I was just thinking yesterday. Would I buy the bag without the logo? If the answer is yes then probably I can get a less expensive similarly styled bag. Now if I am after the logo... Just like any work of art right? You pay whatever you think it's worth, and they're right to put any price as it is a choice... That's what I try to focus on so I don't feel like people are being ripped off. They're paying for a logo or a specific thing this bag has the others don't and they appreciate that. I liked the Dior video she did when she explains the tote won't give at the bottom and the structure and embroidery are really special. Then it makes more sense. I don't know why in my head I want the chanel logo on a classic flap. So eventually I'll give in and buy one but for now I am just trying to find something else that's special about it so I don't feel ripped off.
@@diodaon4898 that's good then. Because you have so much more to choose from. There's so many good quality items at affordable prices. Specially handmade and artisan like they would be unique too.
I don’t watch tv and/or listen to news. It’s great 🤗. I can live in blissful ignorance 👍🏽 I only listen to Select Radio or Beats 1 as they don’t constantly run mind numbing “virus news”. I watch Netflix … and chill 🤸🏽♀️ I get the odd update from my mum and/or bf (we don’t live together).
Amen! My husband noticed this, and I agree, that there’s so much holier than thou attitudes out there on social media regarding how we should react to what’s going on. Please don’t apologize for being happy and acting normal. I love it!
I have a Chanel WOC that I love. I use it whenever I travel or in the summer when I’m running around with my kids. It allows me to be hands free. All I really need is my credit cards, phone and a lipstick.
I mean, I am not an expert in luxury, I just watch Sophie’s and other youtubers videos, but charging aprox 2000£ for a WOC? Wtf, Chanel! We all know that when you are filthy rich you don’t even look at the prices but I personally think that asking that much for an item that is basically a glorified wallet is just nuts!!
In my currency they are up to $5000... its so insane!! (Thats one of the newer ones i love the look of, that has chanel across the top, not the original classic) If i won lotto i would buy one haha
For someone who in Luxury retail, even i recommend that you dont buy a WOC. With most brands, if you spend and extra £150 - £200 you can get an actual hand bag. For anyone considering getting one, my recommendation is just save that bit extra and get something from YSL, Givenchy or even Prada. P.S another fab and informative video as usuall x
I do love my Chanel wallet on chain because it is the only brand that has a long enough chain for me to wear crossbody (I’m 5’10) so I love wearing it dancing that way so I can keep it close.
@@marissagurney5285 I have the opposite problem. Shorty over here! I don't have the classic WOC. I have what they call a clutch-on-chain but if I remember correctly the chain should be the same or similar length. I tried on both the classic WOC and clutch-on-chain and ultimately opted for the clutch because I couldn't justify the higher cost of a WOC. This was purchased a year ago and they don't seem to carry this style anymore. They carry other clutches that actually look like clutches. Mine is not like the clutches you find on their website. Anyway, my chain is 48" long. Too long for me!
I completely agree! I'm 5'7 so not as tall as you but I can use it over a big winter jacket. I use it all the time! On the weekend. Vacation, movie, dinner, errands. Take care! 💕
I have three WOC's, one of them being the Dior one you used to have and two Chanels. I honestly love them and use them a lot, but I have to agree with you that they're not worth it at the pricepoint they sell for now. I wonder when Chanel's price bubble will burst, it's getting ridiculous at this point.
Just what we needed! And dont worry about being upbeat or not, most of us understand how seriously you guys take it and ourselves too - seeming upbeat is not something you should feel bad about! :) again loving your genuine and honest opinion on things - you're my favorite go-to luxury item guru!
I actually own a Chanel WOC and a rectangular Mini and tbh, I can fit the exact same amount in them. I love the WOC for travelling and actually use it more than my Mini because I feel it is a bit more understated, too :)
you always look impecable but the "im editing this at the moment" was great, you look lovely, so fresh and natural without make up. it definitely looks like you are taking great care of your skin. lots of love from spain
I personally think that a WOC is the perfect "bag" for special occasions, but the Chanel WOC is so overpriced... It's insane! So I prefer Lady Dior, Bvlgari or LV WOC. TFS ❤️
I love my wallet on chain as im tall and the chain length is perfect for wearing it cross body. For me , this is the best Chanel bag! I use mine as an evening bag nowadays . It was a lot less when i bought mine though. The alma bb is chic and is better value for money .
