusted any of the so-called vocal coaches on UA-cam like I do him. You’re the exception. You seem to have a great, informative, and applicable video about pretty much any vocal question I could have. I also appreciate that you always emphasize the importance of the whole body, and address issues of vocal health and longevity at every applicable moment. Thank you.
Some of my repertoire requires a lot of support. It took a long time before I got it to where it's basically ingrained. I can't think of a skillset more valuable for singing, for example Motown tunes. I still work on support during practice.
I'm currently working on my singing through doing the beginners' singing lessons guide playlist. I already feel more in control. After watching your videos I realized I didn't even know how to breath. Thank you so much for this. After finishing your UA-cam videos I will check your website to benefit even more. I've always loved music but never knew were to start to Thank you.
I just wanted to say I LOVE YOU. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge, you dont know what it means to me. I was ready to quit singing, now after a couple of months of training what you told I cant believe I can finally do what I always had problems with.
I'm with Skeptic Squirrel (below). That "trill to ah" exercise lit the bulb better than anything else I've seen and tried. That's just been added to my daily workout. Thanks. Now to find your larynx video.
Wow... I'm only three videos in and I already feel so much better about my chances at improving and I'm SUPER EXCITED to continue! 💗 Thank you so much for all the effort and passion you've put into your channel, hope you get better soon 🥺
Amen. Breath support is too alien to the new singer. No idea whatsoever. Thanks for dedicating a whole video on this. Very practical and informative. This is how it should be taught in the choir. Choir directors need to teach these ideas very smartly so as to present them simply, clearly, and effectively. Kudos and thanks!!! :D
Thank you Victoria. My singing and breathing has improved tremendously, and I have only started yesterday. I will definitely continue to use these vocal tips to improve my singing. Keep up the good work ❤❤🎉🎉😊
my goodness I love you!!💙 I can't wait to work with you. you have that wonderful balance of strong bootcamp intensity and love of the craft that I need!! bless you!

Thank you, I am learning so much! I have purchased 3 different classes and you are explaining so much I know I will learn with you. I will become a member when I learn a bit more from you, what a Doll!
Absolutely sensational teacher❤ I could never understand why I was always singing and running out of breath and straining my voice box I wish I knew this 30 years ago, I may of had a different career
I keep coming back to this playlist and listening intently. I'll get it eventually--I'm determined! It seems my current issue is the balance between inhalation and exhalation. I find I do best right after those exercises, as you say. And when I am properly supported and my airflow is balanced, my voice sounds sooooo beautiful. I have been tearing up at the thought because I have worked so hard on my voice and this is the key right here to getting me to the other side! Thank you thank you thank you, Victoria! 🥰
The first teacher that explains support as it is. I was so happy when I found you on UA-cam. Normally it is something that is not teach at all, and it is so important, so basic, so important for good singing. I still have work to do on that, but everything is more clear for me now.
Adding to help folks. My professional friend has a world well known band and when records in studio he first drinks a glass mixture of Barley water and honey very stirred. He said it lines the throat easing climbing of notes. All the best to you. JB. East Surrey. UK.

Thank you so much! I have a lot of other videos on breath support in my PLAYLIST on Breathing and Breath Support: ua-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDCQDneLVxvJRkJp_Omj_vbp.html
This video answered some questions I had after one of your other videos. Thank you. By the way, as a balloon twister, please know that the thinner balloons actually require more support to inflate. The ones that are 3 inches in diameter (called 360's as they are 3 inches by 60 inches) are much easier than the 2 inch diameter ones (260's). Some people have popped blood vessels in the eyes from mouth-inflating 260's, so most will use pumps. The common party balloons most people can mouth-inflate easily are about 10 inches in diameter.
love this video! i love that you mention, that when we are using the breath support, we are not "holding the breath"! that is something that i have been struggling with. it is like my lower abdominal muscles just don't want to be engaged.so for me it was very helpful to finally hear other options than the old "hold up your pee"!!! thanks for the input
Hi Victoria, I am enrolled in your program and learning a lot. My biggest problem right now is mixed voice. I do not have a problem going up into head voice but I have a serious problem going down to chest voice. I took, over the years, approximately 20 years of voice lessons. For the last 15 years I have only sung in small church choirs. I stopped because of family responsibilities. I am now 75 and trying to regain some of my voice. I used to sing high b/s easily which would be nice to get back. I am up to a high g now. I did not used to have trouble settling into chest voice but now It feels like when I come down to around f over middle c it feels like I have, I guess, mucus under the top of my vocal cords that I cannot clear above that I have no problem . I can sing chest in a very heavy voice but I have not been able to figure out why I cannot sing through the change and get the "sound" of connection there.. Could that be a part of breath support collapse or my age? Thank you.
I cannot tell without seeing and hearing you. My next group class on April 27 will be on Mixed Voice! The email was sent yesterday. You can also check the Group Class page on my website.

