Mostly Keyboardist and Vocalist Donald Fagen and Guitarist Mr. Becker, and a lot of excellent studio musicians. So much great stuff to check out. True fact, Steely Dan is named after a sex toy.
I remember my bandmate in college was trying to steer me in this direction and I always kind of liked Steely Dan but for some reason I was resistant because I was in a much heavier stuff and I do remember this being one of the ones that kind of broke me. I heard that guitar playing and the tightness of it and the sarcasm and the earnestness and all of that in the vocal delivery and that incredible bass guitar line and I suddenly realized I'm missing out by insisting on everything has to be really heavy and dense or really punk rock and strident. This was like a great blend of them and it happened early on.

I'm not sure which ones you have covered but "My Old School" and "Peg" are two great Steely Dan songs that are worth putting on your play list.
