I'm new to barb can I ask how does weapon damage work on dust devil. Let's say I have a mace with 925 and a sword with 850, does both weapon affect the damage of my dust devil?
unrealistic build. how much life does this barb have? 15 maybe 20k? No way this will survive endgame bosses
No thanks, Snail's build is trash. Perra Gaming and Robb have way better optimized and explained guides for the WW. barb. Just out this Mr Snail guy to get better and replace him. He's lagging hard
God this game really needs a way to switch builds on the fly. How has this game gone through 4 seasons without a proper way to switch builds
Truly. This would be absolutely killer with variant builds in particular
Builds loadouts for both gear and skills should be in every game on launch
It exists in D3 like many QoL stuff they didnt add instantly....i feel theyre never gonna add it either cause of the gold costs(altough it can just show how much it costs bruh) or bcs they just dont want to
I'd love something similar to what d3 has. The inconvenience is, you have to go to town to use it, which shuts down any abuse of the switch. Pretty good solution
Absolutely, my only option has been to make 4 different Barb.
Whirlwind Dust Devils is what I wanted to play since hearing about it, so that's what I did this season even though it was underpowered compared to other builds even Double Swing, but it was still a blast to level with. I was feeling the pain though when all I could reasonably clear efficiently was about pit 66. But then I found Rob's bleed build and collected the ubers needed and now we got some buffs and I'm having a blast again in endgame. Speed farming has always been my thing rather than pushing anyways.
I switched one of my leveling barbs to this build and no joke this build Blasts! After doing so, I then got Gohr's and a Ramaladni's and also added a Yen's Blessing. I never stop whirling. Shouts are always up, it's crazy powerful. Deleting dungeons 20 levels higher no problem
Same this build is more fun than bash!
How are you doing in the pit?
@@adamstratton683 not started pit... basically been doing the same thing as Raxx just leveling different characters to 100. Not really interested in the mechanics of the pit
Im trying this built as well but eventhough my damage is amazing, i still lack survivability. I have to kill the enemies first otherwise they one shot and tbh i dont where i am lacking. Is it possibble for you to help me with my built?

Robs build from D4 builds website is way better than the one in maxroll gg, already clearing 130s with that one. Think this time the guy in charge of the Barbarian department didn't make the cut since he didnt keep up the pace with the new updates
Not just the barbarian department but pretty much all of maxroll are behind the times and try to play catch up with unoptimized builds on the fly. Sad to see them fall this hard lately.

Yeah because Rob has perfect rolled and masterworked gear, including perfect uber uniques. Of course he's going to clear hit pit tiers. The problem is he presents his builds as if the casual audience can simply plug and play, which they can't.
I custom built my DD Barb this season until the last 10 levels because she was becomming a one-shot wonder in fights where she only had the boss to focus down in the pit, so I checked out Cotton's build. Now I'm curious to try yours. Thank you for this, Raxx! What I'm loving is NOT farming an Uber and 3 or 5 Uniques and spending 100 million for my enchants and affixes every time I change a piece of gear. LOL
Found you when you began doing PoE stuff and I gotta say, I was STARVING for some good "League-Start" like content.

At level 64 this build can actually do work in NMD 100's. Been using it to farm resplendent sparks in helltide.
1st toon:
-Gather gear and build out a level 60 loadout while levelling in helltide (not slow, but slowest of the multiple toons due to the looting)
-Masterwork to level 4 or 8
-Farm Iron Wolf until rank 18
-Store gear, delete toon
2nd toon (and beyond):
-1-60 leech from friend
-Equip gear and setup build from guide
-Farm Iron Wolf until rank 18
-Store gear, delete toon
why whould in gods sake anyone do this, if you drop uber unique basically from every 2nd uber boss ?

@@inihendry how many you have killed ? I must admit i had bad luck lately and dropped 0 from last 6 rotas, fortunatelly i have 2 shards ready and 3 required uniques under my belt so i need only two shards :)
@@liborpisa1515over hundreds of duriel and kinda 40ish or lordzir. And the uber always dropped for my mates 🤣

Spin2Win should be mandatory in every game where you have to fight.
Mrs & I started 2 WW/DD barbs yesterday to take our new Shakos for a spin. We're casual scrubs and already hitting 55 tonight after a couple 1-2 hr session & easily ready for T4. It's just fast, mad fun! :D
Yeah this build is my preferred playstyle. Its so much fun and theres no faster speedfarming build in the game. Absolutely cracked.