I’m smitten with my Chanel WOC and it’s one of my most used bags. It’s simple and classic and versatile! 💕 I don’t carry a lot so it’s perfect for me. I’ve used it for work, at formal events, running around with my kids... really any time is a good time for the Chanel WOC! It fits just as much as the Chanel mini flap bags and is significantly cheaper so to me, totally worth it!
Actually I think WOC is really useful when I travel. I can put my passport and use it as a wallet when I am abroad so its great. I love the alma bb and the speedy mini but its still too bulky when I travel.
I found out today that I have been very influenced by UA-camrs in recent years. Not only that my language skills have improved (which was the original reason why I watch videos from foreign-language UA-camrs), my home furnishings have also adapted in style to the "UA-cam style". In the last step, an adjustment is made in the clothing area. I like it. My buying behavior has also changed. I buy significantly more online than before (there is hardly any choice in brick-and-mortar retail). And my mood has improved. UA-cam makes me happy.
Hey Sophie! Firstly, that Chanel blazer looks INCREDIBLE on you! Secondly, I bought a Chanel wallet-on-chain 2 years ago, while at 31 rue Cambon. I also bought a large handbag that day. When I bought the WOC, I was thinking of using it as a wallet and dress-up clutch. However, I have ended up using it SO MUCH! I LOVE it!! I DO agree with what you are saying. However, for me, the WOC has turned out to be perfect! Stay safe, sweet lady!
Hi Sophie! I’m so glad you and a very few other YT channels say SLGs aren’t worth it. That advice has helped me prioritize what I want and also helped me realize that I don’t change my SLGs out that much. I really don’t have time for that. It also helped me look outside the super expensive luxury market for SLGs. Right now I’m using 3 SLGs by Furla - (super fun colors and durable leather) and my Dior wallet. I use, appreciate and enjoy the few SLGs I have every time I reach into my bag. Thanks for the wonderful video!!!
You must have read my mind, Sophie- I was just looking at coral mini square flap bags all of this week! I've been super hesitant to take the plunge on WOCs, but wasn't sure why. I'm definitely going to aim for the mini square flap now.
I bought the Louis Vuitton Felicie for my niece as a high school graduate present. I consider it as a quasi WOC because the inserts come out. For her, it was a terrific buy because she was off to college and it became an extremely versatile piece. Plus it was her first nicer handbag.
I love Chanel but it is sooooooo expensive it’s just ridiculous. The staff are rude and standoffish and it’s not worth it when there are so many other designers out there. Lovely to see you again and I hope you are keeping well xx
Sophie Shohet | Fashion Beauty Lifestyle Me too in France we are in quarantine and it doesn’t bother me because I never leave my house 😭 i love being at home
I’ve got Chanel wallet on a chain and I absolutely love it! It’s my most used bag. I fit in it 2 phones, lipstick, access keys to my home, credit cards and one wet wipe. I go with it almost everywhere: to walk in the city, for a date, shopping, clubbing. In a larger bag I carry exactly same things! Well may be a powder mirror & a small hand cream.
Great video! I have a 6 month old red Chanel WOC with champagne gold hardware and magnetic 🧲 clasp. I JUST LOVE IT! I used it over the holidays while in London. Great when you don’t want to carry a bag. I also brought my Chanel jumbo and rarely used it. WOC’s have their place in collections. Hands free, light weight, care free and holds all my essentials for a day of shopping.
So I’ve been watching your channel for a little bit now and I was watching some of your old videos and came across the ghost one. That story was so interesting, I had no idea you did videos like that . You never disappoint. Great content!!
