He struggled with chemical abuse and got sober and rededicated his life to the Lord. I know, because I was in there with him. Just a regular guy like the rest of you. RIP Danny Joe.
Hey Thomas, My Man,, I am so jealous that you had the opportunity to be a friend of this wonderful person. I am sure the time you spent together will always be with you so thank you for being there with him. Cherish that moment, there's a ton of us that would have loved to know him so kudo's my friend.
Well if he found Christ that explains a little. He was called home (well not really, no one goes to heaven or hell just a long sleep until Jesus Christ's return, then we are judged). R.I.P. Good man....... Hope to meet you on the brighter side one day you and Nikola Tesla, Praise Jesus...
A hero to me!! From the time I 1st heard "Whiskey Man," got to share stages ALL OVER THE WORLD with someone who would become a best friend forever, until the day he passed I was beat to death with the loss of this gentleman!! So, thank you for keeping his Spirit alive my friend!!! ❤️❤️❤️🤘🎸🤘
Saw Molly Hatchet in 1979 at the Villarreal Convention Center in McAllen, Texas as they opened up for ACDC. This was my first concert ever. They lit up the house with some awesome southern rock! What a concert! ACDC with Malcom on Bon's shoulders running through the crowd. Danny Joe and the rest of the band, thanks for the memories. Rest in Peace Brothers🙏.
I loved Danny's voice, I still sing like him today whenever I hear one of their songs. When everyone was playing Lyanrd,I was jamming Molly. Who we kidding I'm from The South and loved all Southern rock. And yes I consider The Eagles Southern rock because they were from Southern Cali. LOL! Sleep well brother.
Sorry but that's not how it works, no one dies and goes to Heaven or hell. We await the return of Jesus Christ our Lord and savior then we are judged if we proved our selves then we get a chance to prove once again we stand with Christ. And we live for 1000 years on earth with Jesus Christ as our King our Lord and savior. Then (after the 1000 years) Lucifer once again is permitted to weed out the unfaithful by temptation and such. Only those that stay pure of heart and true to the word of God.
No such thing as soul sleep.....sounds like SDA mumbo jumbo.....who are those that are slain in Revelation 6: 9-11? Just as it says....it is those slain in the tribulation....tribulation ...not wrath.....the bible is much simpler to understand if you just read it as is and don't try and do mental gymnastics to make it fit whatever you were taught.....of course the unsaved cannot understand or properly divide the word. And the most telling thing is you say you have to prove yourself....grace is by faith and faith alone....your works are useless.@@SK-me9by
Danny Joe Brown l.Thank you for the happiness you brought your people Then.to know you walked into.Gods kingdom.is the the best victory A Rocker will.ever have
Such an iconic, charismatic frontman and amazing human being. He befriended me and changed my life, and showed me what it was like to be in the presence of greatness. I owe so much to that man. Thank 😊you, Danny. ❤
I met DJB and his mom in S Florida before he died. We talked about the cool album covers with artwork of Frank Frazetta. The redneck power T shirt he wore on the back of the album. I know a lot of the songs being a big fan. His moms fav song was “ Dreams “. They were just normal very nice people. No ego at all. RIP. You made some of the best music in existence.
@@famousgraves6817 along with another southern rock band. That was a great big deal but not as big of a deal as were than you famous grave s gonna be 😆 😆 from gator country. He'll ya because you'll have dreams you never see because you're beating the odds again
So don't be flirting with disaster or the whisky man or you will have dreams you'll never see in gator country Hell ya from a OL of southern Florida boy
Man I saw Molly Hatchet 3 different times but twice with Danny he was phenomenal class act of singer and the duel guitar attacks were smoking we both were addict s of that rock n life stile but dedicated are life to Christ. And all see all them good ol boys there for that all star line up 😆 God bless from gator country 850
Long will his memory live as well as his music. In my opinion had THE most iconic vocal , not just in Southern rock & roll, but in rock music period. man I miss the ol' boy as well as the whole Molly Hatchet band. I've listened to countless hours of Hatchet, with Danny's vocal leading the way. I saw them 13 times , 16 if I count when Farrar sang. But Molly Hatchet wasn't Molly Hatchet without Danny Joe Brown fronting them with his iconic vocal. See ya in Glory some day brother!
Grew up inJacksonville's Northshore neighborhood .Couple blocks away on Main St was Dino's Rock n Roll Bar. When I was 16 (you could drink at 18 then) I would trade reefer to door guys and bouncers to get in and see Molly Hatchet in 77 before the record deal and the devastating fall of our Freebird. The city of Jacksonville was in shock ! Just mere weeks later CBS Epic Records signs Jacksonville's Molly Hatchet and the rest is history. God Bless all the great Jacksonville musicians we have lost over the years. Thanks for the Music ! RIP. .
I saw Molly Hatchet several times in the late 1970s and in to the 1980s, Loved every song, every lick, Danny was unbelievable vocalist, I was with in feet of the stage at several MH concerts I went, and to watch the energy these guys had was just amazing, I met Danny think it was 1982 or 1983 he was real friendly, he and some people were having dinner at the same place as we were, he just started talking to us, asked us if we liked Southern Rock..and who we liked and so on, but yeah great guy, was so sad to hear he passed away....

Was perfect in MH. Rip.
Molly Hatchet is my favorite ❤️ Danny Joe Brown was my first crush.
MEE TOOO!!! STILL LOVE and miss him terribly! When I lived in Davie Florida he lived down the street in Weston.
Absolute Legend!
Outlaw Breed!
I dig that he has tunes on the his gravesite pulling natural solos in the shade
In my opinion, he was the Best lead singer for Molly Hatchet. I first saw the video for Satisfied Man in 1984 and was hooked.
Great singer i Miss him
Excellent
RIP Danny Joe
He rocked, I think he should be remembered for his music, not what spot he was put to rest in, but that's just me. Rip
Still enjoy today
RIP DJB

Outlaws on the loose...runnin, runnin, from the noose
So,he quits drugs and booze, accepted Lord as his saviour and then he died young. Well done
once the Lord cleans you up .. perhaps your on your own after
🥰❤️
Such a shame, all the unique, true good ones leave too soon.
I never heard this band, but you did a great job putting this together.
You definitely need to listen to them
Why does it seem like all the good performers die young and all we're left with are mostly Shit talent not even talent really just Shit?
I thought diabetes got him?