Thankx Raxx, I have lost too many barbs, this build with gear lvl one clear monster lvl 30 and the lvl 20 gear clears the Capstone lvl50 ❤❤❤
Just started this build, it's amazingly strong at low level right away, but it's hard to maintain fury. I did add one rank of Hamstring for more crowd control, but I think the problem is everything dies in one hit, so it doesn't start bleeding, so it's not slowed, so umbral doesn't trigger... But even so I can get away with not having lunging strike on my bar, just have to time my shouts well to use them for fury.
you know whats funny, I was trying to level with double swing and I was just not getting it. It was not smooth and seemed uncomfortable. So yesterday I just did what you did , swapped the points into whirlwind, and Feeeeuk I am loving it.. it is so amazing, smooth and leveling is so fast. I am 57 in tier 4 and just cruising. Gear is really bad, still from tier 3 and only have 4 aspects no master working..
Damn this is a crazy build I started new barb n I stormed through capstone dungeon at 33 could have done even earlier the boss was dead in less than a second..
After they announced the patch notes, I immediately started a WW barb as well and even before the patch I was DESTROYING everything so fast. Spin 2 Win rules.
Great leveling build. I slapped on all aspects from planner with some tempers. Close dmg/ dust devil size/ cast twice. Item power from weapons was 400 and under and i cleared first capstone at 28. Ez
I am having trouble with Bosses 160+ . 90% of my devils are never hitting the boss.
So I need veeeery long for them.
Fun to play in the 150s , but in higher Pits its a pain....

Transitioned into DoubleSwing...
...then ran a final BASH.
After that i made a Heartseeker,
then a WindShear,
then a ShadowMinion...
...and now you say my first Build rulez finally?
WW is the most iconic Diablo-Build and oi always loved it!
Even in POE and Torchlight:Infinite these are my Favouritez!

This is incredible - I decided to create a new barbarian to try out that build (got tired of changing builds on my main whenever i find a fun build) and found one of the most powerful and fun builds ive ever played.
I thought you were joking when you said you are doing NM dungeons that are 20-30 levels higher but yesterday i found myself doing NM dungeons that are 35-40 level higher (level 130 dungeons when my character is 90) - not only i was able to do them, it was also easy to do. Leveling with this build was a smooth ride from beginning till the end and i think i found my build for season 5.
Where do you go from here once you hit level 100? Do i keep using the same build or is it evolving into something else?
Another question - Is there a version of the whirlwind/dust devils build that is also good vs bosses?

Raxx Help me bro! Ive been watchign CRAZY vids and vids on this WW. I just tore down my Bleed Bard. He is only lvl 90. But I don't Have "The Grandfather, Tyrials, or Harlequin" Hopng I can just run Dust Devils with this for a bit until I'm able to clear more and then build up into the HighCrit>CritDmg>Bleed version of this with endless CDs etc. Robs channel has the build in it's OPTIMIZED form, and that's great. I just REALLY need something that will work for me in the meantime.

I converted my DoubleSwing barb into WW barb using Robs guide to make it a bleed build, but I am using dumb shit like Grandpapa/Shako/Tyrael's Might. Would love to get a Starless Skies as well but we will see.
Just got a grandpapa yesterday from duriel and the next time got a ring of starless skies. It's a beast of a ring
I'm using all the Ubers he has in his build and have most stuff at 8/12 master working but still feeling a little squishier than expected
@Raxxanterax Nice guide. I don't see either Rage of Harrogath or Bold Chieftain's aspect though. How are you reducing your cds? Newbie question, returning from s1.

When i checked the build, he has 2 items that give him a total of 15% cdr, but in the video i think he gets reduction on every kill or something

How does concussion synergise with this build? When do you use a bludgeoning weapon?