I have a couple luxury WOCs and I understand your points, but I love mine! The opportunity cost of a WOC for me is a wallet + small purse, so I'm happy with most WOC prices and value. That being said, I'm very particular about the functionality of a WOC to ensure it fits every need I have (e.g. has room for my cell phone, my car key, and a lip balm). To each their own! I just discovered your channel and am thankful I found you! Looking forward to more vids :)
I agree.. I personally rather buy an actual handbag than SLG.. I like the idea of matching handbag and wallet but with the ridiculous price tag of SLGs I don't think its worth it.. I do own a chanel WOC, its functional for me once in while especially a quick trip to grocery store etc., but it's frustrating when you have to downsize and end up forgetting something..
As a first bag, I think the CHANEL woc is a good place to start if you cannot find the mini. The classic woc is just under 2000 pounds (the one that was 2340 was the special edition one). I remember the woc served different purposes for me - it was a clutch, cute little crossbody bag and excellent for travel. I used it a lot for travel (of course I would bring a tote as well), but I would slot in mine and my husband’s passports and foreign currency in the pocket the goes all the way down the flap under the flap. I would slot in boarding passes, cards, other cash in the other compartments. In the main compartment I could fit my iPhone and my husbands iPhone plus. the leather does give a bit. They are also easier to sell and a classic piece. I could also fit in a key fob, cards, compact, phone, cash, lipstick for parties and use as a clutch. Now that I have other bags, I don’t use the woc as much (only as a travel bag). I may want to sell mine, but I know I’ll get my money back on it because the price has gone up since then. Part of me wants to keep it cause it’s classic. The newer versions of the woc now have a magnetic closure instead of the pop button and the inside zipper pulls are metal instead of plastic - which is probably why the price has gone up so much.
I was obsessed with WOCs for ages. I bought a gorgeous black le boy lambskin WOC from Chanel but only used it twice. You’re right. Nothing fits! I don’t know how other chics use this but I need cards phone car keys and house keys. No way. I sold it a few years later at the price I bought it so I didn’t really lose any money except postage. I don’t regret selling it at all. Will always love the looks of them but not for me. :) So great that you did this video. I wish I had seen this before purchasing one. There are only videos on how great it is. That’s what made me buy one. Nice to hear the truth....
I have a Louis Vuitton mini pochette for 4 years now and I bought a crossbody strap to go with it. I also have other bags but this was one of my most used bags (pochettes). But now that I've got a bigger phone I can't use it any longer... So I'm thinking of buying a Louis Vuitton Pochette Felicie.
Hi Sophie! I totally agree with you about WOCs. I have a beautiful Chanel WOC in red lambskin, which I use in the evening. I love it, but I think saving for a handbag is a better investment, especially with Chanel. Thanks Sophie! You look beautiful.
So happy to see your video today! I feel like it’s been a week maybe? Your voice is so soothing I almost don’t care what topic are you talking. I just enjoy listening to you in the background.
I have 2 designer WOCs (Chanel & Dior). The Chanel I bought back in 2006 and the Dior in 2011. I love them both, but they don’t get a ton of use these days, as I bought them in the days before I had children and needed to start carrying the kitchen sink with me! I will keep the ones I have forever, but probably won’t buy any more, mostly because I can’t be bothered to swap all my cards out when I want to use them. I truly love your content and just enjoy your personality and perspective. You are lovely inside and out and your videos give me something to look forward to during these uncertain times. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. ❤️
Love the distraction- which we need right now. I bought a mini bag- very similar to Mulberry- from M&S for £39. Lovely leather and the sort of thing M&S used to do really well.
I do agree about Wallets on Chain. They're in that weird sort of 'not-quite-wallet, not-quite-bag' category. If the price was still affordable and not within hair's reach of the Mini Flaps, I think it would make sense that it would be an entry-level item for Chanel and thus attractive to new buyers wanting to buy a Chanel 'bag' but not having the budget for a Classic flap. Alas, they priced themselves out of that market and even the thought of a Chanel WOC for me personally is hugely unattractive for that reason, even though I did fancy buying one when I was younger. I think small leather goods can be a good investment in terms of cost-per-wear if you only buy what you're sure would be practical and what suits your lifestyle. I've had one long wallet from LV's denim collection I've used for nearly a decade. It's been put through the paces with daily use and there's some wear on one of the corners but on the whole, it's more than made up for cost-per-wear. I'm actually looking to downsize to a cardholder now, especially since e-wallets and cashless payments are more widely accepted. Also, even though cash is still very common in my country, being under lockdown for Covid-19 and trying to minimise contact with cash changing hands is really changing the way we spend money here.
