  • Hi all
I had a load of other mods, upgrades and maintenance that I didn't have time to fit into the video "Arrma Senton 3s BLX V3 Unboxing and Top Tips" so I have done them in this review video.
    Hope you find this useful.
These apply to any of the Arrma 3s range ie. Senton, Granite, Big Rock, Typhon.
    Many thanks for watching.
See you on the next one :-)

I know this is an older video, but I enjoyed you going through the Senton 3s. I just picked one up, and it was used, so I serviced the diffs, then went on a rip. The very next day the inner motor bearing seized, I am waiting on the FastEddie bearings for this, and I am upgrading the shocks to the Proline for the 3s series vehicles.

Hiya Nick. Yeah I think that the shocks are different to all the other ones out there. Hi there. Yeah the inner fender set is a must for the Senton. Doesn't stop everything going in but it helps. I did a video about those. I've made mine a bit lower and used thicker shock oil and now it handles more like a rally car which I like. Tend to only run it in the dry these days as the trucks are better in the mud. Oh yeah the Beetle is good but you need to be a bit careful with it compared to the Arrmas. The main problem I'm having with it is the paint falling off the inside of the body shell after its landed on the roof many times. Mine is possibly a bit fast on brushless. Hope you enjoy the build 😁👍

Also I was not impressed with Traxxas taking legal action against various RC brands like HPI and Arrma and trying to put them out of business. Basically more teeth on the pinion gives a higher gear so higher top speed with slower acceleration. The opposite is true of the spur gear ie. more teeth gives a lower gear ratio. The Senton comes as standard with a 20 tooth pinion whereas the Granite and Big Rock come with a 15 tooth because bigger wheels also increase the gear ratio. Hope this makes sense 😃

Hi there. Yeah the Arrma 3s range is great but make sure to do the checks that I go through in these videos. The Big Rock unboxing summarises the things to check. The problem with the Senton is that the body being over the wheels means that all the mud is directed into the chassis. I only really use mine in summer when it's dry. I use the other ones all year. Maybe look at the Big Rock?

Hi there. If you Google 'RC servo spline chart' you should find a list showing which manufactures use 25t and which use 23t. From there you need to do a bit of research into a particular one that is suitable. I hadn't realised the difference when I bought the JX Servo but luckily I made it fit. It seems that 25t is the most commonly used size. Hope this helps 😀