i had it before the updates very solid leveling build. although i went hybrid with thorns/max life when i got my hands on a razorplate. pretty solid build as well. i think dd was doing 3-5k, thorns doing 13k or so. not serious just mid level 48 or so
I was hyped to try this build after I had my fill of Necro and Rogue but over 1 hour in I'm still stuck in WT2 slow AF since I did not have a single Dust Devil power nor did I find one in the first dozen legendary or so that I've found. I guess it wasn't just meant to be 😅
I don't think Wrath of the Berserker is worth switching to. Switch Lunging Strike to Leap (better Fury generation, no generator needed, more mobility).
Switch Ancients to either Challenging Shout (bring the mobs to you AND get more DR + life) or Steel Grasp for insaaaaane vulnerability uptime / get over here.
I dropped Grasping Whirlwind too. It's nice QOL but I haven't seen much need for it.
How about the Tap and not Holding down WW is way better what Rob told in his video? I don't prefer the tap playstyle, would be better if we can just hold down in spin....
Basically did this build last night and got butcher 5 times from 80-90 in NMD 50ish and melted him in 1 hit. Triple shout. Is there a reason you switched to damage to distant on everything? especially with pulling stuff in I did damage while beserking on everything with maybe a "brick" here and there with damage to close or distant.
I like to do a balance of close and distant on dust devils usually bc sometimes you kill stuff across the screen, and sometimes the monsters are giving you a hug. Also need some damage while berserking rolls in there
This is dust devil build with ww as support. I wish some day we can make a proper pure ww build, my dream is something with lucky hit and elemental damage.

I played twister ww this season before the buffs. I liked it but switched to double swing literally on Sunday. Guess have to switch back again lol
What is the difference in damage and survivability between double swing, and ww for the end game?

Why did the guy you the board from, use the exploit glyph in and then not put enough dexterity to use the glyph?

Roll all your mace, two swords, rings, necklace and gloves on a rogue for crit damage, then 2h sword with vulnerable swap them back to barb and equip gushing wounds key passive for even more bleeds. It's wildly over powered on whirlwind.
Momentum elixir feels fantastic on this build so so fast
hi, for the double swing build you suggested damage to close, but on this its damage to distant. could you clarify.
Mob damage seems super good, but bosses seem to take forever compared to DS (level 95 bard vs 126 mobs) ?!
Hey I really like your videos and your super amazing at the game but when you're explaining your skill tree you should do it from Level 1 to 100 showing the skills because you just go through the page and I'm super confusing
Hope they add the build swap feature in S5. But I'm not holding my breath. Whirlwind is cool but it absolutely sucks on bosses. Hard to find builds that can nuke bosses, many can thrive on trash.
Why use the one handers instead of the two handed slasher ? attack speed ?

Whirlwind being channeled you loose the undying aspect healing and the Life on hit also, AFAIK. I went back to double swing...
I tried to build dust devil berserk when game came out and it was terrable. Now looks more then awesome with wirlwind, but I got demotivated a year ago so it is hard to come back to barb

Do you plan on trying an absolute twink speed run at all, seeing how fast you could hit 100 with ubers equipped at 35 as a comparison?

To re-spec, it's basically change one aspect and your skill tree. I'm going to flip mine over tonight.
However if the allure is leveling up a new barb - go for it. ; )
i have an issue with this game. i love to switch and try new builds all the time. and i wish they had a PRESET we could do where it would slot our gear and gems and paragon and skills for that build for a fee.
Been wanting to come back to D4. I played it at launch and I had a few issues. Do enemies still constantly scale with the players level? What are microtransactions looking like these days?

Why does it show no lung strike in your abilities.
One thing is the basic attack and charge/leap almost useless with these builds too can do triple shout and ground stomp, iron skin, wrath of berserker whatever pretty easy and not affect the build lol
does % to close enemies work on whirlwind?

It’s great for the mobs but the boss is still hard. Been able to do up to pit 78.
Okay but back to the double swing, I can't seem to get my cooldowns low enough, I'm still breezing through pit but I'm getting slower the higher I go due to my lack of cooldowns and idk what to do, like my shouts are on a 20 sec cd and wraith is on like a 50 sec cd and I can't seem to fix it

I did T4 capstone with Flay Barb lv54, a day before patch. It was easy.
I see some barbs with this build and they do throw some little arrows around when they spin, I though those were dust devils and I see that your barbd does not throw thos arrows (as well as my barb) but then, how do I get those arrows to shoot? what am I missing?
Hey! Its the elixir of sacred bolts ( think thats the name ) when u kill a mob his corpse shoots these arrows

How does this build do against single targets? I finally got my Barb to 100 but I find myself wasting so much gold changing my build around. I don’t know anyone who plays D4 so I’m solo the entire time. Fighting Uber bosses is the only thing I’m missing out on so if you or anyone in the comments can recommend a build that’s solid all around i would appreciate it! Also i have zero Uber uniques so this also limits me sadly.