Thank you for being positive, transparent, logical...you are beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside. I’ve listened to your advice about SLGs and WOCs, and have never regretted it. Keep safe 💞
Thanks for the videos. I enjoy watching them totally agree with you on WOC. For the price of some of the WOC why not get a bag that you can use more often and will fit a lot more?
I love your videos Sophie, you’ve saved your subscribers and I lots of money. Thanks for the hard hitting truth! WOC are indeed the biggest waste of money. I bought a Ferragamo one with the bow and sold it a couple years later at 80% of what I paid for. Not a big loss but I should have used the money to get a Neverfull when prices were cheaper!
I definitely say there’s a certain satisfaction when everything matches however we still have to proceed with wisdom. Luxury is a beautiful thing and treating yourself every now and then is great. However I find it interesting that most of the videos now that are speaking about luxury brands and these exacerbated prices are looking at their collection and seeing how much money they could’ve saved if they had just waited or wish they didn’t purchase an item. The good thing in all of this is evaluating what mistakes were made and then moving forward using strategy with making sensible purchases.
Love your videos Sophie! I shared your thoughts about the Chanel WOC when I first purchased it. I had so much buyers remorse, I could hardly fit anything in it! However after more use the bag does stretch and give a little so now I can fit cards, phone, keys and lip gloss and I’m loving it now! The only con for me is the press stud closure. I wish it was magnetic. X
As a SAHM with back and hip issues, I get plenty of use from my WOC. Is the price excessive? Yes but I use it on a regular. I can fit cards, keys, lip balm, lip gloss, hand sanitizer, fem wipe and pad, phone and inhlaler all in my WOC with out stretching and distorting it. So I’m often confused when I see people say they can only fit a phone and keys. I have less back and hip pain so it was worth it for me.
I love how you smash it in your £5 raspberry Chanel jacket, then “editing Sophie” pops in looking equally cute!!! I love using the LV félicie Pochette daily...it fits flat on the body - and when I want to carry a bag I just pop it into the NeoNoe and use it like a wallet...it’s so compact. So they work together. I’d love CHANEL WOC because I know that would use it a lot. But £2000 for a WOC? No, it’s just not worth it. For £2000 it has to have more versatility. I remember when a Chanel double flap was £2000 at Selfridges. Why didn’t I buy one then 🤣🤦🏼♀️
I always love your honest share and review. I own a few Chanel bag and used to think of buying a WOC, but after buying many Chanel, I now think it reach to the point that “it’s not worth it” any more. And with the new quality issue with Chanel, I think start in 2020, I’m so done with Chanel LOL
6:40 i get it. Good point, i do have an off brand wallet on a chain and still would love to “upgrade” to a a Chanel one (who wouldn't lol) . I get my 5 year old boy’s wheelchair in and out. It requires me to put it together (it comes down in 4 pieces so it not so heavy) Any other type of bag gets on my way and bothers me lol. So i guess it is a lifestyle/functional/taste thing when it comes to handbags. 🤷🏻♀️🌷
love this video! my first luxury bag purchase was my lady dior clutch/woc in the ultra matte calfskin that included a card case and small zip makeup bag. it was like getting 3 items for one price. i got it earlier this year at the end of January/beginning of February. Dior was at the top of my list, so it seemed to be the best value without breaking the bank, not to mention i was in absolute love when i saw it in person and tried it on. i tend to not carry around a whole lot with me and i was scared to spend a large amount of money for a first luxury handbag. my second choice was the alma, which will most likely be my next bag. I love your channel sophie, hope you and david are staying healthy and sane lol!
I have a Chanel WOC and it is great for when I am travelling on business. I use it for the evenings when I just need cards, my phone and lipstick. It's quite handy for that.