Breath = motor, Support = regulator. This is such a great analogy. This was my AHA moment, when I started to understand what appogio means, when I had been hearing about it for quite some time, but still was not such what it was. Thank you so much for your wonderful classes. Looking forward to joining your programs really soon!
@@Victoria-Victorious Yes, I'm thinking of it. I was also about to purchase your exercise course, but got confused as to which type of voice I need to select (because presumably you'll have the scales and keys according to the range of the selected voice type). Any advice on how to go about that?
In answer to your question, each program covers 2 1/2 octaves in range. If singers are not sure of their voice type, I recommend ordering alto/mezzo-soprano for women and bass/baritone for men, especially for beginners. That is for lower to medium voice types, so unless you consider your voice to be high, this should work. If not, you have 30 days to switch to the higher voice category.
I figured it out! I wasn’t supporting, i was holding my breath back with my vocal folds, not my diaphragm! I feel more power in my voice now! Do you have any videos about distortion?
I seriously just love your teaching style! Can you suggest silent exercises that similarly are good for the voice? Sometimes it's really hard to practice when you think others are gonna judge you
It’s an amazing probably the best video on support I have ever seen thank you so much Victoria I was wondering if you have video on bringing the sound forward (forward placement) while singing because when I do my vocal exercises if feel my sound goes little bit back in my throat will really appreciate your response thanks
Thank you so much! My next video (to be posted on Sat) will be on ring in the voice. That should help you a lot. Also, if you have not watched Develop Your True Voice! Victoria's FORMULA for singers! ua-cam.com/video/ROEaIBcsc9k/v-deo.html, I would watch because includes resonance. Make sure that you are not pressing your tongue down because this will give you that swallowed sound and create a lot of tension.
Good day, I used to sign pretty good (but did not take many lessons) but a recent jaw problem makes it impossible for now. I am waiting for an intervention about that. Meanwhile, I still have to work… and talk at least 15 hours a week on stop. I am a fitness trainer. I guess if I apply your advices it should help me use less jaw mouvement and have more power without straining my vocal cords?? Your support system is close to what I teach for muscle toning. So far you are the best I saw on the internet, you are really generous. Hope you can help. Thanks so much.
Hello Victoria, thank you so much for your singing lessons. That’s really great. I was wondering if you could give me a few pointers on I’d like to play piano and sing and when I’m using the lead sheet, I need to know when to breathe and that’s where I’m having a problem is breathing while I’m singing and playing the piano. Thank you so much for your lessons. It’s so gracious of you. God bless you and have a merry Christmas.

Victoria I was wondering if you have video on bringing the sound forward (forward placement) while singing because when I do my vocal exercises if feel my sound goes little bit back in my throat will really appreciate your response thanks
Thank you Victoria. That was very easy to understand and i am working on it. Much appreciated.
Glad it was helpful! Keep it up!
Amazing!

Awwwww, thank you! 💙
Super excellent !! 👌🏻
Awesome tips
Thank you
Ur the best teacher I just recently discovered u channel and it's amazing many kisses from ecuador
Welcome and thank you!
I have a video on this! WHERE DO YOU BREATHE IN A SONG? Where to Breathe When Singing ua-cam.com/users/shortslrDhnPfVzK0