I have a large a Chanel bag collection, and one WOC. I have the classic style in black caviar with gold hardware. It is a great little bag to have. I don’t use it a lot, but it is great for traveling/sightseeing since it fits flat against your body and you can put your coat over it and it is completely hidden from view. I use my minis much more, but I am glad to have one WOC in my collection.
You are so right and this video is indeed very helpful for people to think twice before getting something or at least do good research before shopping for luxury. Thank you🌹
I'm so glad I'm not alone in thinking WOCs are a waste of money! I'll take a bag instead, thanks! Thank you for being so honest and not pushing the 'oh you MUST get one of these' line that others do. Stay safe and keep your common sense coming! 💖
I own the classic WOC and I do love it. I can wear it 4 different ways, double the strap and wear it on my shoulder, as a cross body, on the arm, and as a clutch. I only use it on special occasions, but I love it. It is my smallest bag. I wouldn't buy another WOC from any fashion house but at the time, it was between the WOC and the small rectangle mini bag. I didn't like how bulky the Mini rectangle bag sat on my hip when I wore it cross body and the WOC sits flat against my side. I have decided to buy a small square mini flap bag and my SA is on the look out for the Black in the cavier leather with gold hardware as these are popular and they don't keep them in stock. The only reason I want this bag is because I'm 5'1 and the chain is short. This will be my only Chanel bag as I refuse to pay +5,000 USD for a bag, I can not do it as there are so many beautiful bags out there for less. Question: I only own a few SLG, I use them all daily. I only buy them if I will use them. I have reached out to my SA at Chanel about the Classic Card Holder (not in the boy print that you own) but why do you not like it? I have a large LV wallet which I have used everyday for the last 3 years. It's in perfect condition as it's leather. I just bought the LV Speedy Nano and I need a small compact wallet to fit inside, one I can use with my clutches as well. I was torn between the Classic Chanel Card holder with the 3 card slots or this Classic Card holder with the back pocket (like your boy). Which would you choose and why don't you like your boy Card holder? I need a small/compact wallet (only 1) and am trying to pick the perfect one. :)
I think you are really on point. I never bought “wallet on chain”. Actually there are lots of small bags are “small” enough. And personally I always carry more stuff when I leave house. So WOC is really useless for me. :) like your Videos
I totally agree with you I bought one WOC few months ago and I just returned because don't fit anything I spend $ 3,200 on it I when to the LV boutique and I got pochette metis and alma bb they worth the money also you can fit more in those ones then WOC if I gonna get something from chanel is gonna be the small caviar double flap that's all
Lol I did the exact same thing! I went to Paris last year and bought a Chanel card holder just so I can sit on the stairs and get the white bag!!! 😂😂😂. ❤️ you from Miami! Stay safe!
Hi Sophie. Thank you for making more videos. I look forward to them once I come back from work and it takes my mind off the virus. Especially working as a midwife always on edge everyday at work x
Hi Sophie! Hope you are well, Great video!! this is my first time writing to you. Could you make a video on the one bag you would buy from each of your fav luxury brands under $1000?
I purchased a Louis Vuitton limited edition wallet for my birthday this year, even though I’ve been saving for a handbag. It was my first luxury purchase and my first SLG - I’m so glad I did purchase it, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to purchase SLGs/WOC in the future. What made this worthwhile for me was the fact that it was a larger size than the usual tiny LV wallets, without a dramatic price increase to match the larger size (the fun print is a bonus, I suppose)
ARE YOU A CARROT, AN EGG, OR A COFFEE BEAN? Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity, do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength? Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after death, a break up, a financial hardship, or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and a hardened heart? Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hours are the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate to another level? How do you handle adversity? AGAIN, ARE YOU A CARROT, AN EGG, OR A COFFEE BEAN? www.alanwongs.com/blog/are-you-carrot-egg-or-coffee-bean
I'm with you on this one Sophie. Instead of buying a new WOC I would buy a pre-loved proper bag.WOCs are not worth it. Wishing you and David a lovely weekend!! :)
Love the WOC even thought I haven’t worn it in a while. Chain to long on me. If I had to buy a WOC again I’d prob go for the Dior WOC. Such a big difference in price and just as beautiful!
I love my Chanel WOC even if it was stupid expensive. I use it all the time on weekends because I live in NYC and like having a light hands free bag. It also fits a decent amount in my opinion. I carry my cards, phone, keys, AirPods, hand sanitizer, lip balm, and hand cream in it. I think of it as a small bag and not necessarily a wallet.
Agree. I see some ppl buy so much SLGs that I wonder if it's necessary. All that money combined could buy some nice bag(s). I have a WOC and yes, I bought it because it costs less than a bag. I could have waited and spend a little more on a bag. However, at this point, I still like my WOC 'cause I don't carry very much with me. But if I do, I definitely use my other bags. Thanks for sharing!
Chanel WOC’s are $4015 with tax in Canadian funds now. Last year I was going to buy a pre-loved one for $3200 but ended up finding a vintage med classic flap for $4000. The prices are just crazy.
Honestly, this is why I almost exclusively buy Coach. I feel like I am getting the same or better quality, fabulous designs for a fraction of the price. I'm simply NOT going to pay almost $1000 for a coated canvas bag. I just won't. Everyone is different, but I really think more people should look at brands like Coach.
@@elizabethgamboademoreno7807 You don't have to :) I already did put it to the test. I had few Coach bags in my life but after trying designers bags I definitely can see the HUGE difference. I am not trying to put down less expensive brands, I actually have a couple of Dooneys, which I still wear on occasions and they are OK just like the Coach bags but quality is not the same like in my Dior or YSL bags, period. You get what you pay for....
Great advice! I think it depends on how much use one will get with a woc. Only reason chanel woc works for me is coz I get a lot of wear out of them..much more than my small-medium sized bags.
I bought a Chanel WOC in 2013 and have used it a grand total of 3 times, LOL. Not even really sure why I bought it anymore. I had other Chanel bags before then. I'm keeping it around just in case I need it for that one-off occasion. I love that raspberry color on you btw!
Have your opinion changed about the WOC considering all the price increases at Chanel I have a woc and I think it’s perfect fits everything and keeps you hands free
I wonder what you think about wallets on a chain now since COVID. I stopped carrying larger bags and I only carry wristlet and wallets on change so I can run in and out of stores hands free.
The Chanel WOC's are overpriced. The problem with the comparison with the Alma, though, for me, is that I don't think you can carry an Alma at a formal or smart evening event. It would look ridiculous with any form of evening dress. The selling point of the WOC is its versatility - it looks very smart for evening wear (as if it is a real evening bag) but is usable on more informal occasions when you don't need to carry much. I suppose it depends how often you dress formally. Personally, I only use it a few times a year (and on holiday) but it's worth it because I don't have anything else to carry on those occasions.
I think if you were someone who carries a large tote around a lot, a Wallet on Chain makes sense, if you want to occasionally just grab that before going into a store while leaving your bigger bag in the car. I think it is just preference. I agree with you the prices of some luxury WOCs really don't make sense. I would consider getting a WOC in the future, but for an appropriate price. Thanks for the video!
I love my WOC. I used to feel the same way you did and thought it was a waste of money so i bought a jumbo flap. But they r actually quite heavy and the chains dig into my shoulder. The WOC on the other hand literally is perfect. It holds all my essentials, looks classy, goes with everything, can be dressed up or down and most importantly its soooo light weight. NO MORE SHOULDER PAIN. I never thought i would become a small bag girl but some how i barely reach for my jumbo anymore. :\ i feel almost guilty not using her anymore. Lol
I am currently saving for a WOC the LV Felice Pochette, as I find myself wishing I had a WOC for nights out. When I go on a night out I only bring my wallet and a lipstick so I think I would use a WOC more than Id think but sure I completely understand your view, it can be quite useless if you prefer to carry more things. Also I bought the LV Alma BB thanks to your helpful videos on it! xxxxxx
The only "wallet" on-chain worth buying is the VIVIENNE WESTWOOD, Pimlico wallet-on chain bag. It's actually fairly priced compared to a full-size bag by her, and it's roomier than a traditional wallet chain bag; so you can actually use it as a cute dinner bag.
I have a WOC from YSL and I only use it when I go out for dinner to a fancy restaurant. At the time, I paid about €700 I think, but now the prise had risen to about €900. YSL is really worth the price for me, quality is great and customer service was reaaaalllly good!
I bought my Dior Diorama WOC at the Dior store in Paris and it proved to be one of the most essential accessories I own. I carry it to dinners and theater as a clutch, and it fits my night-out essentials perfectly. I also carry it for travel because this is where I keep my passport, foreign currency, and coins in the zipped compartment. It is very easy to sling across your body at the airport and pull our your ID instead of reaching into a bag every time you need to do it. I bought it in a burgundy color, which was not available in the US and was only available in Paris. It is such a pretty color that goes well with tons of my outfits and shoes. The store SA kept pointing me towards Lady Dior bags when I was buying the wallet, but this is just what I fell in love with. On another note, a full-size Diorama bag did not work well for me. I tried it on and tried to fit my daytime essentials into it, and realized that it did not even hold my sunglasses case due to a curved bottom. But the WOC in this style I absolutely love.
those Chanel prices are the biggest rip off ever...my humble opinion.
Completely agree... especially for something so mass-produced.
Elizabeth Gamboa de Moreno im buying for a quality not a logo..i dont like flashy logos, its tacky. But i agree that chanel price is a rip off
@@diodaon4898 that's good then. Because you have so much more to choose from. There's so many good quality items at affordable prices. Specially handmade and artisan like they would be unique too.

I only listen to Select Radio or Beats 1 as they don’t constantly run mind numbing “virus news”. I watch Netflix … and chill 🤸🏽♀️
I get the odd update from my mum and/or bf (we don’t live together).
Michelle Flynn I need to use mine more.
Michelle Flynn Ditto!!
I’m debating between the mini or the WOC because I tend to carry a bit more like lipstick and the LV cles pouch and mask… also hand sanitizer.. 😩
(Thats one of the newer ones i love the look of, that has chanel across the top, not the original classic)
If i won lotto i would buy one haha
Hug o It’s about exclusivity. They don’t want ‘everyone’ to be buying their goods.
Yeah, when I see WOC prices I have to blink my eyes several times to make sure I’m not reading them wrong😅
I came here to say the same thing! I know they do it to make them exclusive but OMG the prices are ridiculous!
Idk and the fact that the Chanel flap has been replicated so many times & is all over social media
Sophie, please do a video of best luxury bags under 1,000
Pretty sure she already has :)
She mentioned in the video that she could do one, not that she had already.

Maria thanks so much
I do love my Chanel wallet on chain because it is the only brand that has a long enough chain for me to wear crossbody (I’m 5’10) so I love wearing it dancing that way so I can keep it close.
Jeannie West Do you know how long the chain is in inches/centimeters?
I’m 5’9 and have the same problem
Take care! 💕
Marissa Gurney let me check...
I’m a bit obsessed with wallet on chains! 😅 I think the designs/size look better than their larger versions. But in general I do like small bags ❤️
me too ! I always tend to gravitate towards my wocs more than my medium classic bags.
Totally agree! Not a big fan of the Chanel purses but the wallet on chain looks more modern.
Saint Laurent WOC are beautiful and worth the price
I have 3 wallet on chain
Chanel , Louis Vuitton and Longchamp. I love all of them . LV wallet on chain is more functional .
OMG! I LOVE my YSL so much, have used it to death and bought it long time ago when it was cheaper. I have a Chanel WOC and I've never used it.
I’ve seen one in red that’s gorgeous, but I don’t like that it’s made of calfskin.
Nora I have the red one
What and size do you have? I want to buy it but I am confused about the size small or large.
I've always wanted to be someone who could use a woc elegantly, but I'm a medium bag person.
I know it probably wasn't for comedic effect, but when the wallets kept falling, I couldn't help but smile!
Life before COVID seemed so carefree and simple 😂xx
I have the Dior silver woc, it’s small, but soooo pretty.
TFS ❤️
Sissy.C I love Bvlgari, I think it’s an underrated brand.
Sissy.C I prefer the ysl ones
I love my chanel classic woc! It’s so worth it
@@theamethyst93 Yes, I forgot YSL! YSL is one of my favorite luxury brands and the YSL WOC are amazing with beautiful colours!

I just use free tote bags and a backpack that was like $30, but I really enjoy your content!!
I love my wallet on chain as im tall and the chain length is perfect for wearing it cross body. For me , this is the best Chanel bag! I use mine as an evening bag nowadays . It was a lot less when i bought mine though. The alma bb is chic and is better value for money .
Thank you for being real. Also, that color on you is fabulous!
I’m smitten with my Chanel WOC and it’s one of my most used bags. It’s simple and classic and versatile! 💕
I don’t carry a lot so it’s perfect for me.
Seeing cute and pretty things at the moment brighten up the mood
I love my WOC. I use it quote often and more than any of medium-size bags now.
Thanks for answering my question babe! When quarantine is finally over I'm definitely going into Chanel to look at some different options.
I love Chanel but it is sooooooo expensive it’s just ridiculous. The staff are rude and standoffish and it’s not worth it when there are so many other designers out there.
Lovely to see you again and I hope you are keeping well xx
Loved the pop ins from “editing Sophie” 😂 classic
I love the Sophie in a blanket with glasses on. I hope you will do videos like that in a chill mood 😊
Haha! That’s me most days 😭xx
I really like that multicolor print from Louis Vuitton. Maybe they’ll bring it back!
The color of your blazer suits you very well (plus the lipstick). This was a great video, very informative.
This maroon(?) pink colour looks so good on you Sophie!
I actually really like Wocs they serve a purpose. I use them for weddings, travel and just running quick errands.
I love Chanel WOC. Maybe because I am 5 feet 7 inches tall . The Chanel WOC looks glamorous as a dinner bag too.
Hey Caleb! I have seen you in the comments and I love seeing you here!🙏🏽☺️👍🏽
That house was CREEPY. I still think about it sometimes now 😳xxx
Girl, as so soon as you said you don't own one I was like "but the silver Dioooor" 😆
I really love the look of the Chanel 19 WOC, as its kinda like a mini bag more than an actual wallet. What do you think? X
Thanks for your tips, that's why I didn't buy WOC just to get a chanel bag. I saved and bought the classic flap and the small flap bag :D
You look great. I love WOCs but I see your point.
WOCs have very slim profiles so they can sit flush against the body, especially worn crossbody, so that's a huge plus.
love this video! my first luxury bag purchase was my lady dior clutch/woc in the ultra matte calfskin that included a card case and small zip makeup bag. it was like getting 3 items for one price. i got it earlier this year at the end of January/beginning of February.
Yay! First
For evening, special occasion, and nights out dancing I find WOC practical. I love my Saint Laurant Kate and my Chanel WOC
Your still my inspiration. Thank you for sharing. Keeps my spirit up during this difficult time.xxx
I have a Chanel WOC and it is great for when I am travelling on business. I use it for the evenings when I just need cards, my phone and lipstick. It's quite handy for that.
We all love you S. And that's what matters your followers. Please don't waste your time with negative comments. All the best to you.
Keep making videos love them!! Especially during this time!! Do more on your brand collections/storage/goods care etc!!!
YES!!!!

I'm with you on this one Sophie. Instead of buying a new WOC I would buy a pre-loved proper bag.WOCs are not worth it. Wishing you and David a lovely weekend!! :)

@@SophieShohetOfficial I'm almost done!!! And honestly it was fun!!!
Try furla if you like coach. Good quality and good pricing too. Coach is great quality.
Quality of Coach may be nice for the price, but it's NOT the same as lux brands.
@@oldpalmcity I'd put that to a test...
@@oldpalmcity I am absolutely with you, Coach is not a lux brand. I remember way back when it was great quality. But they sold out to China.
Will check that out, thanks :)
